• 100 LBS PULL: This powerful handheld magnet really packs a punch. It can pull up to 100 pounds of metal. Beams, doors, sheet metal, or shelving can be picked up or pulled with this magnetic lifting tool. Remember that any paint or other coverings on metallic surfaces will decrease the amount of weight that this magnet can pull.
  • COMPACT-SIZED FLAT MAGNET: This hand magnet might be small, but the design does not affect the powerful force of this handle magnet. The smaller size allows for the strong magnet to be easily stored in a tool box or tool bench. Relative to its size, this heavy-duty magnet can pull and lift a large amount of other items.
  • MULTIFUNCTIONAL: The Powerful Handle Magnet is ideal for lifting heavy metal objects. Using this magnet makes lifting sheets of metal easier. The magnet works fantastically to pull out nails from many surfaces. It can also make clean up time more efficient. Just run it over an area full of waste and ferrous metal to separate the materials and pick up the ferrous metal quickly.
  • COMFORTABLE DESIGN: The red, plastic body and ergonomic handlebar grips made of rubber make using this particular magnet easy and comfortable for any project. The magnet also includes 2 Magnetic Shields to block the attracting force when you’re not using it so it doesn’t attract other tools or metals.
  • PRODUCT DIMENSIONS: This industrial magnet weighs only 1.25 pounds, so it’s easy to tote around from one place to the next. The whole magnet is 4.5 inches long, 1 inch wide, and 3.375 inches high.

I appreciate some people who took the time to make some very technical tests but really, for the $$ I don't care if it lifts 100 lbs, if I was going to lift a 100 lb chunk of steel I'd probably get some help and lift it by hand, not with any magnet. Handy little tool, I like it and is what I expected.

The Handle Magnet lives up to its name. I use it to connect the refrigerator door to the frame so my cat can't pry it open. Now I don't have to worry about my refrigerator being open all day while I'm at work, food spoiling, etc. The magnet seems to hold with around 35-45 lbs of force, so it can definitely pick up and retain fairly heavy objects. The ergonomic handle makes it easy to position and disengage and the slide in protectors for the two magnets on the bottom work well. A very well designed product overall.

This is a handy little gadget that is easy to use and takes up little space in a toolbox. I had been recently doing some window work at the front of my house. I also replaced the two front porch lights. In doing this work I dropped all sorts of tiny stuff that fell to the ground. The front and sides of my house are covered with pine straw which surrounds the plants and bushes. Mixed in with the old pine straw is the annual addition of fresh pine straw plus leaves and other debris that accumulated over the thirty years that I have lived here. This makes it virtually impossible to find anything that is dropped into this area. One day when I was hoping to find a cap nut my wife suggested I try using a magnet. Since I did not have one but thought it was an idea worth a try (plus I am not dumb enough to tell my wife hers was a bad idea) I purchased this one. I was skeptical that this magnet would find anything but to my utter surprise it did. I am not going to claim that it found everything that had ever been dropped but it did find a number of items including the two that I dropped when swapping out the porch lights. I find this to be a worthwhile item for a modest price.

I bought this on impulse thinking it would come in handy every now and then. Boy was I wrong. I use this the pick up tool all the time and am totally impressed with its strength. So far it has not dropped a single piece and some of them are heavier than I should have used it with. It is build well the exterior is not thin and cheap they put good materials into this and you can tell that the first time you use it. Everyone should have one of these.

I bought this for grinding sides and edges on custom knifes and it works fantastic. The tool holds on to my knifes and only requires a twisting and lifting motion to break the magnetic contact. This tool fits my hands great, its easy to use and the fit and finish is very good. I don't ever want to go back to not using this magnet, my hands are now out of the way and the risk of contact with a fast moving 36 grit sanding belt is greatly reduced. I highly recommend using this magnet.

I have a fire pit in the backyard where sometimes wood with nails, screws, staples, brads, etc are burned. I used to just dig around with a stick and pull out what I found after the fire was cool. With this magnet I just roamed the magnet over the fire pit and I couldn't believe how many rusty bits of metal came out. The metal bits held on perfectly and came out of the ashes easily. I then used it over a section of gravel I have near a fence and found several more large nails! Only minor downside is that some of the dirt has some iron in it, so it would also stick to the magnet and it got quite dirty by the time I was done. Cleaning wasn't that easy because of the magnetism.

I bought this mainly for picking up the dust from steel wool when I used it on my woodworking projects. The magnet is very powerful and the plastic case provides a comfortable grip that looks nice and is easy to clean. Be advised that it is a relatively small item, so don't think it is big and heavy like some other industrial sized magnets. It is smaller than the palm of my hand. The price makes it a great bargain.

I had been looking for a heavy duty powerful magnet to help me with finding any loose nails after we tore a building down and it seemed every where I looked everyone wanted an outrageous price for theirs. Off to my trust Amazon for my purchase. When I received it I was sure to keep it away from my wallet as I did not want the magnet to mess with any credit cards I had in there..haha. This little magnet really has the force let me tell you!!! I am not completely sure if it picks up 100 times it's weight but it surely sufficed for what I needed it for. I was pulling up nails, screws, from idk how many years in the underlying soil where our building was. I was really impressed at how well this worked to be such a light handheld magnet. And for the price... Oh you can't beat it. I had seen other magnets like this but were only available ship to store and quite honestly why would I waste the gas to go get it , when I could have it delivered to my door?? I did just that and couldn't be happier.

Bought this to do some cleanup after a roofing project. The roofers had, of course, used their big, wheeled magnet to get up the bulk of the nails, etc., but I got this for getting inside some of the bushes and a little closer to the foundation of the house. This little guy picked up all manner of things that had clearly been hiding around the house for years. It's surprisingly strong, and all manner of rusted nails, screws, and bits of metal were snatched right up.

I got this for a particular project, where I was doing work on the main circuit breaker board in my home which required removing the front cover of it. Since I didn't know how close that cover was to the live 240 volt feed going into the board, I needed a tool that would allow me to securely remove the cover while it was being insulated from me just in case the cover touched the 240 volt feeds. After I removed the cover, I was able to see the feeds and It turned out they were in deep sockets that would have prevented the high voltage connections from touching the cover, even if it had brushed up against the area they were in (and thanks to whatever GE engineer who designed that it way). Never the less, I am glad I invested in the handle because it was ironclad insurance against getting a lethal shock when I was doing work in an area where it was impossible to see if there were risks.
