Great Product! Super Easy!
What a simple item that makes a huge difference. For plastic and velcro, these are really strong. I put them on two windows on the ground level of my house and feel much more comfortable leaving my windows open. My husband and I tried pushing the windows up more once they were fastened and couldn't. Then we tried again when we were drunk (when we seem to have better ideas) and still couldn't. The velcro allows you to change how much you can open the window by a few inches making the decision where to put the wedge slightly less permanent. Very smart product!

Simple solution tops all others
I'm one of those lucky folks that lives in a dry climate where evaporative cooling is effective. However, windows in each room must be left open a few inches in order to cool - creating some unease for my wife about intrudors. I've tried several different window lock options, but none held securely on the builder grade vinyl windows on out first floor. These window wedges were very easy to install, and provide an effective barrier while still allowing the ventilation we need. Plus, there made in the USA!

A safety must!
Easy to install, and works. My toddler can now open the window 2 inches, the distance we set, and then the window stopper works! A must for any parent with kids who are tall enough to open windows. Kids can remove these if they can reach them.

These work great
These work great. I use them for a window that has an AC unit in it and another window that I like to crack open a little but not have to worry about someone lifting the window open and climbing in. Surprisingly strong at keeping the window in place

Perfect for mamas
We LOvE these. Literally the first product we bought after purchasing our first home and knowing we were moving from the apartment- where we also had these installed- Cheap, easy, basic concept that eases this mamas worry of the kids and all the windows; no kiddos can escape, fall, open etc- and same goes for from the outside. I just love these. I really do.

Perfect, Simple, Cheap
Two years ago tomorrow my (then 16 month old) son fell out a second story window of our house onto our driveway. After a terrifying ambulance ride and night of MRIs and X-rays the doctors concluded that the fracture in his skull wasn't too bad and he came home bruised but healthy. There were two intelligent, alert adults in the room when my son fell out the window. We were changing diapers and putting on pijamas with his siblings when in a couple wiggles he was up the chair and up onto the windowsill. The warnings on screens are sincere, they do nothing to retain a child leaning against them. When we went to childproof our windows after this we tried several options, including fancy locks that screwed in to the metal frame and could switch between locked and unlocked (in the event of a fire). One after another we'd go to open a window with muscle memory of the window opening all the way, and smash the locks right off. Velcro and tape didn't really seem like it would be much of a contender, but once we installed one of these we knew we had found the winner. I understand that different windows have different designs. We've used these in two different homes now (both built in the last 20 years) and have had zero problems with them. I'm truly baffled by the one star reviews that mention either the velcro slipping or the tape not holding. I really don't think I could force the window open with these in place if my life depended on it (but they're easy to remove). The velcro is robust and the tape/glue is incredible. Some have mentioned windows that can slide OVER these. Which I can't imagine (they're about the size of the smallest door stop), but apparently could be a problem for some windows. They do the three things you'd want any window lock to do, and they do it great. 1. They prevent a child from opening the window past a custom point that you set, but still allow for a breeze. 2. They prevent an intruder from forcing a window open, while still allowing for a breeze. 3.They are easy for an adult to remove in the event of fire. The velcro is incredibly tough horizontally, but are just easy enough for an adult to pop off pulling away (rather than across) the velcro. None of my intelligent kids, the oldest now five, have ever been able to remove one. I truly believe any adult could look at it and easily remove the wedge in the event of fire, even if they weren't aware the window had a locking mechanism (which I can't say for any other mechanism). Lastly, not only do you get to place the wedge where you want (for a one inch crack or a 4 inch crack or whatever), the strip of velcro that tapes/glues to the window frame is significantly longer than the wedge, so you can reposition it easily if you want a smaller or wider opening at any time (try that with screws). P.S. When we moved from out last home to this one a few months ago, we had to remove these. The taped/glued velcro strip was on incredibly tight. I had to tug very hard to remove it. But when it came off, it left no residue behind at all. Basically what i'm trying to say is that these are perfect in every way.

Great solution
These are such a simple yet smart little gadget. My mom and I had talked about wishing there was some type of window lock to help us feel safer about leaving the windows open on cool nights. She found these & sent me a pack. I liked them so much I ordered another pack & plan to order more. Extremely simple to install and also easy for my kids to remove the stop should they have an emergency & need to open the window. We did a few practice runs and they had no problem. I tested it with some good tugs upon installation and have since forgotten they were there a few times & nearly ripped my shoulder off yanking the window open but the wedge held firm.

Secure and easy to use
I got these for a small kitchen window that I wanted to leave open to vent on hot summer nights. These fit perfectly and the wedge shape really makes it impossible to open the window any further than where the wedges are set. They are very easy to mount- a sticky velcro strip is provided- and then the wedges can be moved up and down on the velcro to adjust the width of the window opening. The only drawback I have found is that I mounted the velcro strip in the wrong spot the first time and when I pulled it off to re-mount it, it lost some of it's original stickiness. Fortunately, they send two extra velcro strips. The white wedges also blend in really well with my white window frames and you can barely even tell they are there. Overall, very happy so far.

Great for kids' bedrooms
What I love most about these is that they are so easy to put on. They are literally strip of velcro (about 8 inches) and then the wedges (about 3 inches). You place the strip on the window and then place the ledge on the strip where you want it and that's it. The only thing I don't like is that sometimes my husband or I will forget that these are there and we will open the window right over them. This isn't really a problem, because the reason I bought them is so that my kids can't open the windows near their beds more than a couple inches. They would never have the strength to open the window above the ledges. I have purchased a few of these and would definitely recommend them.

Cresci Products has A+++ Customer Service
These wedges are quite strong! I use one on each side of my window, so each window has 2 strips with 2 wedges. I am on the first floor and feel comfortable leaving my window partially open at night. If someone tried to get in, there would be so much noise that I think my neighbors would even hear the racket! The first time I installed these, I incorrectly installed the velcro strips and could not use them. I e-mailed the Cresci Products directly to see if I could purchase more strips and received an immediate response from them (and it was on a Saturday) letting me know they would mail the strips to me at no charge. I provided my name and address and the strips came in about 2 days! What superb and amazing customer service for an excellent product. If you are looking for added security on your windows, these Cresci Window Wedges are what you need to get.
