Jeep Wrangler TJ - this is it
This is the PERFECT replacement speaker for your Jeep Wrangler TJ console. Great, great, great, great, great sound for very little cost - might be the best value in speakers and I'm not exaggerating. If you're using the stock console / plastic you need to clip off the tabs with needle-nose pliers but this took all of 25 seconds. Also, need to tie together the four wires (2x positive, 2x negative) from the tiny amp into the two connections in this speaker - just patch + with + and - with - and you'll be good to go and in phase. Cannot recommend enough. You won't get that boombox feel from this - that's not the point do something else if you want to rattle windows on your block - but you will get satisfying, deep tones to compliment your other speakers esp. on the bar above. If looking for a soundbar (above) compliment I went with Polk Audio DB651 - discontinued but fantastic value. Needed some modifying (drill into the metal) but not very difficult to install and just like this bad boy you get a lot of bang for the buck. Good luck! CFO

BUMP TO THE MAX
I originally bought them because they are an old school brand and because they are woofers. I installed them on Christmas in my car to give it my busted back door speakers a boost and I was blown away when I put them in. My car bumps so hard. I have more head turns than before. I inverted them a few days later and they bumped harder. I love them, and for a month use going hard they sound like they did when I took them out of the box. They are great for a cheap fix to stock speak no matter what kind of music you listen to. This is coming for a person whom listens to different types of music. By the way I do not have an amp hooked up to them! Update(09/06/2015): I recently bought four more from sonic electronix instead of here. Mainly for faster shipping. After installed them with my new head unit and wiring, my car is so loud, these things let off so much bass. The sound quility is so rich for mid woofers. I did a bass test and my neighbor can hear it in their house and got really mad me. You want bass for cheap, Thai is for you!

Awesome quality for the price
The speakers are absolutely wonderful I am using them as door speakers in my 2002 Avalanche for the rear door speakers I had to do some customizing but they worked awesome. The only thing I did not like was that I thought they came in a pair but it's one speaker so if you are planning on doing two doors you must buy two so I ended up having to buy two more. The quality of the bass is top notch

A little modification but in my opinion better than Jeeps stock Subwoofer
I was in need a e replacement stock subwoofer for my 03 jeep rubicon, I was about to pull the trigger on an OEM replacment that was close to $100 shipped. I purchased this for around $20 shipped and this is the best $20 I have ever spent. You will have to modify your stock encloser by trimming out the plastic fins and retap new holes but my radio is back in bussiness. If you want a stock replacement this is your ticket - If you want big bass you probably need to look elseware.

This subwoofer works great in my 2004 Jeep TJ to replace original blown woofer. Had to cut some plastic from inside the center console due to depth of new woofer. Fairly easy to do with a dremel, etc. Cut outer metal "ring" from old woofer and screwed it to new woofer (fits perfectly). Then used screws and holes in old "ring" to mount to inside of the center console in original screw locations. Cheap, easy solution and works great!

Okay this wont last at max volume for years of abuse but for a TJ wrangler center console replacement that has basically the same output as the factory sub for $300 less.. buy two if you abuse them then you can just swap it out once you kill it... for the price you cannot beat it.

Crisp lows and plenty of power at a super low cost
I purchased this sub woofer to replace the factory sub woofer that came with my 2004 Jeep Wrangler. I have had two other cars before this with premium sound systems and this holds up quite well in comparison. In our Kia we have the infinity sound system and in an old Silverado I had dual 12" sub woofers with a 900W amp to power them. When I first purchased this sub about a month or two ago I had planned to use a smaller mono sub amp but unfortunately when it arrived it was DOA. I ended up returning it and have been unable to see the performance of this sub with my head unit, polk 6.5 and 5.25 speaker setup. So last week when I had saved up enough money to purchase a JL 250W mono amp I was ecstatic to finally get some nice low frequency sound out of my setup. I quickly installed the amp and played around for a couple of minutes to try and dial in the sensitivity, HPF and LPF settings, and to find the right bass level for the kind of music I listen to. Once the sub started firing and I got everything the way I liked it I was really surprised at how clear the whole system sounded and how well it worked together. This is not a sub that will shake the mirrors of your car nor will it annoy your friends and neighbors as you drive down the street but it sounds great in my small little TJ. It fit great and without modification in the factory console sub box and I have not had any issues with sound clipping or excessive vibration from sound. The best part is that I purchased it when it was about 15 or 16$ shipped. Replacement subs from MOPAR or Quadratech are many times more expensive than this and would certainly be prone to blow again like the original did. If I had the space I would certainly look into getting another one of these to have two because they sound so great and are really easy on the wallet. If I have any issues with them over the next couple of months I'll certain write back about my experience.

Great sub replacement for my Jeep.
I bought this to replace the console sub in my 2006 Jeep TJ. This was a good value and a direct fit with easy installation.
