5 years later still working like day 1

I purchased this to have one of my own. I was working in a shop that had 3 of these and did a lot of mobile refrigeration work. The ones that the shop had purchased had some issues with the digits on the display not always working. I have had mine for over 5 years and no complaints yet. I like how its all self contained close the lid and you can slide in in a tool box or stack it into a cabinet until you need it again.

This is a scale that just works. I don't have to deal with all the new wireless crap to check how much freon I am putting in/ taking out of my tanks. It is robust and easy to carry around, and it stays on indefinitely (the most important feature in my opinion). Obviously, if you are in this industry you will know that this is the standard as far as refrigerant scales go. Be safe and honest out there guys!

Good for new fridges

My two fridges dies simultaneously, so I went online, wrote down numbers of appliance techs and started calling. The best quote I got from an AC technician was $180 for hypothetical charging of both fridges. I stopped by at the local AC supply store and picked a 30 lbs tank of 134a refrigerant and looked at the scales they had in stock. The best resolution I could get was 1/4oz. However, these new fridges use very little gas; e.g. my new LG fridge had only 4.94oz charge listed on the boilerplate. All of these scales where manufactured by a local business and much more expensive than stuff I found online. However, most scales I found online were also 1/4oz resolution, not suitable for such a small charge. So I was happy to find this scale, because it's accurate down to 1/10oz. I charged the fridge by the seat of my pants just to get it going till the new scale arrives. It arrived two days later and I used it to charge the fridge. It tared itself quickly and measured the drop of weight of the 30 lbs tank and the hose. I added a little extra freon to account for leakage during hose disconnection at the Shraeder valve. Very happy with the valve, I wished I bought it earlier when I charged AC in my car.

My old 9010 scale lasted about 20 years or so and used a lot and still works but an led bar in the display quit working so I bought a new one, these are very accurate, dependable and durable.

and an Easy Seal tube paid for it self with one charge

Although expensive I purchased this to measure the amount of refrigerant I was adding to my AC-Heat Pump system. Because I had a slow leak each year it would cost $200-$300 to have someone recharge the unit. The purchase of Freon, Gauges, this Scale, and an Easy Seal tube paid for it self with one charge. This scale works really well for Freon, but I also use it for anything else I want to measure accurately!

Best scale I've ever owened

Great scale. The best feature is the handheld reader screen which you can place in a more convenient place so that it can be read easily once you have something loaded onto the scale. The scale can be removed and put put back into the box easily, it is not attached to the carrying case. It does not turn off after not being used for a while, which was perfect for my extended periods of use when monitoring amounts of butane leaving the cylinder. Anyone with a bad review got a defective product. Mine has been in heavy use for nearly 3 years.

I did a crap load of research before buying. Search no more this scale is very accurate and dependable. I ve used it on critical charges like commercial refrigeration as well as automotive and residential A/C..I most liked the fact the LCD readout never shuts off or reset on me while I was working. also it always displayed the correct weight and didn't float around even with minor temperature variations in the environment. Very accurate.

Well worth the money

I am a refrigeration tech and have been using the hell out of these. They sit on a shelf in the vans which bounce around all day and still perform their job perfectly when needed which for me is 1- 3 times per day. I have dropped them, stepped on them and dropped ladders and such on them by mistake of course ;-) Durable, rugged and accurate. We have many in the company and frequently check them against each other. BTW mine was delivered sooner than expected

Great refrigeration scale!

Love this refrigeration scale. Very easy to set up and use. If you need a scale, I highly recommend this scale. I've had this in daily service for a little over a month with no issue's.

Super accurate and very sensitive to changing weight

Really like how accurate and easy to use this tool is. Simple button for zeroing it out etc, another for selecting the weight scale, pounds and ounces for example. Really well made, steel used on the scale frame and very well insulated feet, feels very solid and it measures very accurately across its entire scale plate if you use it to weight smaller items for example.
