Great Tape!

So, I threw my Stanley tape away after getting this new one. The Stanley was square, metal, had annoying European measurements which is useless and makes the tape too busy to read. The Stanley was hard to read. This tape is way easier to read, round so more comfortable in your hand along with the rubber grip, perfect. Self lock and release button, something that should be on any tape meas. The only thing to make this perfect would have been White instead of yellow!

Perfect tape measure and amazing auto lock!

First off I LOVE the auto lock feature!!! That feature alone makes this tape measure amazing. Also, it is very easy to pull the tape out. It glides with such ease. I bought this so I could have a tape measure if my own instead of always having to find my husband’s. Well mind is definitely better than his. Ha! I will be checking to see if I can get the exact one in a shorter length to keep in my purse for shopping as this will weigh my purse down.

I didn't know I wanted this feature!

I bought this bc it was heavy duty, and a good price. The fact that it doesn't automatically retract has been surprisingly convenient and helpful. I didn't purchase it for that feature, but now I wouldn't want to live without it. You don't have to lock it in place while you're measuring- it does so automatically. You have to push a button to let it retract, and it does so smoothly and at an adequate speed. No more making sure the cat and small children aren't around to be terrified.

Handy and Compact

I got my first tape measure in my Christmas stocking at age 5. I think my parents were being creative, or maybe they were on sale. My brothers each got one, too. We proceeded to measure everything...and it was awesome. My experiences with tape measures since then have been lackluster. I inevitably try to measure something on my own that is too long and has no "hook" to hold the end tab for me; the tape will bend, and I'll get frustrated. Or I'll push the retract button, only to get a face full of fast-moving aluminum. There is no such whiplash with this tape measure. And it is sturdy, so I can comfortably extend it 6' (or more) before the tape can't hold its own weight. It's compact, sturdy, and when the tape retracts it makes the satisfying "thud-roll" that I appreciate. The numbers are clearly marked and easy to read. I got this when it was on sale, but would happily spring for another one at regular price. All in all, an excellent product.

A large green measuring machine.

One of those items I could have just bought at the store but was super lazy. Well I'm glad I bought this one because that green color is amazing. It seems very sturdy and is very easy to use and the ability to let it slide or lock it off is about as good as it gets for this level of tool. It's pretty heavy and big. If you don't want to Lug something really heavy around you might try to find one that's a size smaller.

Just what I needed! Get you one!

I looked all over my folks house for a tape measure for a project I was trying to quickly accomplish. Even thought they said they had 2 or 3 "somewhere", No one could find them. I ordered this and it was delivered 2 days later. Excellent quality. Seriously love this thing. The self lock options on tape measures are the best improvement to them, ever! When you pull out the measuring part, it stays out. You just push the button to retract as much/far as you want. It's an excellent quality and I'm super happy with it. (A week later they found the others, but they weren't as good quality as this one. Not that you can have too many, obviously! :) ) Get one or 3 for your house too!

My favorite

Out of the 4 different tapes I've bought recently, plus several I already owned, this is my favorite. Granted, that's with limited use so far, so I can't say anything about durability. However, this locking mechanism is fantastic: very smooth deployment, very positive auto lock, and provides complete control over retraction with minimal effort. It fits the hand naturally as well, with a soft rubber grip. Addition: the markings' length difference between 1/16th, 1/8th, & 1/4 are substantial and greater than some other tapes I have, which makes it very easy to read quickly.

Best one ever

Love it! Love that it doesn't snap back when you pull it out. The old style - will snap back unless you lock it. This one stays locked unless you "unlock" it for it to slide back in. Also, it's not that sharp metal material. For anyone who has ever cut their finger when the old style ones snap back with the sharp metal you know what I mean!

Sexy rexy green self lock 25-foot power tape measure.

Here's a man toy you gotta get. (Gals, you will like it, too!) You're not likely to lose this tape measure because it's bright green. Great Little Tape Measure

I own several of these tape measures. They are cost efficient, and well-made. The tape is medium duty, and you can take it out about 6ft or so before in snaps over. I appreciate the self-lock feature, and it retracts smoothly. The retracting mechanism feels solid, and I don't anticipate it failing anytime soon. As long as Komelon continues to put forth quality tools and a decent price point, I will continue to be a customer. Definitely Recommend!
