My black tank has built in washers and I use ...
My black tank has built in washers and I use them on a regular basis. But every 6 months to a year I use this product. Before use I use a cleaner and empty and flush the tank till clear. Then use this product to further clean the tank and it produces. There must be build up not dislodged by the built in sprayers and does not clean with cleaners. Again I am not sticking my head in there to look but it does get a lot of stuff out left by the other cleaning methods.

Super stinky and crud was caked on the inside of ...
Bought a used Tavel trailer last week. Super stinky and crud was caked on the inside of tank as well as inside of the toilet pipe. And our sensors were showing full even after dumping. We were worried about a clog. Very gross. Bought the swivel stick and used it our first time camping. It did an amazing job! So much debris came out of the tank. Also used it for the pipe going down into the tank and the swivel stick got everything off. Flushed the tank nicely. Our sensors now work and the odor is gone. Will not camp without it! Easy to store and easy to use. Hope it lasts a long time!

Perfect for our RV
We saw this first on YouTube. We've owned RVs for over 30 years. We full time RV now and travel, volunteering throughtout the US at State Parks or National Parks. For those of you who RV, you know those sensors in our black tanks rarely work and you need a wrist strapped flash light to look down the toilet to see how full your tank may be! We recently had an 'unfortunate' incident (as sometimes happens) and needed to work hard to clear it from the tank and lines. Cold weather didn't help. Afterward, we looked for a solution and found this. After use, we were ecstatic with the results. Our bathroom doesn't have a window so we ran our connected hose under the RV and through the front door to the toilet. This device was easy to connect, easy to use and did the job of clearing out and cleaning out our tank. It also cleaned off the sensor. It's been about a month and the sensor isn't operational again but I'm sure that's gonna be the norm. I dont think we'll need to use this wand each time we flush but I'm happy with my purchase.

Good, practical way to blast out black water tank
Well made and designed, shut off valve worked well, comfortable handle grip, good length to reach inside of tank thru commode. Only difficulty with use was some back splatter if wand wasn't extended full length into tank as I moved it around. I fixed this by cutting hole into middle of platic oatmeal carton lid and pushing wand thru it, this eliminated any back splash problem and can be reused or tossed after use.

Works great!!
Works great! We have a 2007 5th wheel that we bought used. It had sat for a while before we used it and of course, toilet paper dried in the holding tank in that time. Our first camping trip was a mess!! Clogged up tank and pipe! Got it cleaned and we haven't had trouble until our last trip. We had extra people camping with us this time and not everyone knows camping toilet etiquette! So....of course our toilet needed attention! We got home with no incident, but I ordered this immediately! It was easy to use and really cleaned our tank. Much cheaper than taking it in to have it done professionally and much more convenient to be able to flush good before leaving campsite!!!

works great for add-on black tank flush
My RV didn't have a black tank flush installed originally and they really need one to clean/flush solids out of the tank. I set this up inside down into the tank and then run a garden hose out the window so that its all set it up before I arrive at the dump station. All I have to do is connect the water hose supply from the dump station and connect my sewer hose. I turn the water supply on and it sprays a jet of water around the inside of my black tank while I watch the hose connection outside. I run it for a 4 or 5 minutes each time I dump and it works very well at keeping my tank clean! Highly recommended for those who don't have a black tank flush nozzle from the factory.

Great additional means of cleaning
One thing to keep in mind is the strength of your hose pressure will impact its power. I did not have sludge im the black tank as I originally thought when I purchased my camper, so I can’t attest to if it would cure that. I was very happy with it for standard cleaning I ended up doing. My tank was empty, and I could hear how fast it was spinning and could also tell when I bumped the bottom of the tank. The on and off lever is imperative to its function. The whole thing is plastic, but it held up fine. When you are power washing the walls and water is coming out the discharge clear, you can be confident your tank is clean. This also fixed my fill sensor that must have had something stuck to it causing it to read full all the time which is why is thought I bought the camper with sludge. If it broke, I would buy another.

INCREDIBLY POWERFUL TOOL!!!
Upon first hooking up this tool I turned on the water valve on it to see how it functioned. It was impressive. I had a clogged up tank on my 32 foot Keystone Sprinter travel trailer. This was due to me not using the “proper toilet paper”. My black water tank level indicator showed me that the level would never empty below 2/3. I drained the tank outside as much as possible, (2/3), and left the emptying valve open. I them ran my water hose with this tool attatched to the end of it inside my camper. I depressed the foot valve and inserted it into the tank. I sprayed the upper portion of the tank to clean it as much as possible. When it began to fill up I allowed the tool to go down into the tank below the water line, creating a vortex of water. I could hear the swivel end spinning like a propeller. When the tank was completely full, I turned off the water supply valve located on the tool. I listened to the tank begin to slowly empty. Then, I heard it suddenly GUSH out of the drain! PROBLEM SOLVED!!! I allowed the tank to empty. I began to wash the inside of the tank with the tool, and did this for about 10 minutes. I shut off the outside drain and began to clean the tank inside again. When the water filled up the truck tank this time it was with CLEAR WATER! I drained the tank again & checked my gauge. COMPLETELY EMPTY!!!! This is one fine product.

Easy to use
It’s a dirty job but someone has to do it! This little contraption really comes in handy. It help gets the extra gunk out of our tank before we leave the campground. It’s a good idea to have your rv leaning towards the side the black tank is on when you hook it up at the dump station. It allows all that water from the sprayer to work that gunk loose and out of your tank. A strong word of caution- do not, I repeat, DO NOT pull the wand up to look down in the tank WHILE the water is turned on! I’m... not... speaking from experience or anything... just heard this tip... lol

This is the 2nd hose adapter I have bought, and it is perfect!
This is the 2nd hose adapter I have bought, and it is perfect! This Hose Adapter is PERFECT! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My first one was the Lasco 09-1451NL No Lead, Dual Thread, Male Hose Faucet Adapter Amazon took it back with their GREAT return policy. From my review of the Lasco 09-1451NL: I needed a Garden hose adapter to fill my Rug Dr. carpet cleaner with hot water from my kitchen sink with an old washing machine hose. There's an extra, smaller diameter weird threaded section jutting out from the garden hose thread! There are 2 problems with that thing sticking out: 1). It BLOCKS the female garden hose threads from going up far enough to the male threads on the adapter! I actually found one hose here that I was able to mesh about 1/2 of a thread on, but I had to push up real hard while trying to screw it on. 2). That smaller diameter threaded part that juts out does not seal the garden hose's rubber washer properly. If you could get the hose to thread up onto the male threads, the rubber washer would be forced into a cone shape when tightened! You COULD cut that thing off with a hacksaw, and it would work, but I'm not gonna do that. I want one that actually works out of the box. I'm really tired of modifying defective products. Be careful what you order, unless you actually need that extra thread under the hose thread. There are a LOT of these adapters at Amazon that are designed the same way. (Not Amazon's fault. They just sell the stuff). I re-ordered this Camco 40083 Faucet Adapter, which doesn't have that protruding thread.
