Perfect for my 6 year old

It has been a long winter and I bought this for my daughter to keep busy on a long snowy day! She loves it! the yarn is MORE than enough. She is almost finished with the project and we still have a whole bundle of yarn left! She has been working on it for about 1 week she loves taking her time. It a perfect needlepoint first item! I cant wait to buy her the other designs! Only downside is that I would love if they made a more "boy" design so my son can practice his fine motor skills. But that has no reflection on this great item!

It is my five-year old daughter's first needlepoint project, and she is able to do it with minimal help. She is learning precision, patience and diligence. The plastic needle is safe for child use and large enough to be handled easily by young fingers. The yarn is difficult to thread, but once in, flows beautifully.

Very Pleased

This needlepoint kit was great! My husband and boys went on a fathers and sons campout. My 6 year old daughter was very excited to have some girl time. We selected this kit and it arrived right away. She had a few days of peeking at it here and there with growing anticipation. When our night arrived she loved it! At first I was careful to show her how to do it just right. Then she enjoyed just working it on her own. The end result doesn't look exactly like the picture, but it is still lovely. She worked most of it that night and finished the rest the next morning. This kit was of superior quality. I have purchased similar kits in the past. The plastic grid was sturdy and the paint did not flake at all. There was plenty of yarn for each color. The design was simple and pleasing. Once complete, the design clicked nicely into place inside the frame. I give my highest recommendation for this product. Way to go, Alex toys!

My 5 year old says "Mommy can we sew?"

This was a birthday present for my 5-year old daughter who was upset that she could not use my sewing kit. This b-day gift has been a great value and is an excellent tool to work on hand/eye coordination. It comes with and adorable frame so she will have a project to display upon completion. This is our "project" together every night after getting changed for bed and I couldn't be happier.

Needlepoint

My granddaughter, age 6, likes to sew. This is a simple needlepoint kit, which contains everything needed to complete the needlepoint. She had a true sense of accomplishment when she finished her first needlepoint! I asked her who she would give it to...and she decided she liked it so much she wanted to keep it in her "immediate family"...so, for the holiday season, she gave it to her father as a present. I suspect her father agreed to give it back to her.

Bought as a donation for a retirement homes activity department

I bought this for a nursing home's activity department at a facility I worked at as a nurse. I never saw the finished product. But I'm sure it was very appreciated by whoever got to use it. Great product and gift idea. Especially for the elderly. Thanks for prompt delivery.

I bought this for my 9 year old daughter's birthday (both this and the butterfly pattern). She loves it. I will note that she does need help getting a new thread started, so it may not be a completely adult-free activity. The yarn is very vibrant and the plastic makes it easy to sew (vs cloth). Overall, I'd say this is a great gift if your child enjoys crafts.

Nice activity!

Cute little project! But, it arrived with the box torn and the needle was missing. Luckily we had one.
