Bought this for and installed it on a 2002 Chevrolet trailblazer 4x4 4.2L straight 6. This part was replacing an aftermarket one that lasted approximately 45k miles. Installation was simple and only took about 20 minutes. It came with the necessary gasket. The part is well made and was visibly better constructed than the aftermarket part it was replacing. Its been running for 8k miles with no leaks, noises or other issues.

I wish there was 6 stars to give. This made my truck run SO smooth, it was like it was a new truck. I can't believe that this little guy does so much. The only hard thing about installing this is that damn fan. Good luck getting that thing off! I had a feeling my pump was going out because my fan would sound like its in water because the pump was loose. Then the horrible thing happened where the fan wobbled like mad and you could physically move the fan back and forth. When I drove the fan would wobble so bad that it felt it was going to blow up then went to normal after 1st gear. Then the worst thing happened, which scared me. I pulled into my parking spot at home, and I see the engine was smoking a lot, I get out to check and you can hear and see just gallons of coolant being spilled out all over the parking lot. Thankfully this little guy got me back on the road and my truck is running beautiful and smooth again. I have a GMC Envoy if anyone was interested :P

Fits 2008 Trailblazer

We had read reviews here so decided to give it a try instead of taking truck to a garage. Husband has a 2008 Trailblazer. There was one comment that told you what to expect and he was right on the money. Husband was prepared to have to take off the plate in front of the water pump so no surprises. Fit perfectly and is running like new. Like a lot of others suggested we did buy a more heavy duty gasket that was recommended and didn't use the one that came with the water pump. Saved 200-300 by doing it himself.

Quality

I went through 3 aftermarket water pumps on my Trail Blazer for no apparent reason except poor quality aftermarket parts. One pump was 3 months old and failed brought it back to local parts store and gave me a hard time warrantying it? Finally gave me another new pump that lasted 3 months again? That's when I bought the AC Delco. Over a year now no problem.

Worked great.

Worked great on 03 trailblazerby. Seems like good quality. No issues so far after about 2 months being installed. I suggest changing fan clutch when doing this. Put everything back together and then fan clutch decided to go out right after install. PITA to take everything off again. Also suggest making small cut out in fan shroud to clear the radiator neck.

Works great on my 2003 TrailBlazer

Works great on my 2003 TrailBlazer. Original got 125k miles, then started leaking coolant. Make sure to also purchase ACDelco 251-2029 GM OEM metal gasket. The water pump comes with a POS paper one. You don't want to have to take your car apart twice because of a flimsy paper gasket. Do it right the first time, and enjoy driving instead of repairing things.

2002 Trailblazer

Another great part from ACDelco to replace my water pump. The internal bearings failed, causing severe vibration to come from the fan. This is an advanced job and you will need to take off several parts, so I just wanted to make a list for your convenience to consider. Some might be preventative maintenance, but it could save you from a future breakdown. Highly recommend updating the gasket with this one instead off the one included with the new water pump:

product packaging sucks. Be sure to insect the impeller before installing as mine had a nice dent in it. Other than that you cannot beat AC Delco parts. Spend a little more to get a little more. Also as others stated the gasket is garbage. Do yourself a solid and pick up "ACDelco 251-2029"

Very Good

Fits perfectly in my 2006 Trailblazer. It's a replacement part that's OEM compatible so you shouldn't have any problems with it. I also bought to go with this the ACDelco 251-2029 metal gasket because the paper gasket that came with the water pump started leaking when mounted all together.

solid pump

2004 Chevy trailblazer 4.2 liter I6. The first pump I bought from another retailer failed in 6 months. This is not a simple repair so that was frustrating. I purchased this pump from Amazon about a year ago and the pump is working as a expected. No leaks. No noise.
