There is much to like about this organic pineapple. My major bone of contention is that ALL commercial (and store-branded) brands use citric acid as a preservative. Being allergic to citrus (I break out in red, itchy blotches, mostly on my face), I have to be very careful what I ingest, and to that end have become an avid label reader. My girlfriend, who's also into as much organic as possible, pointed me in the direction of this brand. I contend that people who complain about this product are not used to eating raw pineapple. They are used to whatever the "big name" label gives them. Perhaps the company cuts the fruit just a hair closer to the rind than the other "big name" company does, but there is NOTHING WRONG WITH NATIVE FOREST PINEAPPLE. It is tasty, sweet and tart, and the juice is UNFILTERED (perhaps that's why people grouse about the juice being "gritty"). I enjoy the juice as well as the fruit, and find no grittiness to it. I have never had dented cans, either. In conclusion, I would recommend this product to anyone, wholeheartedly. I enjoy several cans of it each week.

We like this product. I read the reviews before buying so I was prepared for what I'd see after opening the first can :-) This is pineapple "mush". It does not contain chunks, so if you want to eat it as a dessert etc., this is not the right product for you. Instead, get the chunks or slices from the same company, they're extremely yummy. These cans contain CRUSHED pineapple, so this product works great for baking or in smoothies. I have to say, that I still sometimes prefer the chunks for smoothies because there's more liquid. For the perfect smoothie, I like to use one can of these PLUS one can of the chunks or slices.....best of both worlds :-D All in all, this company makes great products. I appreciate them being organic and without any artificial stuff. We've been buing their products for years and will continue to do so. Just make sure you order the right variety for the project you're planning :-)

Recently found a can of this in my cupboard which had expired two years ago. Ate it anyway. Loved it. Couldn't find it in local stores so ordered a case online. Tastes even better than the expired can. Pineapple is rich in life-giving enzymes, very beneficial to health. Too lazy to buy a whole pineapple and whack it into pieces with hammer and knife, these canned chunks work for me. So far I just throw away the juice which is way too sweet for me anyway.

I buy the Native Forest peaches, pears, and pineapple slices. I think they're all delicious. The pineapple slices might be my favorite, I throw the can in the refrigerator the night before I eat them, makes them taste even better. BPA issue -- Random Native Forest reviews here on amazon had concerns about BPA in the cans so I emailed Edward and Son's (company that makes Native Forest brand) about the cans to find out the truth. The pineapples, pears, and peaches were on the list of BPA free cans that they emailed me back. The asparagus and baby corn that I bought were not, so i stopped buying them. As I did with my review of the peaches, I'll post the list of BPA free cans that I was given in the email in the comments. For those of you who don't care about the BPA issue, you should just know these are delicious.

Great tasting pineapples! I received all chunks. I would order again. I made a nice fruit salad with the pineapples. See below if you care to try: Let this marinate over night: Gogji Berries (the berries will be plump by morning) Organic pineapple chunks Once you serve the next day or in a few hours add the following: Sliced bananas Mango Greek yogurt (1/2 c) 1/2 tsp of Chia seeds Top with Unsalted Walnuts Enjoy. I absolutely enjoy this quick fruit salad. Keep in mind that you don't have to let your berries and pineapples sit if you don't want. You can enjoy the fruit salad with more crunch to add to the walnuts. :) Either way, it's quite tasty.

Absolutely love this product. It is naturally sweet, and has a great flavor. My husband loves Pineapple Cream Cheese/Whipped Cream Pies. With Organic Graham Crackers, Organic Butter, Organic Sugar, Organic Heavy Whipping Cream, I can make him these pies a couple of times a week, and not feel quilty.

sweet, crunchy, organic, yummy. I invented a quick high protein sweet dessert with these chunks: put half a can of chunks (very little juice) in blender with a big piece of super firm tofu. Result: “pineapple cloud” pudding.

This is the only pineapple I can find without citric acid. Great flavor. I like to grill mine and it grills nicely. I use the juice in a marinade so I don’t waste a bit.

These are my go-to canned fruits, but I can beat thevAmazon “wholesale” price at the local stores.,
