The ONLY way to go (pun intended:)
I have had several cats, over the years, and always hated (and as a result neglected) cleaning the litterbox. Until NOW! Sure, there are any number of less expensive ways to collect and discard cat waste. Could not be simpler to switch out the trays. It took about 3 weeks for my well-fed-year-old male cat to "use" up one tray. The crystals had started to look yellow and the collection box was full to the point that small particles weren't fully cleared. However, there was no odor even when I removed the tray for replacement. I used "Yesterdays News" litter made from recycled newspaper previously and like it because there was no dust or odor. The crystals seem to be an improvement. UPDATE: After using this for 3 months I have become a bit more conscientious about cleaning "weekly" and as a result the crystals last longer. I also purchased the bags of crystals, which are less expensive than the complete replacement trays. I saved one of the original trays and have reused it three or four time without any negative effects. I don't know about my cat but I know I am spoiled and would have a difficult time going back to an open littler box and scooping daily. Six Stars!

will keep buying
I've been using these going on 3 years now. I have one cat, and we're both happy with this stuff. I actually don't use the whole bag in one shot - I split it up into two uses, and change out the crystals about once a week. Then I will supplement with crystals from the bag that I buy separately, and make a single tray last about a month. No issues so far with this method. No real dust issues with the crystals, maybe once in a while if I pour it out too fast it will cloud up, but that's my fault. Every so often the cat will sneeze from the dust, but we're talking maybe once a month. Not the prettiest thing in the world but it does the job to contain odors, and finding little blue or white crystals on your floor to me is better than gritty litter sand.

If you need to make your life a little easier- get these!!!!
I use to use the Forever Tray but got tied of scraping urine soaked crystal dust from it and having to soak and scrub the tray with vinegar to remove urine build up every time I changed the litter. As a mom of an disabled adult son, I am constantly cleaning and sterilizing and I needed to make part of my chores a little easier in my life :) so I decided to splurge on these, and I'm so glad I did!!! They seal with the litter box well and best of all no leaks or scraping anymore! Also nice is the "used" tray fits nicely in a 13 gal trash bag which contains all the mess and makes it easy to transport it to the garbage can outside. If you need to make your life a little easier- get these!!!!

The BEST!!!
This litter box the ultra 2000 with its trays are absolutely awesome! All of the YEARS I've had cats and lived in tiny places- this would have been so wonderful. Not ONE smell and we have two cats a boy and girl- once it had 62 uses and not one smell!!! They love it- they can go outside too and they never look stressed or unhappy like they did with a regular box. You get to FORGET its there at all!!!! This is so so so nice, I'm so thankful! Thank You!!!

Must have for scoopfree litter boxes
We have the scoopfree litter box (2 of them) and replace the trays about once every 45 days. Our cat had a urinary infection at one point and was put on a special urinary food as well as my wife wanted to make sure it didn't go without peeing, etc (she works in veterinary). We bought an automatic flow type stainless steel watering pan as well as buying 2 of the scoopfree litter boxes (one upstairs, one down). Our cat hasn't had an issue since then. There is no cat urine/poo smell in the house, even if you forget the refills and go a few extra days..

It's True These Trays Are Odor Free! Worth the Cost!
LOVE this product!!! These refills are expensive, roughly $15 a pop. With that said, we have two cats and just moved from a large home into a townhouse and I love this product. With our home, we were able to keep the litter box in our garage since we installed a kitty door but that's not possible in the townhouse. We've been using these litter tray refills for 5 weeks. We set up the ScoopFree litter box with a separately purchased scrap rug to collect any loose blue litter crystals from the litter tray. The refill trays themselves are no brainers to set up - simply lift the cat box housing (it's clean...), take the lid included with the new refill tray and use it to cover the old tray (absolutely no smell!) and then put the new tray in the same spot as the old tray and lower the housing in place. (I use heavy duty tape to tape the lid onto the old tray so that when I throw it into the garbage dumpster the litter doesn't spill all over.) One of these trays last us about 8 days (with 2 cats). They can use the box 35 times (counter on litter box) before we notice ANY odor at all. I hate litter boxes and this is a great product!!! By the way, I purchased my ScoopFree Litter Box for $200.00 at my local, large chain pet store then found it online at Amazon for under $100.00.

Wonderful invention.
This was the best investment I've made for my cats! I keep it in a little used bathroom and change the tray once a week. I have 3 cats and a child who rarely visits! It is worth the money to me!!! After months they still scratch to cover their business sometimes. But it's not an issue. Works great but now I need to get it set up to send me a 3 pack every 3 months automatically. They were hesitant at first so I kept their box there beside it for a couple of weeks. One day the old box was just gone and some (dirty) sand was in this new box. No accidents. No problems. They transitioned fine. My only problem is the sharp edges on the blue crystals. Need to wear slippers!

Great price and Some tips to extend the life of your litter
The trays are wonderful. They are great because when used with the Scoop free litter box, all you have to do is exchange one tray for the other. Important tip: it is hard to see whether the blue litter is still fresh. You will need to get in there with a litter scooper and check through the granules. If they are yellow or white, then they are used up. I find that my trays are not lasting the length of time promised by ScoopFree. You can help extend the life of the trays by buying a bag of blue crystals and exchanging a few scoopfuls of old litter for new litter. Also, your box should never smell. If it does, it needs to be changed. Also, if the cardboard is getting soggy you need to mix the litter with a scooper by hand every day or other day to evenly distribute the crystals. I have three cats and have fostered many more. I currently have three machines and have had about six, so I feel that I can give you these tips with some degree of confidence. Buy the trays from the person who sells it for the best price but DONT buy the white crystals. They are useless. This seller offered a good price and delivery came PRIME so until they raise their price I will go with them. Beats every other system hands down.

This thing is great! I don't have to see the litter
I bought the ScoopFree litter box over a year ago. I got tired of fighting my son to clean the litter box (please mom, can I have a cat? I promise I'll keep the litter box clean! I PROMISE!) Well, I'm too attached to those fuzzballs, but I refuse to clean a litter box. This thing is great! I don't have to see the litter. I don't smell it and every weekend (haha! he's 16!), we change out the refill and all is happy in our home. Our cats have acclimated well to it and the dog stays out of this one! Win, win, win, win!

It Really Works!
First, let me say that the automatic, self-cleaning cat litter box is an absolute godsend. The cat box litter tray refills work perfectly. They come in packages of three - each one lasts for FOUR WEEKS with nary an odor. Not any. Ever. At the end of four weeks, the tray slides easily into a trash bag for disposal and the new one slides right in. No mess no fuss. At first glance the refills might appear to be expensive - but three months of just about any regular kitty litter costs about the same - and the regular kitty litter isn't delivered right to your door like clockwork (cheaper with the subscription, BTW) without having to even give it a thought. I've been in a lot of homes where cats live and have noticed that no matter how clean the owner is and how often the litter is cleaned/changed there is usually an odor, sometimes faint and others not so much. With this system there is absolutely no odor. Highly recommend this litter!
