It's a stick with hoops
If you are looking for a stick with hoops or loops on the ends, this is a stick with hoops and loops on the ends. Installation was as easy as catching the far hoop on the hook, and the near one on its hook. Took me a total of two minutes to open the box, slide off the plastic bag, and make the connections. This is not rocket science (which I have a college degree in). I installed it last night and placed a few hangers with clothes on it, and thus far today, it has not fallen down. I highly recommend this product should you be need of a stick with hoop or loops on the ends. Admittedly, I'm confused what makes a hoop rather than a loop, but whichever it may be, it works. This could make an excellent St Valetine's Day present to a love one. A word of caution about giving a loved one a stick on such a day may result in in the hoops or loops being stuck in your head rather than on the end of the stick. Good news is that if they throw the stick at you, you'll have something to hand all the clothes of yours tossed into the front yard, and you won't have wasted a penny on this upcoming holiday. And as the rating indicates, the stick with hoops and loops on the ends remains wrinkle free. I do not recommend trying to perform chin-ups in the backseat using this stick with hoops and loops on the ends. the coat hangers may poke you in the eye. As Spock once said to Yoda, "To infinity and beyond. Na-nu, na-nu."

Quality product for a demanding user - Updated Oct 2014
Due to the other reviews which said the plastic ends broke after a short period of time I was glad that I had hooks in my car. I purchased this and went to install only to realize I didn't have hooks so I was forced to use the plastic hooks on the bar. I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous about it it breaking, because I was. I purchased it on July 7th and the day it arrived I installed it. I have about 15 pieces of clothing on the bar and have since the install. The plastic hooks haven't given way and my clothes are still hanging great. I went on vacation for a week, leaving my car parked in a driveway uncovered with external temps that had reached 90 degrees that week, internal temps certainly rose well above that. When I returned it was still in place with my clothes still hanging. I travel about 500 miles each week, returning to my home on the weekends and living out of hotels during the week. This bar has stood up to everything. The rubber sleeve on the bar keeps my clothes from sliding around even when I take a corner too sharp. I couldn't be happier after nearly a month of continual use. In case you are wondering I drive a 2013 Chevy Impala and it fits great! If this things gives way I'll update the review but for now it is going strong and for under 10 bucks I couldn't be more pleased. *** UPDATE OCT 2014 *** over 3 months ago I purchased this and day one it went into my 2013 Chevy Impala hanging from the plastic hooks (so many said the hooks are the weak link and break). I'm happy to report that the bar is STILL in my car (I have yet to take it down), still holding about 8 pairs of pants and 10 shirts. No signs that the plastic hooks are going to break, no issues at all. My experience has been VERY GOOD. I have no issues and frankly for the price I certainly recommend this product. Why pay more for something else when this has exceeded my expectations.

Good heavy duty product.
This is a heavy duty cloths bar. If you hang it from the plastic clothes hooks found in most cars I am confident that the plastic hooks would break long before the hefty metal loops on the bar would give way. Alternatively, the black hangers on the ends of the bar can be used to mount the bar on the passenger assist handles. These hangers are a very strong reinforced plastic, probably as strong as the assist handles in the car. The bar itself is heavy gauge steel. This bar is so much better than the aluminum clothes bar I previously had that I'm glad I forgot to take the old one out of the car when I traded it in. This one fits both our little C-Max Hybrid and our Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV. The one small deficiency is that the rubber grips cover only part of the bar when it is extended to fit, and we typically like to hang clothes on both sides leaving the center rear view unobstructed. However, a simple solution was to get a piece of black foam pipe insulation at the hardware store, cut it to length and slip it over the bare end. This keeps the clothes hangers from sliding just as well as the bar's own rubber grips.

4 3/4 Stars-get rid of the plastic=5 Stars
Good heavy bar as well as the metal hooks. I really don't understand the plastic hooks though. If the Manufactuer would have spent another $.50 cents more on metal end caps (the plastic hooks) this bar would probably have lasted a LifeTime. Some things just don't need to be made out of plastic. The Best to You And Your's !!! PawPaw C

You will not be disappointed!
This is one of the most useful purchases I've purchased within the last few years. I travel for 39 weeks out of the year and this bar ensures that my clothes stay wrinkle free and ready for use at any moment. I've managed to hang every article of clothing I own on this bar with no problems. Each end has a thick plastic hook that is sufficient for slipping onto your cars fold down handles. Each end also features a square metal hinge that can be placed over the hanger clips that are in the same places as the fold down handles for a little extra security against it falling and weight distribution. I have purchased 3 of these bars so far (1 for me and 2 as gifts) and they are all holding up perfectly with daily use. The only suggestion I have is that you definitely used both the metal hooks and the plastic hook when securing the bar if you are loading it down with heavy items or lots of clothes otherwise it is indeed possible to overload the plastic hooks. I haven't fully overloaded the plastic hook portion but I did notice I got close one day with some particularly heavy hanging items. I can see that if the plastic hooks bend out the bar will be far less useful than in its current state so be warned. This is a great purchase for any frequent traveler. I even take it in when I go to different places and use it between to chairs when a closet isn't available.

Works great
I have been using this in my car daily for the past 3 1/2 months traveling around the country. It’s extremely handy to have my clothes hanging up instead of getting all wrinkled in the suitcase. The only bad thing about it and this is just because of me is that it’s at a height that makes it difficult to see what type of vehicle is behind me. I think the issue is just because I’m so short & that a normal size person would not have this problem.

Sturdy, adjustable and convenient
This bar hooks on two different ways to accommodate different types of cars. We bought it for a quick move out from my son’s dorm where parents weren’t allowed in. Saved him having to pack his clothes and kept them on hangers to make it easy to just hang up when he got home. It’s very sturdy and adjustable width. I’m incredibly happy with this purchase and will be using it for move in and move out for years to come.

Very Handy
Very handy. I just leave it in position in my car unless I have back seat passengers. It is better than the bare pole that I had in college forty years ago. Unlike then, this model does not allow the clothes to slide back and forth when you take a corner. The rubber coating and dividers prevent that. Because of the configuration of my car's hanger hooks, I have one side hanging from the closed metal loop and the other side hanging from the plastic bracket-not my preferred way but so far I haven't had any trouble with falling from either side when there is weight on the bar.

Hook Hanging Travel Clothing Bar
This is a lifesaver and works great. I have to ride around during sport seasons to officiate sports. My uniforms are ready at anytime. Great for cars and trucks with hook hangers. (Initially, Amazon shipped this UPS, when I received it, it was broken on the exposed end because it was shipped ink properly in a wrong sized box. The box was damaged. It was replaced by Amazon without additional cost.)

Better than getting wardrobe boxes
Instead of getting a bunch of wardrobe boxes for moving, load clothes up onto this bar for moving. Note that it does get heavy! It helps to have someone help carry the bar from car to closet while still carrying all the clothes. Also, I had no issues with the plastic snapping as some reviews mentioned, but I have not left this sitting in my car in the heat of the sun. However, when using the metal hook, it did end up snapping my plastic clip on the overhead handle, which normally is used for dry cleaning.
