Everyone needs to buy this!
love this product, it works amazing! I find that i reapply more often than recommended for better results. I even us this in my alley to keep the weed population way down after initial roundup. I use this in all of my flower beds, in my garden once seedlings have germinated and are well established. I apply to dry soil and then water to keep it from blowing away. I recommend this to EVERYONE =)

A LIFESAVER!!!!
Excellent product !!! Our large flower bed was overwhelmed with weeds due to large amounts of unexpected rain. After pulling all the weeds we scattered this throughout, walked over it to embed it into dirt. Then we watered it well. Whola!!! 3 months later and hardly a weed pops through our mulch! It has saved my back! Definitely recommend!! Arrived early!! ( Pics:1-2 After Preen, #3 is Before. Don't b fooled the large amounts of green are weeds)

Highly recommended, but be sure to completely de-weed first as ...
I was skeptical, but after properly weeding the garden, I sprinkled Preen. Sure enough, no weeds anywhere several weeks later! I left one area untreated as a comparison, and that spot is covered now with unwanted guests. Highly recommended, but be sure to completely de-weed first as directed on the package.

Best seed germination preventer out there
Serious gardeners need this size to save money. I have used Preen in my landscaping for 20 years+ . Great product!

:::Great for Decorative Mulched Areas::::
Very effective. Here is how to keep decorative mulch 95% weed free: Pull any large weeds remaining from last year. Rake thoroughly. Add thin layer of new mulch. Apply Preen per directions - and a smidge more Reapply at 10 weeks .

Works very well.
Had not used this in many years, but now my days of weeding by hand are pretty much over. Did the initial weeding in spring before they took hold, put mulch down and put this around my plants. Did it again about a month later and have pretty much no weeds now that it is August, just a few here and there. Has saved a lot of work this summer.

No weeds!
Discovering Preen was a major life changer - yes - it was - I used to spend hours weeding the huge amount of flower beds where the lawn people never get involved - I did try a service to spray and it was useless - then I discovered Preen - I know I sound like I work for the company - nope just trying to pass the good word on - I was buying it in small containers but I use it every 3-4 months in order to stay ahead of the weeds and I like finding this larger size - No weeds!

It works!
This stuff works! I have several large landscaping beds that the previous owners put rock mulch in. After 10+ years, the 2-3" of rocks have a significant amount of dirt (silt) embedded in them. As soon as the top layer of rock is removed it looks like a dirt/rock mixture. As you might expect I have an absurd amount of weeds in these beds, so many I was initially resigned to the arduous task of either replacing them with mulch or removing, cleaning, and replacing the same rock mulch. After a friend's recommendation I tried Preen, and now using it as directed has kept my weeding needs to a minimum. As the manufacturer explains, it won't kill current root structures, which is why it's safe around ornamentals. In my case I first burnt all the (then empty) beds using a propane weed torch. I then applied Preen and over the next few weeks pulled any weeds that did emerge. I expected some to come back because the weed torch, as with Preen, does not kill the plants roots but only destroys the above ground greenery. I chose this approach because I wanted to get shrubs and other plants into the beds this year, and any type of standard herbicide like Roundup could have hurt these plants also, not to mention the other highly negative effects of Roundup on wildlife, ground water, and the environment. I've been pleasantly surprised by how few weeds have come back, and even more to see that once I removed these weeds the Preen application has done its job--I have seen no perceivable weed growth in the areas I cleared with this method. The application process is easy, and an every 2-3 month ritual is still much easier than pulling weeds or reapplying mulch. If it keeps working like this, Preen will have a happy customer for life with me! The picture I've included is a formerly weed infested bed about a month after pulling weeds and then applying Preen--weed growth is near zero, and we've have plenty of soaking rains to encourage them.

Time saver supreme
This is the biggest time saver of all the products I use for my own landscaping. One has to follow the instructions, which are very simple - just don't try to cut corners. For example, you've got to have your three inches of mulch. So to use this product, one might have to first run out and get more mulch. I already had 2 sacks of unopened mulch and used them first. Pulling out existing weeds is one of the seemingly most futile jobs in the world because others will always grow back. That's why I love using this product. So easy, and only pull out weeds once or twice. The pour spout makes spreading the Preen simple. I'm buying the larger size too to refill my 5.6 pound container. It's worth it to me.

Excellent product! Works great when used correctly.
This is a wonderful product, unfortunately not available in Canada. Fast shipping from the US, it arrived in only 7 days, very impressive. I have been using it for years, and what a difference! It works very well if you follow the directions and use the correct amount. I apply it right after I seed my garden near the end of May, and then approximately 3 months later. It keeps my garden nearly weed free compared to areas where I don't sprinkle it. One application will not last the whole season. It's best to apply it after you've worked the ground and uprooted all the weeds, because it won't kill the ones that are already growing. I wear rubber gloves and sprinkle it by hand, that seems to distribute it much better than shaking the jug. Great product, will definitely continue to purchase it.
