• Loose or worn chassis parts can lead to premature tire wear
  • Exclusive cover plate protects against contaminants leaking into the bearing surface
  • Greaseable socket design allows new lubricant to flush contaminants from the assembly, reducing corrosion and wear
  • Patented cover plate design allows for tighter tolerances vs traditional designs for a more durable part
  • Powdered metal gusher bearing design enables grease to flow through bearing to stud for reduced friction and enhanced strength

MOOG parts needed for TJ / XJ upgrade: Tie Rod End - ES3096L Adjusting Sleeve - ES2079S Tie Rod - DS1312 (total less than $105 w/ free shipping to me in Alaska = SUPER UPGRADE!) These 3 items are Moog quality and the center link DS1312 is what the Jeep TJ should have come with in the first place. Getting this is a worthwhile investment when the stock tie-rod needs to be replaced. Gonna put this on a 10 year-old Wrangler TJ 4.0L that I got new in late 2003 off the showroom floor...remember to use a torque wrench for the right 'specs + synthetic grease for lubing the Moog parts for a long life because this will serve any Jeep do-it-yourself owner for many years to come. **Worth every cent!!!**

I recently purchased a 2004 Wrangler Unlimited, and with plans to lift and bigger tires, I figured making sure the steering was in good shape was important. My existing steering had 3 tie rod boots leaking, as well as one that looked like it was about to explode it was so ballooned out the side. I didn't want to chance anything, so I went ahead and got the following to do the upgraded/refreshed steering: MOOG parts needed for TJ / XJ tie rod upgrade: Tie Rod End - ES3096L Adjusting Sleeve - ES2079S Tie Rod - DS1312 I wanted to refresh everything, so I ordered the following parts in addtion: Drag Link DS1430 Tie Rod End - ES3096L Adjusting Sleeve - ES2079S Since I was replacing all of the parts, I removed the old stuff as one assembly, and after setting my new parts to the same length, chucked it in the metal bin at the dump. The new tie rod is much beefier than the original, as it's a solid piece as well as being thicker. Installed just like the originals, and then I did a quick measuring tape alignment to get it good enough to get to the shop for a real alignment. Steering is nice and tight now, and I know the extra beef will serve my larger tires even better.

This thing is thick, solid & way tougher than the TJ stock parts. Add in the coupler & rod end & it is done. Need: 1- MOOG Chassis Products ES3096L Tie Rod End, Regular 1- MOOG Chassis Products ES2079S Tie Rod End Adjusting Sleeve Jeep Grand Cherokee "ZJ" torque specs. same as factory "TJ" Coupler 36 ft-lb Balljoints 55 ft-lb Comes unpainted, de-grease, prime & paint to your choice of color.

After almost 17 years of service mine was ready to retire. I never felt comfortable with the stock version. It just looked so small and was based on a hollow tube. I had read there was a "stock" upgrade to the factory link. After a lot of research, it was clear that the part would work on a Cherokee but all the people providing this info were running raised Jeeps with large wheels. Mine is still factory. I was very concerned about the clearance between the tie rod ends and the wheels. I decided I would give it a shot. Installed the link, replaced the wheel, and I had room to spare! You will not notice a huge performance increase (other than you have replaced a worn part) in the steering but you will have a solid center link.

I put this on my tj as the stock one was bent badly. I could shake stock one back and forth with hand. This new one is very solid.Few months using it and couldn't be happier with it on my TJ Wrangler. Peace of mind when I'm wheeling. I upgraded to this after I bent my stock one (which is hollow and weak) and needed an alignment. I put this on as close as I could then got an alignment. Great choice for upgrade

Bought this for my Jeep TJ as a slight upgrade (yes it will indeed fit, with the matching diameter coupler and tie rod end). It is great quality and USA made. However, I realized that this tie rod will not crumple as easily as the stock TJ tie rod will. So, I didn't install it on the basis that i'd rather just replace my stock TJ tie rod (in the case that I run over something), than replacing multiple components on my front end due to having this stouter tie rod installed.

Replaced my old teraflex drag link and tie rod and some grease boots . Took a few hours probably longer than it should but it was at night and I need some light upgrade in my garage. It decreased some play I was getting when I hit bumps or uneven road doing high speeds.(probably due a quick tightening on the steering box to eliminate that soon.) But this with the new tie rod ends were easy.

Did some research and found that tie rod ends from a Grand Cherokee 5.7L bolts on my XJ without any clearance issues. I decided to give it a shot and sure enough, they fit great! definitely beefier than the regular hollow sleeve and two ends that is normally used.

Swapped out my stock part, along with the other odds and ends in the tie rod system, and it dramatically reduced (so far eliminated) my case of DW. One of the less expensive things to swap out to see if it addresses your specific DW.

Most definitely a good upgrade, from the wimpy, hollow XJ tie rod/drag link. Have zero complaints with the product. As a matter of fact... I upgraded my entire front steering and suspension with Moog & Spicer products and ordered virtually every item through Amazon. Zero issues with shipping. Every part that was listed, was most definitely included. Only thing I would recommend, is to have a rattle can ready, if you're not a fan of the standard finish. Plan on "upgrading" another XJ, while using these sane components. I would safely and 100% recommend!
