hello, over the years, we have replace many sprinklers in our yard. the problem with pop up sprinklers is that when the plants grow taller, the flow of water gets blocked and the pop up just does not do it any more. but not only does the pop up sprinkler get blocked, sometimes, the pop up mechanism get worn and now you have a garden fountain coming out of the old pop up. this version is so much better for fast growing plants in yards. the standard height is good for a couple of foot tall bushes/plants, but when it is necessary to go beyond for faster/taller plants, you can adjust the grip ring and now, you have another 12-14 inches of height for better spray. these were made in recent times, but if they had been around 10 years ago, we would have installed them in our yard. they are very handy and fully adjustable from 1/4 to a full 360 degree head pattern. if you do not like the full 360 adjustable head, it can be easily replaced by a standard 1/2, 1/4, 3/4 pattern head. an excellent product and fast delivery.

I bought these to replace a few pop-up sprinkers in locations where the vegetation has grown up enough that the spray from the pop-ups no longer reached very far. The taller height, which is adjustable, helps to greatly increase coverage area of the spray. Of course, now there is a sprinkler riser in plain view all the time, but the green color blends in nicely and the plants farther away from the riser are happy again. Be aware that if you are installing these in place of existing standard pop-up risers, you may need to also purchase a 1/2" threaded female-to-female adapter to connect if you have an existing threaded male connector to your main irrigation line. This Orbit riser has a 1/2" male threaded connector on it.

Great item, I noted one person complain about connection leakage. If you install this item in stages first tighten the base, then set the head to closed. Then orient the closed head where you want it , adjust the riser height and tighten the mid portion. Then tighten the head and open it to the desired range. this will stop any leakage. Then with the sprinkler on use pliers and a small screw driver adjust the flow. I found these to be high quality , easy to install, and I can easily elevate them as the shrubs grow.

I bought these to replace standard sprinkler heads that were not reaching parts of my yard due to bushes and plants. I was getting brown spots on my lawn and several bushes didn't appear to be thriving. These sprinkler head not only got the water to the bushes but also added additional water for my lawn. The lawn that I thought I would have to tear up and replace is now lush and green with no brown spots. I would highly recommend these sprinkler heads. Easy to install and adjust.

I like this device. We changed our landscaping to include 24 inch high flowers that obstructed the sprinkler heads. We needed a head to reach at least 15 feet at a 145 degree angle. Not only is our lawn evenly watered as originally intended but the raised flower bed and two pomegranate plants as well. Keep in mind that the 30 inches starts at the bottom connection. For us that connection was 5 inches under ground leaving us with a 25 inch riser instead of the full 30 inches.

Work excellent in my flower beds to reach over the shrubs. Easy to work with, no leaks.

Easy to install with a .99 cent adapter from Home Depot. Shoots water over some plants onto some other plants to appease my girlfriend. Works great.

Very nice for tall bushes and to spread the water over a larger area. I suggest using the plumbers tape and you will need to order the adapter to use with your sprinkler system. Very nice outcome.

Fits perfectly and works great. It came fast and worked just as it should!

I love that it's adjustable, works great on short and tall bushes.
