Worked well on a 1993-94 Aerostar once I got the right size
On my 1993-94 Aerostar there are two different types of Ford Quick Connects. The Quick Connects are listed as 5/8" (Dorman 800-403) and 3/4" (Dorman 800-404). This refers to the pipe coming out of the heater core or metal connector, not the the size of the rubber hose attaching to the Quick Connects.. My 93-94 Aerostar heater core uses Dorman 800-404. It worked well once I got the right size. The Dorman 800-403 seems to be used for the cross connections heading back to the rear heater. In order to help other people in identifying which ones they need I have included a picture showing the diameter of the two types laid out side by side.

Works Great to Adapt Aftermarket Hoses
When replacing a heater core in a 99 F150 I decided to replace the heater hoses because the quick connects are a nightmare to open up and I did not want to deal with them again. One of the heater hoses runs $75+ from Ford Motorcraft. An identical hose from Continental is $12. The trouble with the cheaper hose is that the quick connect is too large. I swapped this part with the one that came with the Continental hose and had it put back together fast. The connector is built as well as the OEM Ford part and fits the heater core lines perfectly.

Worked for 2005 Chevy Tahoe with transmission lines
Worked for 2005 Chevy Tahoe with transmission lines. I used this to connect a heater hose to the transmission lines T right before the firewall. There are multiple washers and rings inside, I did not use them all to get a snug fit. I bought both Doorman 47165 and 800-403 they are the same.

2004 GMC Yukon Denali exact fit
I had one heater hose connector brake off when installing the dreaded 8th spark plug on my 6.0 l motor. I found the connector end had disintegrated. This was exact fit for a bargain price of less than $10.

The factory ones were pretty brittle.
I needed to flush the heater core on my 1997 F150. Bought two of these and cut up an old garden hose. Stuck these on the ends of the cut garden hose, removed my existing connectors. Hooked these up and flushed out the core. When I was finished, I used the white inserts on my old connectors to freshen them up a bit. The factory ones were pretty brittle.

Fixed Leak!
This part, along with "ACDelco 18221L Professional Branched Radiator Hose" and a new hose clamp quickly solved my leaking Y joint on the coolant line. Careful when pushing this on the pipes coming from the firewall they are plastic. But you want to hear the click of the quick connect so you know it's attached.

Perfect replacement for my 98 Expedition XLT 4.6
Another winner from Dorman! I cut the old broken mess off the old heater hose and slid this right up in there and clamped it. I had to use a little petroleum jelly as lube to get it to clip on the quick connect and it worked like a charm. No leaks! Thanks Dorman!
