Bought for my daughter to have a basic sewing kit.

I sew and do all kinds of crafts so my kids are always coming to me to "borrow" stuff, trouble is a lot of the time it's never returned so this year I bought her a kit so that she'd have everything she needed for small repairs and it stays together in the plastic "case" it came in! I was informed it was a great gift and that it has been used more than once! This would be great for a house warming gift, a kid going off to college (girl or boy), or for a spare to keep at work since it has all the essentials in it!!

Great beginner equipment for sewing

Love it as its pink,ie.pink tape measure, pink thimble, etc. My granddaughter will love it. This is a present for her birthday!

Excellent for starting out!

This is an excellent kit for beginners or to have a second set of tools on another floor of the house. I need the seam ripper and soft measure quite often so this saves walking stairs for me!

Good quality for a sewing kit

This is a basic sewing kit and made by Singer. To put together ones' own would be more expensive but this will do for what it is. I bought it for my daughter who just needs a few things for her family of 5 once in awhile. (However, I am a seamstress and I am determined to get her interested in making things cuz it's so REWARDING!)

good for deciding how useful & often u'll use these tools

I finally found the all purpose pattern I wanted, hv a small, basic sewing machine and know I wont b making all my clothes, etc. So this is perfect. It provides tools that r definitely lightweight, but will go the distance for as little as i'll use them. Im quite pleased with the cost effectiveness (sorry- this means they'll bump up the $8.50 price) and a great starter set to get someone thru sewing a few items and seeing how they like it.

Cute kit for beginning sewer

This is a nice little kit for the beginner, especially for younger ones. I got this for my 8 year old daughter. Her older sister loves to sew but the younger one wanted something of her own to start her own sewing kit. This was the perfect start. It has a wide color range of thread, pin cushion and pis, needles, threader, scissors, and more. If you combine it with other items so you ge the free shipping, the prices is very nice also. I paired it with a fairy themed box like a little tackle box and my daughter just went crazy over it. Not a lot else to say about it really. It's a great starter kit at a great price that would make a great gift for any beginning seamstress. Since the predominant colors are pink, I'm not so sure it would be good for the boys though. I kind of find that sad because I think ALL kids should be taught to sew. I learned in the military and I think it's one of the most useful skills anyone can have.

Great price, great kit

Love this kit! Great price with all the basic sewing essentials. The only misleading detail is the "reusable storage box" because mine was just the clear plastic container that the sewing kit was shipped in. Not really what I would refer to as a "reusable storage box." Other than that, it's just what I expected and perfect for a beginners sewing kit!
