This product is a big sheet of plastic. If you place it on the floor or cover something with it, it will keep paint, dust and other materials off of your surfaces. This is what it is intended for, and it performs the function nicely. It is thin plastic, so if you are thinking of using it for a slip and slide, a substitute for a car window, a camping tent, roofing material or some other silly thing you should not buy it. It is not intended for those purposes. I used the Painter's Plastic to keep wet popcorn ceiling texture from dripping all over my carpet and furniture and it worked great. If you're painting, sanding, removing texture or generally dripping or dropping stuff and want to minimize your clean up, use this fine product!

I hung it on the walls and floor of my garage while I painted my truck. Held up very good, even while walking on it for a couple days. Obviously got a couple rips in the floor but I taped them up and kept going. Covered my whole garage and still have some left over.

Great product to cover 'stuff'. I clean kitchen exhaust hoods and use this to cover the kitchen so I do not shower the kitchen with my grease-cutting chemical or the hot water I use to rinse it. It saves me a lot of time for clean up and helps me look more professional by respecting my client's property. I have purchased this several times and will again.

great product for many used the last roll was used for painting, overnight frost protecting a garden, moving a homemade bookshelf in a snow storm for a Christmas gift, and as a liner in my trailer to haul grass and compost.

This stuff is perfect for protecting all your other surfaces, and the price is great. I saw the exact same stuff at a big box store for over $50. As some reviewers have commented, it is thin but sturdy enough. I had no problems with it running/breaking.

Just what is needed. Inexpensive sheet plastic.

If you need a lot of thin plastic, for painting or just protecting your workspace/carpet or other flooring this is a huge box of plastic. It's thin, and easy to tape up, the box is fairly small for easy storage. Works well. Seriously what more can you say about a box of painters plastic.

We had painters coming and 5 rooms to cover, most of the bags of drop sheeting we found at our small local hardware store were in packs of four, and were actually pretty expensive. We weren't able to make it to the nearest Home Depot to see if they had any options. Amazon's selection seemed pretty similar to the hardware store in terms of smaller quantities that I'm sure are targeted to homeowners that are painting on their own (and not needing to cover for when professional painters are coming and doing multiple rooms in a short period of time-- the painters had advised that as long as everything was 2-3ft from the walls everything would be fine and that we didn't need to cover anything....pft, I don't trust that!) So when we found this it seemed like an awesome deal! You can choose the length you need and we have plenty left for any other painting projects we may have! Yes the plastic is thin, but it does the trick! Has some give, so it doesn't tear instantly (I didn't test its strength very much. But there's enough stretch to lightly stretch it over corners of furniture to get it to stay in place)

It’s a very thin plastic but it’s works for my purposes- I covered the walls in my shed to protect from paint over spray - I paint furniture. Plus I have a lot left to use for other things.

I would have purchased tape n drape if it came in a size that fit this particular job. In this case we'll be sanding cathedral ceilings and need to close off a space approximately 20ft high and 12ft square. From the feel of this product it will do the job perfectly since it is light weight and even 20ft lengths will be easily held in place with blue painter's tape. If you are looking for a heavy duty "tarp like" material this is not the product for you but if you just need to close off a space or cover something with a truly disposable drop cloth this will do the job nicely.
