I bought an expensive sifter about 10 years ago. It finally showed its age so I wanted to replace it. This sifter is just as good for half the price. Pros: *Good quality *Smooth cranking motion *Light but sturdy Cons: *Markings are estimates, not highly accurate *Tape used for label leaves residue on outside *Handle could be more ergnomic Tips: Wash infrequently and when you do dry completely right away to prevent rust. I shake mine out after each use and store inside a grocery bag to contain any remaining dust. Overall a good value, happy with this purchase!

Smaller than the one I purchased back in the late '70s but it works fine. Lightweight and easy to use. I had purchased one that required me to squeeze the handle and shake it to sift which was too much for my hands. This one just requires me to turn the handle to sift. I LOVE that about this one. I had this for about a year and a half and would purchase it again without a 2nd thought.

Works really well. Just remember to let it dry completely before reusing it. And for those who have said that it "sprays" flour everywhere...they are either spinning it as fast as possible or they have over filled it. I have had no issues with it and use it several times a week. I'm an avid baker and love this sifter.

This sifter is the simple crank one that’s probably in your Grandmother’s kitchen — and it’s still around for a reason. They work well. This one is no exception and produces a finely sieved dry ingredient, without pushing through clumps that form in some ingredients. The price is great for the product ($9). And it’s as easy to clean as can be!

Love this sifter! It remains rust free after washed if you dry it with a towel, then let finish air drying over a warm stove top until completely dry. The adhesive residue from the sticker came off on mine. Only once it washed scrubbed/scratched with a fingernail. The size is perfect for home bakers alike!

I had been looking for this style of sifter for a while. I like the kind that have a rotating bar that spins by cranking the handle around vs the the kind you squeeze the handle the the mechanism shifts back and forth. Ive used it many times since purchasing and it seems to he well built

Had moved and who knows where my old strainer that is like this packed away--will find out someday! Meanwhile, cooking goes on and I needed a strainer really bad, so I saw the exact one I've had for years and bought it. It is great, just like my old one. It is nice and sturdy and easy to use.

Standard sifter. The last one I owned for years and years, hopefully this one will be the same, since I don’t use it very often. It does appear to be stainless steel as opposed to cheap tin, and it has a winder sifter, which is easy to use.

I was excited to see one of these sifters. Mine I have had for many many many years had started to rust and I had to throw it away. This is not as large as the one I had. This is a better size for me know. I don’t cook and bake like I once did but maybe with this new one I will get back into baking. The turn inside the sifter is smooth and works really well. I would recommend this to every baker.

You could use a rice strainer to sift with but this is just so much cuter and nicer to my hands. I don't have to smack the strainer anymore. Just turn the crank. I actually didn't know these existed till I watched a Rosanna Pansino video on youtube on How to Make Home Made Fondant. ( Hint: When making the home made fondant use half powdered sugar and half pancake batter. If you don't want it to be too sweet.)
