I find it amusing to see negative reviews because the kit didn't fit exactly right. What's important is the kit provides the components you need to make a manual choke and it takes a little ingenuity to make it work. To start with the universal bracket that comes with the kit wasn't even a close match to my car, and at that wasn't strong enough to do the job. I bought a 5 in. angle bracket and made my own stronger bracket. Next, the cap was a little to large around the outer edge so I ground it down slightly. Also the hole in the cap was too tight for the choke lever post so I enlarged it very slightly. After I had it installed it became obvious the the lever which attaches to the cable was too short, requiring too much pressure to operate. Unless you have a straight shot to the carburetor the cable will bind. In my case the choke housing was on the passenger side of the car so I had to make a couple of bends. I simply used the disgarded support bracket that came with the kit to extend the actuating lever attaching to the cable and everything worked smoothly. The important take away is without the kit the job would have been impossible. With the parts in the kit you can convert to a manual choke with a little work. Don't buy this if you are expecting the kit to work out of the box with no modifications.

These kits work on multiple applications, from motor vehicles to power equipment, to go karts. I have used them for all of these. The only limitation is your mechanical ability. Dorman makes great products. Amazon does great shipping.

Can't live without this choke cable on cold mornings.

Worked for me.

Used on carburetor of 66 C10. I didn't need anything but cable but it was cheap enough to warrant buying for extra attachments. I added graphite (sparkplug) grease/ before installing to keep it fr ok m binding.

Great Kit! Lots of hardware

This kid did exactly what I needed it to and had lots of hardware bits to help in installation. The cable and sheath were easy to cut.
