I love Irwin already and these just show why
I've always loved Irwin products had the same Irwin channel locks since I was 10 I'm 21 now lol and judging by the way these cutters look (very durable and heavy duty) I'm gonna have them just as long I've only used them a few times for stripping wire and they stripped the wire first try didn't cut in to far got just the plastic coating I noticed cheap ones like cutting strands of wire with the plastic my favorite thing that I didn't even notice in the picture, but the way the crimper is at the tips you can use them as pliers if need be I like using them for stubborn fuses in my car.

Great Wire strippers for the great price! Other companies just put their name on it and sell it for 3 times more.
Great wire strippers for it's Price! I've paid $21 for other brand and about $8 for this wire strippers. They came together - and I couldn't find any difference, besides of the rubber handles color. So don't be fooled with the higher price for the "brand name" - They are identical, Why pay more?

... old pair for many years but this tool is great so far
I cannot compare to other multi tools of similar nature as until recently I've used an old pair for many years but this tool is great so far. It is supposed to cut, strip, and crimp - that is exactly what it does and it does it very well. Between the low price (compared to similar tools), the nice brand, and great performance, this is a great value. Cutting - the easiest cut I've experienced. It's effortless and I'm pretty sure my 90 year old grandmother with arthritis could still cut wires with this. Stripping - the various different wire gauges are labeled well and makes it easy for anyone to choose the proper level (assuming they know their wire gauge). Crimping - Crimping is easy with this tool. I'm not a crimping expert but it appears that there's two crimping areas. Regardless of my own inexperience crimping, I was able to crimp butt connectors very easily and correctly. Highly recommend these for the cost and quality involved.

I've been doing a lot of small installation projects in my apartment so this tool is great. I've only used the screw cutter so far but i can say this tool is great. I'm a 115lb woman and i was unsure if i would be able to cut through the screw but it was fairly easy. I look forward to using the wire trimmer when i install my new thermostats.

Only strippers to order. :)
Awesome wire strippers. I bought these for a stocking stuffer for the husband unit as one of those "tool" gifts I can use too. These are the best wire strippers I've ever used besides some old classics from my grandfather that can no longer be purchased. These are nice, shard, and well aligned so it doesn't take a lot of effort or carefulness to use. Carefree striping. :) These are nice and small enough to work in all kinds of different applications: cars, micro-controllers, house wiring, and so much more. It's the perfect pair for all you needs. These are the strippers you are looking for.

Great for cutting screws
I purchased this with the only reason being I had to cut a few screws shorter than they were because I made a custom coat rack using cabinet pulls. It had come out nice until I realized the screws on the back would be pushing into the wall. Oops, major oversight. So I was googling about how people do this all the time if the screws stick out so far and found out that yes, you can shorten them and it's actually very easy. All you need is one of these tools. They have screw cutters built in, in various sizes, that let you slice through wickedly thick screws with barely any effort at all. I was shocked how well it worked. Of course yes it strips wires and cuts them and does a bunch of other stuff that I have no idea what it's for or how to use it. But for the simple reason of cutting screws, this was a cheap, awesome way to get it done fast with no mess. No metal shavings from sawing through them, just pop and the end of the screw is off. And it makes sure that it leaves it threaded and not pinched so you can still thread a nut onto it as well. Genius product, at an awesome price. Highly recommend.

What a great stripper!
Irwin generally does a great job with its tools, and this one is an example of a well-made stripper. And trust me - I know strippers. This stripper feels great in the hand, strips-on-command, it's a lot sharper than most strippers you encounter, its hinge is a perfect tension, and it never hangs around looking for a tip. Nicely done!

Works very well!
Bought these to replace some wire cutters I've had since the 70's (you read that right). These cutters work very well and I really appreciate the sharp cutting edges for the wire (yeah, I know, the ones from the 70's probably were a little dull). My only "complaint", if you want to call it that, is that these are a little stiff - but they're new, right? Anyway, not stiff enough to lower the rating and I do expect they'll loosen up with use. Excellent value for the price!

My nomination for best-all-around at a low cost
I own several tools that fall into the "stripper crimper wire-cutter" category; this IRWIN VISE-GRIP six-incher is my favorite. It's well designed and the coated handles will generate quite a 'squeeze.' I like the way the measuring holes for wire stripping and cutting are incorporated into a pliers-like point. It's inexpensive and fairly sturdy. I'm not much for crimping, which may be the function this particular model does worst. Still, I've had it for years and it's almost always the one I reach for.

Great stripper/crimper for the price
VISE-GRIP as always exceeds expectations, you can tell this is a quality product when you pick it up. - Doing a van conversion and had a lot of wires and butt connectors to crimp, this did the job well (however if you need a lot of crimping I would suggest investing $25 in a good ratchet crimper as your hands will get tired) Have a feeling this will be one of those tools that stays at the top of my chest and gets pulled out at any electrical project, extremely happy with the cost and quality. Recommend to anyone doing DIY electrical
