Stop looking and buy this already! 6-Stars
Update: I have had this tool for a couple of months now and it has become one of the most useful tools. My peers at work constantly ask me about it or want to use it. It has met every expectation and continues to work like the first day I got it. I would buy it again in a heart beat, but I doubt I will need to anytime soon. Incredible tool. Blades are very sharp. Unlike many other similar products, this has the perfect number of tools. Excellent quality and feels great in hand. The suspension butterfly opening makes the pliers feel better than the actual pliers in my garage. Another surprise I enjoyed is the locking mechanism on the accessories. When you flip something out it locks into place to give it better rigidity. With a simple flick of the thumb the tool retracts. It is light weight and the belt holster works perfect. I also has by far the best scissor of any multi-tool product out there. Take that Swiss Army Knife! I think I am going to order another one because I am pretty darn sure someone will steal this from me.

LOVE IT! Though it needs a better carrying pouch.
Such a great tool! The knives are sharp and the pliers are strong. I love the spring-loaded pliers. I been using a Gerber Mini-Suspension for a while now and just felt it was time for an upgrade. After looking at MANY multi-tools, from MANY brands, I kept coming back to Gerber. Being happy with my mini-suspension, I knew Gerber wouldn't dissapoint. I'm very happy with my purchase. The one thing I will likely have to do is upgrade the pouch. It's already showing some stretching in the belt loop and some of the stitching has come undone on the edge. I didn't ding the rating, because I care more about the tool. The pouch is serviceable, but not fantastic.

ONE OF MY BEST PURCHASES
This tool has it all. I've had it for over 3 years now, and the amount of times it's come in handy has been incredible. Not only the tool parts, but the pliers as well, which is what sets these apart from other multi-tools. This might be a bit larger than the other ones, but the pliers have been very handy fixing my bicycle, motorcycle part, and countless other things. not to mention the saw, scissors, and other screwdrivers. On top of that, the tool has a fantastic locking mechanism for all of the tools which prevents them from slipping shut and injuring you, and I've used it with complete confidence with no fears of hurting myself or anyone else. Absolutely fantastic purchase and worth buying for anyone, around the house, car or on the go with you.

but the reviews were so good I thought I'd give it a try
I work as a zookeeper so multi-tools are a staple for us on the job. My previous one had broken and after doing lots of research, I decided to purchase this particular tool. I was skeptical of it's quality based on the low price, but the reviews were so good I thought I'd give it a try. After one month, this multi-tool is awesome! Solid construction and all the knives are very sharp. I'm still getting used to the locking mechanism but boy does it make a difference when previously I had to fight with my old tool to not cut myself or take extra time fidgeting to get something screwed in. I'm not sure if the pouch will hold up for terribly long as I have some fraying of fabric happening, but I also scrape it a lot on cement walls at work so I can understand. Many zookeepers invest in Leatherman's which are amazing tools, but I can't bring myself to spend that much on a multi-tool and this has been an incredible tool so far so I would highly recommend!

Awesome!
I bought this as a gift for my husband, and he really likes it! He wears it in its little holster thing on his belt every day. It's come in very handy when he needs a quick snip with a pair of scissors and there isn't a pair nearby, or if he needs to file down a rough fingernail, or any number of other little uses. It has many useful little tools in it, and it's easy for him to loop the holster to his belt so he has it with him every day. It's a heavy little thing, but if it were too lightweight, the quality wouldn't be there. So far, we have no complaints about this tool. A great purchase! Update: The tool is still fine, but the case is pretty terrible. I'm looking into finding a replacement. The Velcro closure has pretty much failed entirely, and the tool falls out of it constantly, driving my husband nuts. He still wears it, though, because the tool comes in really handy. I wish the closure was either a significantly larger and heftier piece of Velcro, or a simple snap. Otherwise, the case is in perfect condition. The flap just doesn't stay closed.

Excellent product and better price
I had been looking at multitools for a while, and it came down to this one and the Leatherman Sidekick. I ended up buying this one and getting the Sidekick as a gift, but there is no comparison, the Suspension is way, way better. Although they're not really in a comparable category size-wise, I'd take the suspension over the sidekick any day. The suspension has great fit and finish, a great variety of tools, and a very agreeable price tag (about $23 at the time of purchase). Given the reputation of Leatherman's quality and the Gerber's perceived lack thereof, I assumed this was going to be subpar, but it seems far superior to the Sidekick, which seems a little flimsy. Pros: -price -variety of tools -fit and finish -feel in hand Cons: -bulky when folded up Additionally, I can't really comment on the durability since I haven't put either of them through their paces.

....and pretty good baby food too
Not exactly compact in your hand when it's folded. The unit is quite bulky in the closed position. This could present present a problem when working within confined spaces. Go ahead, try opening one of the cutting blades, and use it as you would with any knife. Can you pinch grip the blade? For me, it felt comfortable. But the heft and balance is not for everyone. When in the open position, the pliers feel good. The sheath is MOLLE compatible. There is a lot of discussion in regards to price point and sourcing. Price is what you can find and/or negotiate. Maybe you can find a dusty one in a family hardware store, and convince the proprietor to let you have it for less since it has sat on his shelf for so long that it has collected dust. Or you can find a good price online. I paid $17 here on Amazon.com, in Aug 2016. Is that good or bad? My box indicated Made In China. But that did not deter me, or cause me to send it back. My box also indicated that there was a warranty. Frankly, I can recall the original Leatherman PST being worth roughly a day's wages in 1980's dollars. So this tool is a bargain. I've broken many tools, but never a Leatherman or Gerber. The weakest multi-plier I've used is the $4 Wally World special. And even that is worth the money, because I've gotten $4 worth of use out of it before it broke. If you break it, send it back. But you're more likely to lose it.

My Favorite Multi-Tool
I have a lot of multi-tools of various brands but the two I always carry are Gerbers (Suspension and Dime). I actually have two of these now because the one I bought here was a replacement for a 9 year old one that I had misplaced. Side by side you can barely tell which one has taken years of abuse. I have a Leatherman that cost 3x what the Suspension does and another that was about 4x as much and I don't find the tools on those to be as useful as the selection on the Suspension and they aren't as comfortable in the hand. It has been my experience that any other brands tool in this price range or less will break under moderate to heavy use, specifically the pliers. I love the tool so much I can't even take off a star for their crappy sheath. The belt loops will tear out petty quickly. Leather pouches cost 5 bucks and are well worth the investment.

High quality; tools pull out easily
Great multitool. The tools are easy to retrieve and stow, blades seem sharp, and the lock feature is a nice plus. It feels substantial without being overly heavy. I looked at three other multitools in this general pricepoint (high teens up to $35), and this was the best one. The main issue with the others was that the tools were challenging to pull out of the handle, to the point where I was concerned that I would cut myself or tear a fingernail (my fingernails are short and very strong). The other multitools seemed to have too much friction / tight pivot, whereas the tools in this one (Gerber Suspension Multi-Plier) pulled out smoothly with a minimal amount of force. I was looking for a multitool with pliers, wire cutters, scissors, straight blade, saw blade, can opener, and slotted/Philips screwdrivers. The scissors in this are a little short, but they work -- and I can get them in and out safely. :-) It's also nice that the non-plier tools are accessible when the multitool is closed.

Great Value with a few minor flaws
For the price, this is a really great deal. Two things to be warned of. 1.) The pliers are great for needle nose pliers pinching straight on. However they are quite weak when used to pry sideways. Was underneath a car trying to separate the transmission linkage and I broke off one of the ends of the pliers' pinchers. Excessive force wasn't used. I was surprised when it broke. 2.) The other weak link on this otherwise awesome item is the pouch. The nylon/canvas materials is weak, but the worse part about it is the velcro clasp material, it wears out in a few weeks and does not keep the pliers in your pouch if you end up laying on the ground or inverted at all. I thought perhaps one of my old leatherman leather pouches would work on this tool, but the butterfly grip is too wide. Still for $22 I can't bring myself to take away a star. Better velcro and better pouch would make this product significantly better. Knowing not to pry sideways with the pliers, I would otherwise expect this tool to last quite a while. The second pair I bought to replace the ones with the broken pliers, well they are laying on some roadside somewhere, as I was under a car and the velcro failed, leaving them on the ground when I got up.
