These are great. Work as they are supposed to. Kept my kid and a pile of stuffed animals in bed for a few yrs. Finlly outgrew them and recently took them down. Recommended

After reading some of the reviews I thought I was going to need to brush up on my calculus to install the rail. Its actually pretty easy. The only "trick" is how the straps are configured. Originally I accidently put the straps on the same side instead of across, from rail to rail. It was very easy to detach the straps and reposition. It took, maybe, 20 minutes to properly install it. After installing under the mattress, I put my full, grown man body weight against the rail and it held surprisingly well. It didn't really budge at all. I'm very confident that my kid that weighs about 10% of my body weight will stay put in bed at night with these in place.

This is very safe! There is no gap to fall between, it actually pushes into the mattress. I have it on a queen sized bed for my 2 year old son. I was concerned that making the bed and changing the sheets would be a pain with this on, but it's really easy! I just flip them down, make the bed, and snap them back in place. My toddler is really good about staying in the middle of his bed, so I'll probably take them off in the next year or so to use on my daughter's bed when she's old enough for a "big girl bed".

This product met our needs to a T. Very sturdy. Fairly easy to assemble. We have a bunk bed and we are using it on the bottom bunk for our 2.5 year old. We can't drop the side down due to the style of the bed (we don't have a box spring under the mattress). We placed a couple of washcloths under the dropping mechanism to keep it from damaging the wood rails.

I put these together myself and only needed an extra set of hands to get the mattress back on top of them. Using with a true box spring on a twin bed. We keep them in the up position other than when changing the sheets - but folding them under the mattress is really easy. Toddler (2.5 year old) has not fallen out in the 6 mo we've been using so they do their job - and he is all over the bed when he sleeps! He usually has some of his animals stuffed partially in the sides between the rail & mattress. Books tend to slide between and get temporarily "lost" in there too. I would buy again.

I almost didn't buy these because of several poor reviews but I'm glad that I ended up purchasing them. Admittedly, my husband put it together and he did say that it wasn't particularly easy; however, once put together it works exactly as promised. The rails fold down and slide under the mattress easily making the bed look much nicer during the day. When we need them at night it's simple to pull them back out and pop back into place. The part of the rail that allows you to store it under the mattress does create some lift of the mattress on the sides but nobody has noticed this while laying on the bed. There is a slight gap between the rails and the mattress when up but this isn't a problem for an older child (i.e. no worries that child would somehow get between mattress and rails and suffocate). All in all I'm very satisfied with this product.

So the way it’s set up it leaves a small gap between the mattress and the rail. There’s been two situations where my son wakes up screaming because his foot got stuck in that small crack. He’s 3 and he’s in a full size bed by himself and some how manages to get to the edges. Also the white material looks dirty even though it’s not. Should really spray the metal rods white instead of grey makes the lining look dirty definitely not an appealing look. Ok product does it’s job keeps ur kid from falling.

My three year old recently moved into a full size bed. We ordered the double sided bed rail to keep him from rolling out of bed - he tends to roll around a lot in his sleep. This set was fairly easy to put together, although you do need to pay attention to the directions. His mattress has a pillow top and these bed rails still stand up far enough past the edge of the mattress to keep him in the bed. I have had no problems raising and lowering the sides to change sheets. The rails under the mattress do make the middle of the mattress bump up a little, but it's not that noticeable and has not affected our son's ability to sleep on the mattress. I would definitely recommend these to anyone who needs a double sided bed rail.

So far so good! Have had this for a few weeks now. Had another person put it together, and he says that putting it together was easy enough, but that the directions were inadequate. Purchased it for a senior who has active dreams -- wanted something to keep her in bed instead of her waking up on the floor. So far so good! She reports that she now sleeps secure in the knowledge that this will keep her from falling. We have tried numerous movement scenarios to check the sturdiness, and all seems perfect. Haven't yet had an actual save... that we know of... I read all of the reviews and was careful with the fabric and zipper. All seems just fine. I like the mesh material for ease of air circulation. She likes the hide-away option, although she mostly just keeps it up and in place. Very pleased with the quality of this item: the security it provides, the ease of operation, the pleasing appearance, the hide-away option, and of course, the low price!

I haven’t put this on the bed yet but we are this week - my husband doesn’t think this is gonna work out - I think it is - I like how you can hide the rails under the mattress when your not using them - I hope I don’t have to return cause this is something I like- so will see
