I love both this Bed Buddy Hot Microwave Wrap for any neck issues. I give them away to friends all the time (yes, really. Then I just order another one for me). The much larger Bed Buddy Cold Wrap is always in my Freezer for any Back Issues. The secret to this product is to only use each one for either Hot or Cold, You can't microwave these and then put them back in the freezer. They kind of get icky then very quickly. Keep the size you like for the microwave and go crazy and buy another size for the freezer. Trust me, I've loved this product for years and truly have bought many many of them for family and friends.

Moist heat eases inflammation and pain...

I will have to say I am a huge fan of the bed buddy! I have had back pain for the past 15+ years from a few bulging discs and they can be a pain in the back side to the point that walking and standing is painful. Long story short, I don't know what I would do with out my moist heat. This product does have a slight smell to it when warmed up since it's basically rice grains in a sock material (I pop mine in the microwave for the maximum 2 minutes)... but the comfort that it brings is well worth the odd smell any day. Moist heat is 1000 times better for inflammation than a electric heating pad, which is dry heat. I love mine so much that I have a back up one and I bought one each for my parents and their aches and pains too.

Great heat pack!

I love this heat pack and have bought it multiple times. I recently bought this for my dad as he struggles with neck problems and he loves it. It is not too wide so it fits perfectly around a neck. The line sewn down the center helps to distribute the rice evenly, so it doesn't all gather at the bottom when using it, and the rope handles make carrying it very easy. I have not found a great way to wash it, so eventually it does get dirty and somewhat smelly, but I was able to use it for a couple of years before I needed to replace it. This is definitely one of the best heat packs that I have used.

I had a previous incarnation of the Bed Buddy for over 10 years before it died. I purchased this one for a friend knowing it would be long-lasting, easy to use and inexpensive. It's long enough to use pretty much anywhere it's needed. I just wish it came with some kind of velcro device, wrapped around the handles, that would allow it to be stay put instead of having to hold it in place. Since it's white, over time it will discolor to a tan color and get a little dirty. I sewed a tie and a case for my friend's Bed Buddy to keep it in place and help keep it clean.

Best product I’ve found to heat for my neck/shoulders

Could not find this product locally where I had previously purchased My Bed Buddy neck wrap. Can’t go to sleep without it. First one was given to me after cervical surgery. It was somewhat less $ on Amazon.

So good I had to buy 2 because my daughter took mine

My five year old daughter kept stealing it and wouldn't give it back (yes I actually gave it to her but it was so sweet how much she loved it) so finally I bought a second one. I mean how can you not at this price!! I had another one that was full of rice that I really liked and we lost it when we moved (I figured I'd find it right after I bought the new one as usually happens) and I was worried I might not like this one as much because I'm not really sure what's in it? Regardless, I do like the filling as much as the rice, and the smell when warmed is very pleasant although I might like the rice just a slight bit more. The rice bag I had also had a slightly nicer cover on it. However, all of these things given, the rice bag costs 3 times as much and if I still had it, I'd be out a rice bag anyway because my five year old would have requisitioned it! As with all of these things you want to proceed with caution during the initial warm-ups until you get the hang of how it's going to behave in your microwave. All microwaves are different. Mine I can go 2 minutes then keep adding 30 seconds until it feels right but I have a lower powered microwave oven that has inverter on it (supposedly it heats more evenly...that seems to be the case with this bag). Either way this thing is great for the price, very relaxing and good for your neck. I originally started using it because my chiropractor recommended it.

Who Knew

having 2 herniated discs in my lower back and 2 in my neck I am a total heating pad fan. I was visiting family out of state and they didn't have a heating pad and I didn't want to pack one because...flying... but my sis-in-law had this homemade field corn neck wrap thing-a-ma-jig and suggested I try that for my neck pain. Honestly, I thought it was pretty stupid and worthless but I needed something for my aching neck so I thought I would give it a try. HOLY!! Did that stupid thing help! I came home from my trip and jumped on Amazon to find this awesome-ness. I don't know why it works better on my neck pain than a heating pad... Maybe it's because the heat is also on the side vs just the back? It just works. No wires. I pop this in the microwave for a 1.5 mins and BAM. Instant relief. It also helps warm you up if you are chilled and this may or may not have also been used on my cold feet in bed lol.

As a migraine and tension headache sufferer, this has been invaluable in helping me deal with the frequent, debilitating headaches in conjunction with medication. Excellent Neck Pain Relief !

Wonderful relief from neck pains caused by stress and/or muscle strain. Both Wife and Daughter were very impressed with the quick action of the cooling effect when the Bed Buddy was placed in the freezer at ZERO degrees F. Rings on the ends of the Bed Buddy make it easy to hold in place or carry. Excellent relief from cold Winter drafts, too ! Worked so well that I bought another one so that one could be freezing while the other one was being worn, which turned out to be a really good idea.

Works like a charm

I had to jump in here after ordering this and chime in. There is nothing wrong with this product. I received it and while it looked slightly different, and felt different then the original bed buddy (as seen on tv product), it still works just as good. I have a modern day microwave that has been purchased in the last 2 years (we upgraded appliances) and I placed the bed buddy in the microwave for the recommended time of 90 seconds. It comes out warm and SLOWLY gets a little hotter as the seeds inside start to warm up a bit. I think the problem all these bad reviewers are having is they are putting it in more then 90 seconds, because its not as hot right away like the original bed buddy or they are dumb. I tend to think its just them being impatient and thinking its not hot enough, not dumb. Anyhow solid product, I would easily recommend it to anyone.
