Actually floats upright!
We got this ducky for our little one's bath time, and we liked it so much we bought another one to give to our friends who are expecting a little one. It looks just like an ordinary rubber ducky but it tells you if the water is too hot. It is the only rubber ducky that we have that actually floats upright. So, increases safety, looks cute, floats. Who could ask for anything more?

What did the blind pitcher say to the batter?
Duck! But it didn't matter, because the pitcher had gotten on the wrong subway line and ended up uptown and was actually throwing fastballs at the side of a Walgreens while the batter, still several miles away, was hitting the terribly poor curveball from the relief pitcher who was all too excited to have the opportunity to start a game for once. Also, the thermometer works fine and amuses my non-corporeal daughter when she decides to visit and take human form.

Yay! Rubber Ducky!
What can you say about a rubber ducky? It floats, it squeaks and it's shaped like a ducky! Perfect for kids bath time. I got a few of these for my mother with Alzheimer's to trick her into taking a bath more often, as she has become claustrophobic and argues about bathing anymore. Oh the things we do for our kids/parents. I hope my kids will do the same for me when I am 80 and need to be entertained in the tub.

A bathing essential
This is great for knowing just the right temperature for baby’s sensitive skin. Our skin is used to much hotter temperatures that baby can’t handle. This duck is also completely sealed so there is no way for water to get in and mold to grow. It makes it easy to rinse off and store for the next bath time. I would recommend this duck to all parents of new babies to prevent burning their skin.

Don’t think, just buy.
For such a simple and inexpensive product, this thing is one of the most durable and valuable things my 19mo has in the bath. What I love about this item compared to competitive products is that there are no pinholes to draw water in. As many parents know, mildew growth is a problem with some rubber bath toys as there’s no good way to clean them other than a mild bleach solution to kill the growth inside. And even that’s not a comfortable fix to the problem of mildew. Now Munchkin figures this out. The presumed statement of, “let’s seal the darn thing up,” must have been met with roaring applause after the Munchkin executives heard it. Then I imagine the designer adding, “and we can put a bath temperture safety puck on the bottom to let parents know at a glance if their kid is about to be boiled alive in the bath.” Yes and yes, well done Munchkin!!! Bottom line, get this duck for your kid(s), your friend’s kid(s), the kid(s) you’re considering having, or your inner kid / Ernie. It’s inexpensive, genius, and of great quality.

Great toy in or out of the water.
I bought this duck after some cheap ones we used before grew mold. My 18 months old absolutely loves it. I love that it can't grow mold inside and it's pretty solid plastic. The heat sensitive disc on the bottom is just a perk for me. It floats well, dries quickly, perfect for play in or out of the bath tub. I'll probably buy this for other families in my family with babies/toddlers.

BINGO - does the job!
Great buy- does help estimate the water temperature AND my grandson loves the duck toplay with. He bites it on the mouth and splashes the water with it. Makes getting clean much more fun. UPDATE - This has dramatically changed bath time for my grandson... he used to cry and fuss, now he splashes and plays with his duck. Amazing the difference one simple toy can make. And I think knowing the water is a comfortable temperature for him is a big part of his comfort. Adults forget that we are much more tolerant of temperatures so this is a worthwhile investment.

I would definitely recommend this to others
Love-Love-Love this product! I have carpal tunnel in both hands which prevents me from having the touch sensitivity that most people have. This rubber ducky gives me a lot more confidence in selecting the proper time to put my 2.5 year-old granddaughter in the tub. All we do is let him float around for a few seconds, pick him up and check his belly. It lets me know whether the water is too hot for her delicate skin or of it is just right. She loves to tell me that he is yellow and orange and that his tummy is blue and white! (When the temperature is correct). I would definitely recommend this to others.

It's good to know it's "safe"
It's good to know it's "safe". I mean, I'd hate to see the "lethal" ducky. The name is mostly accurate. It's small, like what I would envision a Munchkin to be. It's definitely a "Bath" toy. The safety part has already been covered but I feel as though the "White Hot" nomenclature is misleading. I mean, it's at best, water temp or maybe as hot as the ambient temperature but it is no where near white hot. I would imagine if it were made of phosphorous or magnesium it could be white hot but then it wouldn't exactly be safe now would it

Cute little rubber ducky, telling you ok or HOT, but always use your wrist anyway!
Love rubber ducks, happy friendly little things. This has the ability to warn when the water is too hot and let's you know when the water is ok. I know, I know, you can stick your wrist in the water and feel it, which is always necessary. I would never simply trust this cute little rubber ducky because a burn would be brutal.
