This is solidly constructed, not cheap junk like a lot of the other easels sold on Amazon and at kid's stores (Melissa & Doug, I'm looking at you ...). My 3 year old daughter LOVES it. She writes in chalk on the board, practicing letters and numbers, or just drawing. She wants to paint so much, we may have to buy a paper company to keep up. Despite multiple requests/threats to the contrary, she has climbed it multiple times. She's like 35 lbs or so and its remained stable. 3 year olds climb stuff and don't listen that well, so in my opinion its worth buying something strong. Putting it together was a PIA though, I'll admit. Not rocket science - anyone can do it - but a PIA.

I had my five year grandson help me put this easel together which was great...and easy taking us about 10 minutes. His three year old sister watched and couldn't wait to use the chalk board. My daughter said the kids were up the next morning at 7am and down stairs working on the easel. A big hit. It is also very sturdy. Would highly recommend grand parents invest in this easel along with the Melissa & Doug Easel Accessory Kit and the Alex My Drop Cloth. The three will give grandkids hours of activity.

Sturdy. Easy to move around. Easy to clean. All around a really good product for the money. But I wish it had clips on the opposite side so that more than one kiddo can paint at the same time easily.

We love it! My husband and I bought this for our granddaughters. The wood is nice quality and we love the paper roll set up - it feeds through a slot opening behind the supply tray and holds the paper in place - a very clean efficient design, and the bottom storage shelf is a plus! We didn't want to use the paint containers because we have carpet in the den, so we removed the lids and put colored pencils and washable markers in them instead, which works out great. We would definitely order this product again and highly recommend it!

I did a lot of research and settled on this! Glad I did. Very sturdy, easy to install and looks great. My children love it

This easel is not only sturdy but actually looks nice in our home. I love the fact that the height can easily be adjusted as my kids grow. The wood easily wipes clean. The white board is great--no complaints. The chalk board works better after following the directions to prepare it. Wipe chalk all over the board, wipe off, repeat until you get the results you want. We don't use the chalkboard as much--in fact, I could have done without that. I HIGHLY recommend this easel over any of those that look like a kids toy. You will use this much longer and not mind having this in your daily living space.

I was a little scared to buy this because of the cost and some of the negative reviews. But I am really glad I did. It was very easy to put together and is very sturdy. I have two toddlers and I really wanted something that could hold the weight of them both pushing on it. It has holes in it so you can adjust the height. The lowest is perfect for my kids. The side storage do fold up, so I am a little concerned for little fingers but for now they don't know it moves. The blackboard works fine. I did coat the whole thing with chalk first.

We purchased this easel for our 3 y.o. daughter for Christmas. She loves to water paint on the paper and use the dry erase board. It's a great tool for teaching your children their letters and how to draw. She uses it about every day. It's winter and it gives her something to do while we're stuck inside due to the cold and snow. It was easy to assemble...however, the plastic washers for the screws were scattered throughout the box and were hard to find because they weren't secured well. There were also scrapes on the wood, however the packaging states that the easel is hand made and that there may be natural defects. One surprise was that there is actually a try at the bottom of the easel between the legs that holds it open and can be used for storage...it isn't shown in the picture. I would recommend this easel to anyone who was interested in purchasing one.

I purchased this easel 4 years ago for my daughter and she is still using it today. the fact that the height can be adjusted to match the kids as they get taller is brilliant. The wood frame and tray are holding up well and still look very nice, despite years of "abuse". If you are thinking about buying this item, do not think twice, it is well built and will last your child a very long time.

I was looking for an easel that would be higher quality and sturdy, and am very happy with this purchase. I bought it for my six year old granddaughter and it keeps her busy for hours. It is nice that it is so versatile, with a chalkboard, whiteboard plus a paper roll to draw on.
