Perfect kitchen shears. Yeah, it doesn't have all the do-dads for opening jars/bottles etc...it does one job exceptionally well. IT CUTS! The micro serrated blades grab anything you're cutting so the sharp blades zip right through any item you're cutting. They come apart to allow easy cleaning. They are also handy for cutting small rope, blister packed items, and I even used it to cut drip system tubing...get this beast, they will serve you well

I bought these 2 years ago and am repurchasing now. I have no idea where they went but my guess is that my son accidentally threw them away. I have a pair that came with my cutlery set but they don't come apart so I only use them for dry goods, veggies, etc. I always used these for meat packaging and meats-or anything that I feel needs to be sanitized off after use. These come apart and I just plop them into the dishwasher silverware basket. I would say I've washed these in the dishwasher at least 4 days per week for the last 2 years and they were still perfect. No rust, no excessive wear. Not sure why some people show rust-maybe a difference in water or detergent> I use the dishpacks-any brand. I also use the dry function in my dishwasher so that water does not remain sitting on everything overnight. I highly recommend these-very convenient, well made and effective. I also love the herb stripper. I don't use fresh herbs very often but when I do, the scissors function very well for that.

My hands are small for a guy and I can just get all four finger into the scissors. Many people will probably have to have their pinky out but there is no pinky grip. Overall, these scissors are not the best fit for me but they are ok. They cut quite well and wash up quite easy. They came damaged so they gave them to me for free. I don't think these would be good for hours and hours of use but they are good for me.

This pair of shears make kitchen tasks easy, start to finish. Blades are sharp so I find it easy to cut and trim meat, fish, and of course veg and herbs. The inner teeth for pulling herbs off stem is a nice feature. The inner part of the handles are soft and is easy on my hands as I grip. I love that it conveniently comes apart for easy cleaning and drying! All for an affordable price. Curious to see how it'll do over time - so far it's been my favorite pair of kitchen shears!

Had to replace a different brand of kitchen shears that came as part of a wedding present 10 years ago. My wife was hesitant to get a pair that weren't from the same brand as she had liked those so much but fell in love with them quickly. These were a recommendation from the folks at The Sweethome and based on this I'd take their advice again in a heartbeat - [...]

It cuts just as well as any cooking scissor out there. The pull apart handles make it easy to clean for maximum sanitary use. No more build up of bacteria and meat/food under the blade that you can't scrub away with a normal scissor. I also have larger hands and it is easy for me to use, my fiance has small hands and has no problem using them either. Great product.

What a difference! This pair of scissors cut meat easily. Easy to clean. Good quality control. Agree with the instruction for not putting into the dishwasher. A little elbow grease makes the pair of scissors last much longer (appreciate OXO for for not "putting dishwasher-safe" on its instruction to attract for more potential buyers). Also, good to be able to separate the blades for thorough cleaning overtime! Recommend.

Once again, OXO comes through with a product much greater than industry standards; I love these scissors! They keep things simple, as should be. After about 15-years of service, the scissors that were included in our Zwilling/Henckle knife set gave up the ghost. Impressed by the longevity of those scissors, we ordered a like pair of scissors only to find the quality had left, and the so-called stainless steel is now rusting junk. We tried another pair of "chef's" scissors, but were disappointed in that the scissors were not able to be disassembled - what a joke - not for kitchen work. Along comes OXO. Great, sharp blades that have a tight fit against one another, so paper cuts with a great certainty. The handles on OXO scissors are fantastic! So comfortable, soft, and roomy. Hands down, a great pair of scissors.

These work great and are a real work horse when cutting up chicken. Now it's not like cutting through butter but it's 1000% better than just about chef's knife in my opinion. One blade has a fine serrated edge that helps to grip that unruly bird. I find it to be a bit of a one trick pony but hey when you need it to dance it sure boogies.

I needed a second pair of kitchen scissors. We purchased both these and the more expensive ones recommended by America's Test Kitchen. I liked these better. The other, more expensive, these are also high quality and the other (ATK's recommend) kept falling apart, while they liked that for cleaning purposes - these clean up just fine and WAY less money and even more comfortable on the hands.
