The Belkins Survived While Others Did Not
Review for Belkin 6-Outlet Commercial Power Strip Surge Protector: We recently had an electrical surge make it into our home. Not too surprising since we live rurally in an area that has lots of power outages. We have everything plugged into surge protector strips or UPCs. When the surge came three very high quality (expensive) surge protectors burnt up. Fortunately the fires were contained mostly within the units. The capacitor for our deep water well also got fried. One wall circuit breaker had to replaced. Another one popped but is still good. What survived the surge were a bunch of inexpensive Belkin power strip/surge protectors and the UPC units that are all APC units. Because of that I ordered three of these inexpensive Belkins to replace the pricey name brand strips that fried on account of the surge. Given that experience, I can recommend Belkin power strips like this one reviewed.

Thank you mr 6-outlet surge protector with 6-feet cord industrial designer.
Belkin and I have had some disagreements, but this, this is beautiful. I saw a lot of reviews say it does not have a flat plug in, as of the time of this review the one I ordered did indeed. And to my pleasant surprise, it swivels around as well!!!! Incredible. The on/off toggle was also very rigid and not likely to get bumped off/on due to its placement and rigidity. Well done. Make good things Belkin. High five to the industrial designer on this one.

I would buy more if I needed them.
I love this thing I have two. I bought the first one awhile back because our bed sit against the plug and would bend the cord for our cell phone chargers and other plugs like our window A/C unit and seasonal christmas lights didn't reach. I originally had a normal extension cord but like I said it stuck out too far and it was being bent. This cord lays flat against the wall and rotates to where you need it. Ours on my husband's side sits more the bottom right. I got another one for my side of the bed for there is another outlet on my side behind the bed. For my phone charger I would put it in the wall plug and shove the rest under the mattress. Then I found out that is not a good idea. I then needed to plug in my laptop cord and humidifier cord but of course ran out of space. So I got this device to keep my cords safe and unbent while also getting extra outlets. At first when I got it I thought I was broken because it wasn't charging my phone then I realized there is an on/off switch. The only thing I don't like about it is that the cord is actually really long. But then again that works great for my husband's side of the bed since it goes around the night stand.

Swivel plug?? Warranty?? AWESOME!!!
So this is my first Belkin heavy duty surge protector.. I got this for my Alienware laptop, dell monitor, Ugee 19" Graphics Monitor, clip on desk fan and external hard drive. I have been using it now for over a week and it works great. it is cool to the touch after it has been in use for hours and does not feel like it overheats at all. The cord is a bit thicker than what I expected but I guess that is why it is heavy duty. This is certainly not a down side. The thing that really was a huge decision factor for me was the Belkin Lifetime Warranty and $15,000 Connected Equipment Warranty. Seriously? This is fantastic! I do not have any reservations about plugging my expensive devices into this thing. I love the 360 degree swivel on the plug as well. I would purchase this again 10 times over!

perfect surge protector
i love this surge protector. i never thought they were something i would have strong feelings about, but it turns out i do. this one is great because it has a flat plug so it doesn't take up a ton of space behind your shelf (or whatever else) and there is no annoying bright light. i have it plugged in behind my bed and attached to the back of my nightstand so i can easily plug my chargers in and out without having to crawl around on the ground. with the flat plug i didn't have to move my bed out from the wall. and since it doesn't have a light i don't have an ugly orange "night light" near by bed like i got with my previous strip.

This is great for furniture covering outlets!!!
We are using this surge cord behind a large, tall dresser that only has about .75" of give between it and the wall. The flat design of the plug allows the dresser to sit right against the wall and not bend the cord, or require furniture to be pulled out from the wall due to a stiff power strip cord. So this is an unusual review, because it is also my Public Service Announcement. We have two small children and have attached all our heavy furniture to the walls with Safety 1st Wall Straps so that there is no danger of them tipping over on little ones. So my PSA: please anchor your heavy furniture to the walls, and if you have furniture that covers an outlet, consider this power strip!

Flat Plug Power strip surge protector
This Belkin power strip surge protector isn't high quality nor does the price reflect that. I can't comment as to the protection that it will provide, I simply need a power strip that had a low profile (flat plug) that inserted into the outlet. My outlet is behind a nightstand which required the night stand to sit around 4" away from the wall. Now with this, the nightstand can sit almost right up against the floor board trim which is about where it would be without using the outlet. I like the orientation of the outlets on this strip as well. We are using it in a kids room with a light and a clock plugged into it.

Those who don’t like this plug can “socket” :)
This product seems to receive polarizing reviews. From the customer pics, it seems to be only the white model that people are complaining about. I have several of the models in black and these things are amazing. The flat plug head that swivels is perfect for those sneaky sockets that love to hide behind sofas, dressers and underneath entertainment centers. One of my Belkins is powering game consoles, a tv and a PC running virtual reality.

Serial buyer
I can't stop buying these. Have only purchased the 6-foot ones and they all have the swivel head plug - which is precisely why I buy them. Our outlets are old and with a large plug in one section, it's impossible to plug in anything else in the other one - except this Belkin strip outlet. The plug also is slim and flat which is convenient for tight spaces. I'm especially pleased that there is NO light. There are enough LED lights on everything else and I don't need more illumination of anything. Besides anyone could tell soon enough if the switch were turned off.

Great surge protector with outstanding functionality.
Some background, I currently work in an IT department for an aerospace firm in southern California. One of my duties is to test hardware and devices prior to deploying them to our users. This power strip performs as good as it looks. It features a swivable plug and a switch at the top side of the surge protector. The placement of the switch on the side of the surge protector is extemely well thought out. Other surge protectors have the switch on top, next to the additional plugs, which have the frequency of the user unintentionally turning off the surge protector when another plug is plugged in. I would highly recommend this surge protector for the cost per plug, functionality, and style.
