My fiancé is Jewish and grew up eating these. We live in Idaho now and you cannot purchase them anywhere so he bought them off here to share. They are exactly how he remembers them and they came fresh!

Love it!

This is so good and feels semi-virtuous in spite of its "candy" nature. A bar is bigger than the picture leads you to believe. I limit myself to half a bar a day because of the calorie count but I do believe I could eat them all at once if I could afford a new wardrobe. They are such a treat, and this price appears reasonable to me. Since there are so many I store them in the frig.

I have been a fan of Joyva Halvah ever since I was a teenager in Chicago. Most of the time I would get the chocolate covered Halvah bars, but I also love the marble flavor. I recently purchased a big box of 36 Joyva Halvah 1.75 ounce bars on Amazon for a bargain price. I was pleasantly surprised how quickly they arrived and I immediately ate three of the bars which were fresh and delicious. I have discovered over the years that halvah is an acquired taste and that many people do not like this Mideast sesame treat. In fact, it is not always easy finding this product in most stores and this is why I have ordered them on Amazon. So Yummy!

These are so yummy! The bars taste just like they did when I was a child growing up in Manhattan. The recipe hasn't changed! The price I paid was a fair price for the number of bars I received. Best to order these during the winter because the oil may seep from some of the bars during warm weather and make for messy handling. Keep them refrigerated for a nice and cold sweet treat whenever you get those cravings. Not low in calorie like that apple!

O so good!

I bought this big box so that I will have enough to go around this Christmas. My sister and brother and I love this stuff and eat is slowly reserving it as a very special treat. We ate this as kids in NJ but can not find it here in Virginia so finding on Amazon was a real surprise. Everyone will be as delighted to find it under the tree this year as they were last year. Don't tell but I am going to save a few extra bars just for me!

Just like what i had at Chicago deli

This was just like what I had at a Chicago deli back in the late 60s. It brought back so many memories! Truly delicious. halva It's slightly oily and the best part is the way the seeds squeak between your teeth as you chew it. I like the vanilla better than the marble because I find the chocolate swirls to be slightly bitter. This treat is not too sweet, but it is very rich with sesame oil. If you're hungry and don't have time to take a break for a meal, a bar of Joyva Halvah is very satisfying and can tame your hunger pangs for a few hours. My package arrived with about half of the bars having soaked oil through their wrappers. They had even soaked oil through the outer carton. It did not affect the taste in any way, but because I was worried that it might affect the freshness of the halvah, I hurried up and ate all of it very quickly. (Tee hee hee!)

Love the taste

I have have eaten Halvah bars for many decades, but they are rarely seen in stores. I ordered a box of 36 of the small bars on Amazon. The size and shape make eating very easy and convenient compared to large sizes. Cost is reasonable too.

Arctic treats!

An excellent high calorie and nutritious snack for those involved in extreme winter sports. They do not freeze solid. Will buy again!
