My birds love this thing!
Mark Grisham
Put it right next to the perch and the birds will jump in - eventually.
This bird bath looks great and can be placed anywhere on a cage side wall. At first, the parakeet birds did not bother with this bird bath. Then I figured it was not easy for them to get in because I put the bird bath far away from their perches. I thought the birds will just fly over there and land in the bird bath. After 2 days, I moved the bird bath right next to their perches. The birds then hopped onto the bird bath wall and bent down and used the bird bath only for drinking water. It was not until a week later that I saw the birds finally going into the water and dip their whole body into the water a few times then jump out and back onto their perch and shake their feathers. This bird bath is the perfect size for the parakeets. Not too big and not too small. I only fill the bird bath 1/2 full of water, which is what the instructions suggest to do. Another note, the bath needs to be rotated 180 degrees clockwise to lock it in place into the arm that is connected to the cage side wall. To remove the bird bath, rotate it 180 degrees counter clock wise.

Parakeets took to it
Sized for one parakeet at a time. Enjoyable to watch. I attached it up high so it was less apt to get poop in it from the birds perching elsewhere and pooping over it. Still, I changed it at least twice a day. Birds also tended to drink out of it rather than there drinking fountain. Which is another reason to empty the dirty water often and fill it with fresh. The bank itself would not fit through the doors without angling it. So I would place a small cup Inside the Cage, disconnect the bath from its Mount and pour the dirty water inside the cup. And then remove the cup through the door. And then I could angle the empty bath through the door without spilling any dirty water. Take it to the sink and wash it. Reverse the system to fill the bath. The parakeet cage was what I consider to be the average standard size found at any typical pet store. In the one side, it had three doors for access, the middle one was slightly larger. But still not large enough to get the bath through it without angling it. Wish I could give you measurements, but the cage is at Mom's and the birds are keeping her company now.

My green cheek and parakeet love this bath!
Peach i.e.(my green cheek conure) and Pee Wee(my parakeet) loving their bath already! I attached it to the outside and within 20 mins they were playing in it. I might have to by another so they don't have to share!

EXCELLENT product!
Just recently I acquired a large cage for my Canary and not being able to attach his old bird bath, one that sits at the door opening hanging outside the cage, I had to find an alternative. Very happy to have found this beautifully designed and practical indoors bird bath. It looks and almost feels like glass with a nice green tint and it fits perfectly anywhere in the cage. The attachment to the cage bar is strong and secure keeping the water cup itself secure in place throughout the frenzy dance our birds do while taking a bath. ;-) Easy to remove to clean and replace the water daily. My little guy and I are in agreement and we just love the way it works for both of us.

Parakeet LOVES this
My parakeet LOVES this bird bath! It was kind of a pain to install cause it was tilting downwards. So I turned the pieces that go against the bars vertically and wedged them under the bars on the top so it would counteract the downward tilting. Even as I was installing this my parakeet was super curious about it and the minute I filled it with water he hopped in (his first time with a bird bath) and started going in and out constantly getting more and more comfortable. I filled it a little less than halfway with water. I think it was a half cup. Besides the installation I'm extremely pleased with this product. It seems to be made of durable thick long lasting plastic and isn't too hard to install once you figure it out. I would DEFINITELY recommend you order this your bird will have a blast.

Great
great bath. easy to install. my budgies were deathly afraid of it at first, but they warmed up to it quickly. One thing they love is when I put some kind of vegetable inside of it in the water, and they dip their heads in the water to eat it. I see them bathing once in a while. Birds have their own schedule for taking baths, I learned. I never knew what was the proper way to bathe them - when I was a child I owned budgies and I used to make them take baths. That was the wrong approach. When budgies want a bath, they will just take one when they feel like it. Recently, when I was on a trip and they didn't get to use the bath for more than a week, soon after I put it back in, the female budgie bathed with gusto. She dunked her head, she extended her wings, she did it multiple times. It was very fun to see. Only downside is that even though I put it away from perches, they like to sit on the edges with butts facing toward the water, and they end up pooping in it anyway. I have to change the bathwater every day. I don't mind though and I think this is a great birdbath for budgies.

Wonderful Bath
Within sixty seconds of seeing this bath placed in the cage, our two young parakeets were ready to try the water. At first they put their beaks in the water. Then they stepped into the bath and walked around. This is such a simple thing but so enjoyable to watch. The birds love the water and spend a lot of time preening after they are finished splashing around. It is really fun to see them so happy. The bathtub is very attractive. I love the clear blue look. It is a cheerful color that suggests of clean, clear water. It took me a couple minutes to figure out the attachment. The two pieces have raised or dipped square designs that allow them to fit onto the main unit either horizontally or vertically. This gives you options for attaching the bath on different bars. The bolt inserts from the inside of the bath arm unit, and then sticks out so you can attach the other piece on the other side of the cage bars with the wing nut. Good design. I can easily un-attach the bath to clean it, then put it back again. The attachment is sturdy. The size it very nice. Our two parakeets can both stand in the bath. They usually take turns, however, for more splashing room. They especially appreciate the shallow depth of the bath, which seems to make them feel secure and brave about stepping in and out, in and out. Usually we fill it about half full. The mess factor is surprisingly low. There is a bit of splashing but not a big mess. Love it! Glad we got it.
