This part fit perfectly on my 99 gmc Sierra 5.3l. I purchased two of them to replace the broken off hoses at the heater core. They're the same piece for both sides. I know the originals were a different color, but that's irrelevant. Both side are interchangeable.

Worked great for replacing the off-white (yellowed) connector on my 2006 GMC Sierra 2500hd.

It says it doesn't fit my 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500HD LS, 6.0 Gas Engine. I bought 2 regardless from other comments on here, and they both fit the inner/outer heater hose quick connect line, coming out the fire wall. It might feel like it won't go on, but that's because the O-Ring seal is new. Put a light, light application of grease around the tube coming out the fire wall, and it slide right on, after struggling trying to put it on dry. I put this exact fitting on both my tubes, and NO leaks. I highly recommend this, cause you can get 2, for the price of 1 AC Delco quick connect.

OK, these can be a pain for sure. I ordered this dis-connector but it didn't work well. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KWJP5WV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I ended up using an OTC dis-connect tool that I already had. The disconnect tool has an angled handle and the round part is in two pieces. The reason this worked well for me - I could push one side of the tool into the back of the "quick disconnect". Once I got one side in good, I worked on the other side, and it was easy to push in. I even took the took back off and tried both sides at the same time, no dice. I strongly suggest using the plastic, angled disconnect tool. Now for the Dorman 800-409, fit perfect. I used the same part for both heater hoses. Yes, I replaced the tan connector with this black one. Once I got the old quick disconnects off, I cleaned the aluminum fitting on the heater core, and sparingly used some plumbers valve grease on the fitting, and the Doorman seals. Slid back on like butter - and no leaks! You'll need two of these and two small hose clamps. This is the hose I used for the side without the Y fitting. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000C2WEIC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I replaced this due to bad connector and leaking. Went on easy and works great now πŸ‘πŸ½. I got a damaged 1 my 1st order and Amazon sent me a replacement and it worked great. Great part and service πŸ‘πŸ½

This fit perfectly to replace the heat hose connectors on my 1999 Chevy Silverado 1500 LS 4x4. You will also need to purchase the Lisle 39400 Angled Disconnect Tool Set (use the plastic green sleeve) and the heater hose quick disconnect puller (long metal bar with 5/8" u-type end) to pull the old heater hose connector off. It was frozen on. You'll really need to pull hard/jerk hard on the old connector until it pops off. Then, this new heater hose connector slips back on very easily.

It's what you need when you replace one of the heater hoses on a 06 Chevy Silverado. I also pictured the other Dorman adapter (800 404) you will need to replace the other heater core hose as well. These are known to break. I carry an extra of each in the glove compartment. I hope this was helpful.

I purchased this to replace my old one when I replaced the heater core on my 2003 Chevy Silverado LS 1500. this connector is durable even though it's not OEM it works fine.

These went on like no problem just have to push kinda hard or they WILL pop off lol make sure they click if they dont click they arent ask me how I know lol

Works great! Need to get the tool to take off the old one but this is so cheap and so easy to install! Stop looking right here and buy this one if it’s what you’re looking for!
