This stuff made SUCH a difference in breastfeeding for me! I breastfed my first child and used all the lanolin for weeks as I cried because of the pain of having cracked nipples. I can barely remember when they healed but it felt like forever. With my second child I purchased this before she was born and by the end of my first week breastfeeding her using this nipple butter I was no longer in pain even though I experienced the same cracks as I did with my son, they healed much faster. I still have plenty left over -if there is any concern that this is so expensive for such a small amount- it's more than enough!

Buy this. Seriously, buy it. Don't leave it in your shopping cart and deliberate... I attended a breastfeeding class prior to having my first baby in July. The LC said there was no need to buy any creams or ointments, that simply expressing some milk on the nipple or using a dab of coconut oil would be good enough - wrong. Thank goodness this was a Prime item! This was so wonderful the first few weeks while adjusting to breastfeeding, and buying the 3 pack was nice because I could keep one in the nursery, one in my room, and one in the diaper bag. It really got me through the difficult time, at about 2 months into breastfeeding I find I no longer need to use it and have plenty left in each container. From time to time I'll still use a small amount for added softness.

This is the only reason that I am still breastfeeding. What no one tells you is that it hurts. A lot. I know everyone says if it hurts something wrong. But my daughter's latch was fine and had no ties. It just hurts. I was told to use this before and after I fed her and that was the game changer. I've started buying the three pack and keep it everywhere. No cracking just wonderful.

I'm a new mom and the first couple days of breast feeding were rough. Sore cracked nipples and a hungry baby boy made for painful feedings. I was not prepared for this! The hospital gave me some samples of the medela lanolin creme and it was not helping at all. I got desperate and started looking on Amazon. I ordered The Earth mama brand seeing all the positive reviews and I'm so glad I did!!! I did not have the grainey experience as a few other reviewers did. The smell is pleasant however my son does not care for the taste as much so I just wipe it off before feedings. I will be getting this for all my future nursing mom friends as baby shower gifts! Additionally if you experience what I went through try getting the gell nipple pads and bamboo reusable nursing bra pads (all found on Amazon) The disposable pads cause your nipples to dry out so the bamboo is the only way to go and the gel pads feel amazing especially after you put them in the refrigerator.

I've been using this for about a month now, exclusively breast feeding and on demand. I tried using the lanolin that the hospital offered, but this stuff just seems to work better. Like other reviewers, I noticed the little grains in it, but they disappear as you apply it. I wouldn't say my daughter was a natural breast feeder either, it took some practice for us to get it right. There were some blisters from her pulling off, but no chapping or cracks otherwise. I think it seriously saved my nipples. I would suggest this for sure.

Great Product

I love this stuff. I used it after every feeding for months and did not have substantial issues with dryness or any cracking at all. My baby did have issues with latching (tongue tie), so I do think this helped keep the girls in good shape. It does have a slight scent, so I did not start using it for a couple days to make sure it didn't affect my baby learning my scent, but she's never seemed bothered by it at all, even if she's eaten shortly after an application.

Perfect moisturizer after pumping. I recommend placing the jar in a shallow bowl of warm (not hot) water for ten minutes before using, to liquefy the rough bits into perfection. And no----never, never, NEVER try warming it in the microwave. You could be badly burned or worse. Just get warm water from the tap and let the little closed jar float for a few minutes.

Nipple, Lip, & Diaper butter!

I purchased this initially as nipple butter, which I loved much more than lanolin for the baby to digest. It has a mild pleasant smell as well with a calming effect. I kept it by my bedside and one night I couldn't find my bedside chapstick and figured it could go in its place - loved how moist my lips felt in the morning and stopped having chapped winter lip issues! Then a month later I could not find the desitin during a diaper change. My baby had developed a skin chafing buildup on one inner thigh which hadn't gone away for a month despite diligent care and cleaning. I applied a thin coat of this for the next day worth of diaper changes and noticed the skin healing. By a few more days it was all healed! I never went back to desitin, this is my go to and requires a much thinner coat so the small canister lasts longer than a tube of desitin. I reordered this instead of the earth butter diaper cream (which I have never tried) because it serves 3 purposes-nipple, lip, and diaper cream!

Great for sore nipples from breastfeeding

This balm is incredible. So much better than the sticky Lansinoh balm they give you at the hospital. It also keeps the nursing pads from sticking/ chafing if you have sore nipples from nursing. Also - it's all natural ingredients so you don't have to wash it off before nursing. All around great stuff, and one jar lasts forever.

This saved me. I had such a hard time nursing at the start and everything else I tried just didn't ever seem to heal me at all. As soon as I bought this and used it, I healed so fast and this honestly took so much pain away! The start of nursing usually doesn't hurt at all or only lasts a few weeks, but this product really made nursing so much better. I also love that it's not greasy. Other products like Medela, left stains on my clothes, sheets, and even managed to get into my dogs fur. This cream was smooth but did not leave any permanent stains. I love that you get 2 jars too! I only used most of 1 jar, and now expecting again, I will use my second jar! Highly recommend, really was amazing and I love that it is all natural.
