The Best - Works Great with BBC
I have a high performance 454 engine with a regular fan and brass radiator. I've been using the Stant 180 degree SuperStat with all of my Chevy engines. For the 454, we ran the engine at 3,000 RPMs for over 20 minutes for the initial engine break-in, and it did not get close to over-heating. I did drill two small 1/16" holes in the thermostat housing to allow the release of any air that might have been trapped in the system. Not sure if it's an old wive's tale to do this, but apparently it didn't hurt! Even with my rudimentary cooling system, my car has never over-heated.

Stant Thermostats - Only The Best Will Do
Installed this in my 2003 Ford Taurus SE back on 03/29/2015. Keeps the temperature relatively cool, and have I have experienced no temperature problems since its installation. These SuperStat Thermostats cost a little more but they do the job they were built to do without a hitch. Remember to ALWAYS use DISTILLED WATER in your automobile's radiator and reservoir, as it will keep ALL the rust and gunk out of your cooling system.

Awesome!
I chose this 180 degree over the oem 190. A ten degree difference shows a lot. My engine won't ever reach 200 or the half way mark 210.

This one, Passed the test ! Boil Water Test
This one, Passed the test ! Truck over heated took Thermostat out, got MIXed up with 4 other Thermostat's. Sooo,Pot of boiling water put them all in THIS one opened first. one threw in trash ,stuck, Hot Flordia (This F-150 L6 300 will run to cold & that is not good, cause engine wear.)

Reliable
Never had any issues with these in my small block 347 racecar. Works well and stays right at the 180 temp it's supposed to.

The Stant is made better -- that's obvious when comparing the old and new ...
Yep, five stars for a humble thermostat. With a special adapter, I use it in a classic sports car instead of the car's original $85 thermostat. A similarly priced auto store brand failed almost immediately. The Stant is made better -- that's obvious when comparing the old and new side by side -- so should last for many years.

Engine nice and cool now.
97 Dodge Ram 1500 with a 5.2 liter engine. Debated whether to use this 180 degree or a 160 degree. This 180 degree makes my truck run much cooler. Before it was running around 205 degrees with a 195 degree thermostat. I replaced my heater core, heater hoses, radiator hoses, water pump, thermostat housing and installed this 180 degree thermostat. Truck still puts out good heat and engine is running 25 degrees cooler. My engine seems to run more smoothly and has a little more pep.

Idle is good. Really no change from standard OEM thermo
East to install on my 2001 Jeep Cherokee. Runs way cooler than standard higher degree thermostat. I live in a hot climate, so does very well with AC on in hot weather. Idle is good. Really no change from standard OEM thermo.

Love it in my 03 Dakota. A lot cheaper than the OEM design and no issues for me.
Dropped this into my 2003 dodge Dakota without any issues. It's not the same as the OEM design but it seem to work just fine. I did drill a 1/16th hole to allow some coolant to weep through like the OEM design has and while it does not close the passage like the OEM does I have so far had zero issues. In fact my truck runs nice and cool and I live in Oklahoma and was able to make a trip out to Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Reno, across Nevada and Utah along Highway 50 to Denver and then back to the Oklahoma City area in June and July. It stayed nice and cool even in Phoenix's 120 degree heat one day while I was there. I have a 2003 Dodge Dakota with a 4.7l in it and also dropped the system pressure by 2 PSI from 18 to 16 which does lower the boiling point by a bit but everything has worked great. Truck runs great at 180 degrees.

Updated (2/4/19) Great quality, half the price of most places
I was expecting to lose alot of heat when i installed this by the truck running at 180° instead of the factory 195°thermostat but still have great heat, i ordered this about a year ago and finally put it in. Iv only had it in for about 5 weeks now (today is 9/29/18) but no issues and the seal that is on it went back together easily and smooth and seal is holding up. will try to update after winter, here in michigan winters are harsh on vehicles especially the way i drive will post then. Update--sold the truck and was still holding up great and had a shit ton of miles iv put on it and lasted great still no issues
