Exactly what I wanted/needed at a great price
I absolutely love this purchase. For only $12, what a steal! I've seen the exact same thing at PetSmart for over $20, and for the amount of fun my kitty gets out of it, it's such a bargain. My kitten loves to chase balls around, but I lose them within hours because they get under/behind things, lost in the void along with all of the dryer socks. However, the ball has absolutely no chance at coming out of this thing--I even tried to pry it out with my fingers to test it, and it's pretty much stuck for good! The sound the ball makes as it rolls attracts kitty to it and she bags it around and runs in circles around it until she gets pooped. I've been looking for a toy that can keep her occupied while I'm not home, and I haven't had much luck with "play mats" with crinkly material/feathers/etc. on them (or catnip... I think she may be too young to be sensitive to it). This toy answers all my problems! It definitely doesn't hurt that there's a cardboard scratch pad in the middle. I don't think Scooter's figured out that's what it's for yet (or she's just not a fan of corrugated cardboard for scratching), but it's a really neat insert for people whose pets love that material!

My cats LOVE the Bergan Turbo toy!
My three cats love this toy and 2-year-old Seth, a golden, tried to remove the ball from the toy. Actually, he did manage to pick the ball up, but unfortunately, the whole toy came with the ball. When he lost his hold on the ball, the toy fell to the floor and made a loud BANG noise...Seth took off and ran to the bedroom and hasn't touched the ball since then. The cats, Airy, Puff, and Joanie, love to play with it, especially around midnight! I don't mind the noise (on a wooden floor no less!) but the woman downstairs might not like. :) ) The sound brings back sweet memories when Jennifer (golden) would prevent B.J's from playing with his toy. They're both at the Bridge now and have been for many years but I have that memory of Jenny being a spoiled brat and poor B.J's, who had a face like Grumpy Cat, just sitting there, looking so forlorn. Poor kitty! The Bergan Turbo Scratcher is a very good toy; it's well made and seems to be quite sturdy. I bought it as a Christmas present for the cats and all I had to do was place it on the floor and they pounced on it and boy did they have fun! This is their first Turbo toy and I know they would give it Four Paws Up and I'm so glad I bought it. That's Jennifer in the photo, preventing B.J.s from having fun.

Even tiny kittens love it.
I foster cats and litters, so I can say from experience that very few cats can resist this toy, especially if you sprinkle the catnip on it. Even tiny kittens love it.

Best toy.
We adopted our kitten a week today. Haven't had a cat in our house for 62yrs. , so thought this looked like a fun toy, and we wouldn't have toys laying all over for my husband and I to trip over, we are in our 80s. Well , this was a great choice for a toy. Domino started playing with it as soon as it was unpacked. Not only Domino playing but our 8 yr old Mini Schnauzer plays with it along with Domino. One pet on each side of the toy and bat the ball to each other. Couldn't buy a better toy. And the scratcher will keep Domino from scratching furniture. It also arrived on time , the day we were told .

Good toy. Shipping box was better received.
Great toy. Sturdy. Came with catnip. The ball captivated their attention and they used the cardboard ring to scratch on. The cats loved this toy for all but two days. The box how ever has been a big part of their lives. They play in it. They chill in it. They scratch on it. They even have cuddle sessions in there when they can't cuddle with me. I don't know why I bother buying special toys for them when I should just be buying boxes.

10 stars!!!!
Can I give this 10 stars lol, my mom ordered this for my cat Felicia who can come and go as she pleases via a cat door, I originally thought there's no way it would hold her interest when she's use to chasing, catching, torturing and halfway eating living creatures. Boy was I wrong, that Dang ball is like the elusive prey she can't quite disable lol, she will play with it hardcore for fifteen minutes straight then go catch a lizard for satisfaction and come back and try to kill the ball, she's absolutely hilarious with this toy! She's not crazy about the scratch part but she has real trees so I don't expect her to be overly joyed with cardboard however an exclusively indoor cat would probably love it Also I myself pulled on the ball and it really doesn't come out unless excessive force is applied (I would have to pull on the ball and push on the base pretty hard), yea my pitbull could probably get it out but Felicia tried to and it just lifted the entire toy TIPS- *It needs to be on a gripping surface, Felicia won't play with it when it slides on the tile (I just pinned a towel between two tables to keep it in place temporarily, double sided duck tape would probably work fine as well which I'm going to use when I find a permanent place) *Don't put it in your bedroom at night if your cat can get to it because I assure you kitty will wake you up rolling that ball I think my mom paid around $11 and honestly I'd pay $20 just to be entertained by my cat playing with it for ten minutes she hysterical

Awesome entertainment for my beautiful blind boy!
Didn't know how big a hit this would be with my beautiful blind boy, but he loves it and so do I. Keeps him busy when I'm at work. He follows the ball sound as he bats it round and round and the ball stays put! Only been two times I found it out of the "track" no fault of the toy. He's a feisty 3.5 year old with some strong legs. Of all his toys, this is his favorite. Watching him one can't help but smile! The scratcher center is also his favorite of his scratching posts. It's his first stop every morning. I have no problem with him clawing furniture at all. I rescued him in May an my furniture still looks just like it did before Oreo Wonder became part of my family. I highly recommend this Cat toy for both sighted an blind fur babies. As much fun for me to watch Oreo play, as it is for him!

A quality product your cat will love!!!!
I live alone with one cat and was worried she was becoming bored during the long winter months. I typically purchase small furry toys resembling mice that almost immediately get tossed under my couch and out of reach of her small kitty arms. This looked like the perfect solution. The Bergan Turbo Scratcher Cat Toy was intelligently packaged, and I was pleasantly surprised with the complimentary bag of cat nip. I placed it on the floor, and while my cat seemed curious, she wasn't quite on board. I suspected the new plastic smell may have been off-putting. She watched me as I got on my hands and knees and rolled the ball around and scratched at the cardboard center. I was worried this would be some cheap junk, but the ball is substantial and makes a great noise as it rolls around the track. This is definitely a quality product. Several weeks passed, and I realized she wasn't all that interested in this thing often actively avoiding it. One night, after way too many beers, I decided to just pick her up and sit her down right in the middle of it. This was a rookie mistake. She clawed three deep cuts in my arm, hissed at both me and the toy and took off down the hallway toward my bedroom like a cat out of hell. Then finally it happened. It's a Wednesday, midnight, pitch black, and I'm in bed awakened by the unmistakable sound of that ball rolling around the track. This was followed by deep and satisfying scratching on the cardboard center. My cat was in bliss, making noises I'd never heard before! I didn't waste my money! Eyes closed, covered in blankets, I smiled and congratulated myself. Nice job. This exquisite nocturnal playtime with rolling and scratching kept me awake for well over two hours. While pleased with this turn of events, I do have to work in the morning. As the darkness of night got quieter, the noises seemed to get louder. "Alright", I finally say, "this is about enough" and I turn on my bedside lamp. Jokingly, I cried out, "Hey, you mind keeping it down out there?!" My heart stopped as I suddenly discovered my cat sound asleep right next to me.

Greatest cat toy ever IMHO
I've had several of these over the years. I got this one for my g/f. When one of my cats was ancient, could hardly see or walk, he would still drag himself over to it and bat at it every day. With the kittens its just hilarious, good exercise and group fun. The adult cats will surround it and play a form of tether ball, shooting it around at each other. Because its a toy, they enjoy it and as a result use the scratching pad a lot instead of something I don't want to be scratched. The scratching pads themselves don't last a really long time but they are inexpensive if purchased in bulk and when one side wears out, just turn it over. For a lot of fun, sprinkle cat nip on the pad and rub it around with your palm so it falls through the corrugated holes into the bottom; my cats go simply crazy and spin the ball around at light speed until they collapse. Enjoy
