I’m not sure who is having the most fun with this toy, the yorkie or my husband. Our yorkie, Polly, is five pounds, so we got the small squirrel one. She loves it. We put the 3 squirrels in the trunk and squeak one. She goes crazy digging the stump until she has them all out, then she immediately kills each one. The more they squeak, the crazier she gets. Once she’s exhausted, she uses the stump as a pillow for a nap. We have lots of squirrels around the yard and she would love to be able to chase them. I won’t let her. Now she has her own squirrels! So far the whole toy is in one piece. We love it. Loads of fun just watching her enjoy her new toy. Recommend highly.

Little Dakota is Nuts over this...She is a 16 week old Coton De Tulear and has so much fun with this toy! First, she loves throwing the tree trunk up in the air, so cute, catches it and does it over and over. Secondly, she keeps busy with her nose buried deep inside trying to snag a squirrel or 2. And Thirdly, once she's gotten the squirrels out, it's a frantic game of fetch as she brings me a captured squirrel, I squeak it and toss it as she scampers after it bringing it back for more tosses. Plus, It also keeps my husband busy too, rounding up all the squirrels each night and putting them back in the tree! A win win for me.

Our puppy lives to destroy. The name "Pirahna" would be more suitable for our 3 month old "Molly". This is a dog that eats the outside of our house. She eats rocks, the underbelly of chairs, wooden porches...nothing is safe. She is the godzilla of small towns made of dog toys. Every toy we have gotten her lays shredded in indistinguishable ruins with the exception of this one little Squirrel House. We made bets on how long it would last -- 15 seconds being the favorite choice. She doesn't waste time searching out the squirrels in the house. No, she just shakes the house with her head vigorously and the squirrels go flying. This is her favorite toy. She carries the squirrels around like they're her babies. Her favorite pull toy is the squirrel house and its held up better than any toy actually made to be a pulI toy. I really, really don't get it -- but this is the Samsonite of all dog toys. I'd write more but I just saw her go through the doggie door with my recipe book.

I bought the tiny one. Now I'm back to buy another one. I have 2 little ankle biters, about 6-7 lbs each, and they love it so much I had to get another one to keep them from fighting over it. My shitzu mix loves playing fetch and squeaking toys. My yorkie mix doesn't care for them but does like to tear things apart. They BOTH love this. It doesn't take them long to get the little squirrels out but they have so much fun doing it and it makes me laugh watching them so it's a win-win. Oh and who doesn't love walking around the house looking for little squirrel carcasses to shove back into a tree? They are so darn cute that I don't mind lol

My miniature Schnauzer puppy has been loving this (the smallest one) for about 4 weeks. It's fun to stuff all the squirrels inside and throw it. At first it took him a long time to get them all out even when I intentionally placed them with tails sticking out for easy grabbing. Now I'm really stuffing them in there and it takes him 1-2 minutes, which is perfect. The squeakers are holding up well so far. I even washed it (with the whole thing inside a delicates washer bag, air dried) and it came out fine.

I have an 11 week old mini schnauzer, ~5 lbs, who loves to play and chew. Once I gave him this toy, I had never seen him so quiet. He pulled out one of the squirrels and was playing with it a lot. He hasn't quite figured out there are other squirrels in there, but he enjoys to play with the stump or the squirrels themselves. I bought the smallest size (junior) and think it's perfect for him at his current size. However, once he grows to full size (~20 lbs) I'd imagine the squirrels would be too small for him to safely chew on. Everything is soft and seems quite durable. It does absorb liquid a bit, something to keep in mind if they are still potty training. Overall I'm very happy with this product and will buy the larger size when he gets bigger.

My dog is a teacup pomeranian. She is extremely picky about toys. The toy that is too big or too loud scares her. She only loves human's lap. This toy is the only one that drives her crazy. This is how I made this toy extra fun for her: 1. How to make it fun (like KONG): I don't know why, but dogs really like pulling things out of a hole. Therefore, this toy itself already is very interesting for them. If they don't interested in it, you can try to squeak the squirrel inside the log. This can get their attention and they will want to dig the log and get the squirrel. If you don't have the time to squeak the toy, just bury a treat under the squirrel inside the log. Then, they will spend the whole day trying to get to it. Just like the kong. 2. Which size is the best I bought the biggest and the smallest size available. The log itself has several holes for the dog to pull the squirrel out. The bigger the size, the bigger the hole and the bigger the squirrel. The suggested size for my dog is the smallest one. It is hard for my dog to get the squirrel, but my dog's head always got stuck in the log. One time, her head got stuck in the middle of the night and I only found out in the morning (as in the photo). Therefore, I only let her have the biggest size one at night. She enjoyed both sizes, so I am more happy with the bigger size.

I only bought this because of the high ratings and low price. As soon as I showed my dog the toy he went crazy. I hide the squirrels in the trunk and he loves shoving his snout in the opening and pulling the squirrels out. Maybe he feels like he's hunting, or perhaps it makes him feel like an apex predator, but he loves it, lol. I bought the small size for my 10lbs dog. The squirrels are just the right size and fit perfectly into his mouth. He has enjoyed countless hours with this toy and its almost time to buy a replacement. These toys will not last forever, it totally depends on your dog and how much of a chewer he/she is. My dog has destroyed the squirrels and I will gladly buy more. The toy lasted about 3-4 months, and I consider this normal since it's a plus toy, not a plastic bone. The squirrels have squeakers in them and trunk is hollow so you can stuff em inside. Definitely recommend!

We have a very sweet 5-year-old Pug named Wally. For his fifth birthday, I decided to get him the small squirrel log that has three squirrels. He instantly loved the toy, and because of his short snout, he quickly figured out how to shake the log really hard in order to release the squirrels! While he does enjoy playing with the cute squeaky squirrels, he’s actually obsessed with the log itself. He LOVES the log. He carries it around all the time (except for when he’s eating....he is a Pug, after all) and enjoys playing fetch with it. Though he’s never shown aggression over any of his toys before, he will growl if we try to take the log from him when he’s not willing to play fetch! His other toys have been completely abandoned since the arrival of the squirrels and log. Though Wally usually rips open stuffed toys to eat the stuffing (because Pugs are ALWAYS hungry!), he hasn’t destroyed the squirrels or log yet. I’m amazed, because he’s had it for two months now. When the eventual and inevitable destruction of the log and/or squirrels occurs, this toy is inexpensive enough to repurchase and I won’t hesitate to do so.
