My old flapper was leaking, so I took a chance here. Like many others my packaging was destroyed during shipping, but all the pieces were intact. Upon install I came across the same issue as others - If you press the toilet handle like a normal person, the water empties out of the tank and into the bowl for 1-2 seconds. You have to hold down the handle for 2-3 seconds for a full flush, but then there is no adjustment. Fix: Add a float to the chain between the flapper and handle. Now it works perfectly and is adjustable. Been working great for 2 months now.

My old valve was leaking ever so slightly that I didn't realize it. But between flushes I was losing water into the bowl which meant the flush was using more water than necessary. Not enough to lower the tank to cause the fill valve to open every so often but still the added water in the bowl was a waste since water is not cheap these days. This Fluidmaster valve worked great, easy to set. I used the middle setting and every flush works fine.

Took about 60 seconds to setup and install on my Toto toilet. Before I ordered I just measured to make sure it was 2". Works great, haven't tried the adjustment for flush amount, but I'm just happy to not have to hold the handle down after 5 years of doing it.....

It makes a good solid seal, is flexible sized, and the adaptive water usage dial is a great feature. Tip: Instead of flushing over and over to find the best water saver setting (and thus WASTING a lot of water), simply leave the lid off for a day or two and each time you flush observe and adjust the dial till you have it the way you want.

Works perfectly for my 1.6 gallon toilet that was leaking with an old blue flapper when we bought the house. I had some issues with it not staying up upon a flush - it's important if this is happening to you, since this is a water saving flapper, to remove the small piece inside the bottom of the flapper. If you can remove that small piece, water will fill the flapper which allows it to stay up upon a flush. The dial will then also function as described! I wish that was described on the instructions...

I bought this for one of my toilets, and I have it sometime to see how the product worked. Freaking great! I use the bleach tablets, so the stoppers eventually go brittle and warp. Not this one, this has lasted more than 6 months with any warp or leaking involved. So I bought 4 more for the rest of the house and it is an easy swap. Instructions are on the back and they have a chain to connect with the valve puller. Great product

These last a long time and well worth the extra cost over a generic flapper. You can adjust the flush level to save water as well. I have used these since I have had my own places. A leaky flapper will cost you much much more in a month than the $6 cost of just replacing it. To the non-handy, it's a simple repair. You pop off the old one, snap this one on (there is only one way it can go) and just connect the chain to your flush handle. A less than 5 min repair.

Having next to zero experience with all things toilet, except, you know, using them... I was able to install this very easily. For some toilets, I noticed that it didn't flush correctly. I would pull the flush lever, and then it wouldn't go "up." I had to hold down the lever to make the water come out. Well, trial and error showed that I hadn't installed it correctly. If the chain is too long, or not long enough, you will have an improper flush. To fix this, take the chain off the clip and position it so there's enough room to both pull it up and pull it down completely when you pull the lever.

super easy to install and works great w/the fluid master 400 fluid valve replacement that I just put in both of my toilets. hissing and leaking toilets have been fixed! be sure to check which valve you need. your toilet will tell you on the front which one to get. mine is 1.6 so I got this one. the more modern ones will use this one but older ones may use a different so be sure to check. also, YouTube will provide any instruction videos for step by step instructions. this was really a $$ saver. a plumber would have been hundreds of dollars and I did this on my own for a fraction of the price and felt really good about myself afterwards.

One has to replace flappers once in a while, as the rubber they are made from is attacked by chlorine in the water. They go even faster when one uses tank tablets. The rubber eventually degrades to the point where it is greasy and leaves a stain on one's fingers. Time for a new one at that point! If one's toilet keeps running unless one jiggles the handle, it very often means the flapper isn't fitting properly. In that case, one need not replace the entire float valve, etc. I shopped Home Depot online for these as well. Their price for exactly the same thing was a bit more, and from Amazon, I didn't have to drive anywhere. People drive like maniacs in Colorado Springs, so I try to stay off the roads.
