Moog or OE. We've tried store brands and MevoTech--they are not worth it--you end up redoing the work within months. On one vehicle, we replaced front-end parts (Mevo's) had an alignment, then three weeks later the left side failed--upgraded to Moog--had another alignment. Then another 4 weeks later (7 total) the right side failed. Paid for the upgrade to Moog and another alignment. YES, the parts houses will exchange parts, but they don't pay for labor nor alignments. 5 years later, I gave the car to my nephew. Moog parts going strong. Went through a similar experience with another vehicle with O'R's MasterPro.

These were shot and dry rotted on my XJ so I did the deed with new upper and lower control arms. You will definitely want to borrow a heavy duty ball joint removal tool from OReilly’s or whatever your local parts store is....... The one in my cast housing was a nightmare took 2 hours to remove........ just be patient and keep working it. We did my friend’s car and his came right out, so could be easy or very difficult, you just don’t know until you’re into it. These along with the upper and lower control arms killed my Death rattle. :)

Moog part easy install. Drilled out old rubber. Collapsed the metal shells, Cleaned and painted the mounting points on the drive axel. Made a spacer from PVC pipe so as not to collapse the one sheet metal bracket. Quick job. Like South Main Auto says ( If I can do it so can you ) Great utube videos.

This does NOT fit a 1997 ZJ Grand Cherokee. The inner diameter is nominally much larger than the standard bolt size but has these little dimples. It means that if you use the standard bolts it will rattle but you cannot buy the next size up to make up the gap. I know that there is a purpose for these but it’s not for a 1997 Grand Cherokee.

Installed these on my 92 XJ upper adjustable control arms. Perfect fit. Great product. Would recommend.

They do their job! A noticeable improvement for sure! Highly recommend!! Taking the old ones out and out and putting these in is definitely quite a job so prepare yourself.

If your doing a complete suspension bushing job on a XJ, this is a must. These press into the Frt. Diff. Upper Control Arm Mountings.

This is a good quality product, and works well on our 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo upper front control arm. Install is not easy since the old ones need to be pressed out and the new ones pressed in. But with the proper tools and patients it can be done.

Total pain in the keester to remove. Not as bad to install. Glad I did it but glad I won’t be doing it again any time soon.

1998 Cherokee XJ - Fits stock control arms perfectly. Noticeable difference in control & stability. Great brand!
