Meant to order one with multiple plug inputs and not just one. However I needed this anyway! A too short electrical strip has been annoying me for a year now and this wonderful item has resolved my problem. Best accidental purchase ever.

All you can really expect of something like this is when you plug it into the wall and you plug your appliance into the other end is that it works -- and it does! The only other thing I can really add was that I was a little worried about how stiff/bendable the cord might be since the existing reviews gave mixed signals on that aspect of the cable. In my opinion, I did not find it to be too stiff at all. If it were a stiff cord, it would probably quickly expand from it's form once you remove the cardboard label, but it's not that way at all. It slid off easily and the cord held its form. It also wasn't difficult to bend it around the back of a bed which is where I am using it.

There's not much to say here. It's a black extension cord that can extend any 3-pronged (grounded) cable an additional 8-feet. The cord is a thick 16/3 gauge and sturdy. It can accommodate power up to 13 amps/ 125 volts/ 1625 watts. It's UL certified and meets OSHA standards. It will do its job well. Recommended.

Just what I needed. I have some lights outside that need power, but when they were plugged into the outlet, I found they had to be moved closer to reach it. Now I can have my lights where I want them and still get power to them without licking my hands and holding the bare wires while inserting my fingers into the outlet. The drawbacks: a) I no longer have to lick my hands and hold the bare wires, so now I guess I have to get my thrills the old way, by sticking my fingers in light sockets. 2) The electrons now have to travel an extra 8 feet, which would take them about 3 extra minutes to reach the lights, if this was a DC power system. iii) Most people won't get the second drawback.

It's a power cable! i would not recommend using this in an uncovered outdoor area or an area where it will be subject to being stepped on or driven over. Perfect for household for reaching that one outlet that your lights are attached to.

Heavy duty 3-Prong (grounded) plug - male on one end, female on the other. Heavy 16 gauge conductors so I can plug pretty much any 110V appliance into it without worry. The 8 foot length is ideal for most around-the-house applications. Compared against similar items, I selected this one based on price and functionality, and I have no complaints.

Great extension cords and super cheap when bought in singles as an add on. I bought 3 single cords for $13.50--yet the 2 pack was $14.75 so buying the singles as add ons is the way to go. Fantastic price for a 3 prong extension cord.

I live in a retirement community where one can go nearly everywhere in a golf cart, including the golf course. Having tried numerous cords to recharge the cart, which lives in my garage, I found that all of them were getting uncomfortably warm. With this cord, I can plug in the charger, leave it on overnight, and the cord is still at ambient air temperature to the touch the next morning. I trust it much more than the standard orange cords one can buy at the big box warehouse type stores.

These extension cords can certainly handle general-purpose use at home or in a workshop. They are well-made and function perfectly. I bought a couple, one to replace an inexpensive extension cord that would not consistently make a good connection with a travel surge protector and the other to use with a vacuum cleaner to avoid having to change outlets. They are 8 ft. (2.4 m) long and have an outside diameter of 5/16 in. They are covered in smooth black vinyl that is non-marking. The connectors are sturdy and have ridges for a good grip and heavy strain relievers for a long life. The female connector has a tab to prevent a grounded three-wire male plug from being inserted incorrectly. The gauge is 16/3. They are rated as SJTW for hard service and outdoor use and can accommodate up to 13 amps / 125 volts / 1625 watts. They are UL certified and meet OSHA standards. The Woods brand has been owned by Coleman Cable since 2007 and Coleman became part of Southwire in 2014. These extension cords were made in Indonesia.

These are very high quality and rugged. Far superior to the flimsy types sold in most hardware stores, they are a must have for home or work. I have a corner of my workshop saved for 'must have' items, and I keep the 8 and 15 foot versions there. When you really need one of these to fix a problem, you don't want to waste time sorting through your stacks of stuff to find them About the same cost as the cheaply made ones, plus I really appreciate that great big "Made in the USA" they come with.
