My kids love these high quality puzzles. We've been using M&D puzzles since my oldest son was a baby, that was 10 years ago. We purchased this set of puzzles for my boy in the middle who received therapy at home a year ago, they were really helpful for him to develop occupational skills. Now my third and last child, who is a toddler, enjoys them too. The pieces are tough to fade away if stored properly after playing with them.

We love our set. My twins were able to learn their colors in about two days with this! they must have been about 19-20months old at the time. They are 2 now and we "play" with numbers and ABCs now. Great educational toy. Would recommend. The only thing is, its easy to lose the pieces.... we keep ours in ziplock bags but have still managed to lose our "G" somewhere, I'm sure it will show up somewhere in the house someday!

I bought these puzzles when my daughter turned 19 months old; she is now 23 months old. My husband and I wanted her to work on her fine motor skills and also thought these puzzles would be good in helping her to learn her colors, numbers and letters. She learned to solve these puzzles within a few weeks. She loves these puzzles, especially the fish and number ones. She will bring out these puzzles many times throughout the week and solve them. Also, we got three of these puzzles for under $20; the individual value of each puzzle is between $8-$10. I thought this bundle was a good deal. I recommend these puzzles for any mom with young toddlers.

Because of this toy, my son was able to quickly and easily identify his entire alphabet, numbers, and colors well before he was two. I made sure to play with it every day, and every time he picked up a puzzle piece, I just said what it was. From the day we started playing with it, it probably took him about two months to have them all memorized. But now he knows them fluently, and I credit this puzzle. I try to encourage every parent I know to get this for their child. Yes, I am that annoying mother who is overly proud of her kid. And no, I don’t care.

My son is 2 and is learning so amazing with these puzzles...they are great for his little hands and his mind...the onnnnly problem i have is the alphabet is more advanced as to actually figureing how to put the letters into their spots but hea doing way better its just a learning curve...but also the #s 6 and 9...can be used for either or so he gets a little confued..but hes 2 so its just about patients and learning totally recommend

I love Melissa and Doug puzzles, always excellent quality and are educational and can be used for over and over play. I was a little disappointed by the number and letter puzzle in this bundle. They don’t have outlines around the spaces where each piece goes.. so it’s a little difficult for my daughter to figure out which piece goes where. (She’s two, and I think they could have made this a little more age appropriate) the number one, expects her to count and then place the correct number where it goes, also identify where each piece fits, etc... (I thought this would be a good first step for her to learn to identify what each number looked like. That isn’t the case here- almost too hard for her age. ) The letter puzzle is the same way. I think the color one with the fish is age appropriate and great for little ones to learn and identify their colors

I LOVE this set of puzzles!! My son learned his colors with the fish puzzle, and it was one of the first puzzles he was able to figure out on his own. He likes to 'experiment' by putting the wrong colors together before putting them in the right place. We are working on the numbers now and it's nice that they are so big. Underneath the numbers are the same number of objects (4 mice under the 4) and written beneath the number pieces is the word ('four'). It is very thorough and helpful for teaching. The 'weakest' of the puzzles in my opinion is the alphabet one. There are so many pieces and they're so small and easy to lose. I lost the F so long ago and have no idea where it is. Unfortunately, that means I can't teach that letter because all that is left in the hole is a fish picture (no way to show the F). The letters are also cut out in a way that isn't helpful for them when completing the puzzle (the N is just a square). Since some of the pictures are a little more advanced too (we say 'bug' but I is for 'insect'), it makes the puzzle more difficult. BUT, my son likes to pick up a letter and bring it to me when I'm doing other things and to tell me what it is, so I'm still happy to have it. He only does that with the fridge letters if I'm in the kitchen. This set is a great gift and teaching tool and I totally recommend it.

My 18 month old grandson loves these puzzles. They are durable, and he spends a lot of time taking them apart and putting them back together. He has mastered the numbers and is still working on the letters. He doesn't care that much for the colored fish ones (They are all the same shape and he hasn't figured out the colors yet). He has the barnyard one that's not included here (his first one) and he has probably taken it apart and put it back together hundreds of times.

My granddaughter is 19 mos. old and she is learning her ABC's with the help of the ABC puzzle. The same with the numbers. My daughter is working with her so when she calls out the letter or the number, my granddaughter can properly identify it and then put the letter or number where it is suppose to go. The fish puzzle does not get the same usage because it is at our house. Thank you for such great learning tools.

Great product! Did not expect anything else from Melissa and Doug!!! Bright colors but not too involved as to distract from the main task. Kid loved the puzzles. She learned her alphabet and colors from these puzzles... for some reason she did not take to the numbers as much as she did with Melissa and Dougs' clock. The pieces are sturdy although the pegs are a little small; but not a big issue as the kid can hold the entire piece and put it in without having to use the peg. The pieces come out easily as well without being too loose. Good product.
