Wonderful brushes! Great present for your little one!

Bought these brushes for my two year old little sister and now, I can't get her to stop painting! 10/10 would definitely recommend for your little one! My sister actually hated painting before I got her these brushes because other kid's paint brushes were too hard for her to hold in her small hands, so they would slip and she would mess up and get so upset! The large handles let her easily grasp the brushes and now she can paint confidently and happily. The fact that the handles are colorful is also great-she matches the paints she uses to the brushes and it's a wonderful educational exercise. She's not the only one that loves the brushes-they are so easy for me to wash! The paint comes off so easily, even if I don't wash them right away. It makes paint clean up much less frustrating and they dry fast too. Great gift for any small child! Can't wait to try other Melissa & Doug products.

great long lasting product

i bought this for my four year old daughter for christmas to go with the melissa and doug easel along with other melissa and doug sets, shes a very artsy girl. these paint brushes last we still use them and its been over a year now. these are really good paint brushes for young children. the colored handles helped my daughter keep the colors together without mixing them, not that that matters, children should be mixing colors. how eles will they learn blue and red make purple or yellow and blue make green. all melissa and doug products that i have purchased have lasted and are good quality.

Great paint brushes for young children!

I purchased these paint brushes for my daughter, who is almost 3 years old. They're wonderful paint brushes! We use them with tempera paints and the Melissa & Doug spill-proof paint cups. I like that you can use a separate brush for each color to prevent accidental color mixing. The brushes are very large, so they work well with an easel. The handles are rounded and easy for a young child to grip. The handles are also entirely made of plastic, including the part that looks like metal. I usually prefer wood, but the plastic makes clean-up very easy. I can just soak the brushes in a cup of water without worrying about rust or damaged wood. If you need paint brushes to use on smaller sheets of paper, I'd recommend ones that are smaller than these. For big paintings, though, they are wonderful!

These brushes were perfect for my 1 ½ year old daughter's little hands. I love that they make it easy for kids to keep each color in its rightful place since they are colored. My daughter wasn't very intrigued by the paint brushes I already had at home, so from a toddler's view, these are gold! The brush tips are large and quite sturdy. They are easy to wash and seem very durable. The plastic is nice and easy to clean, and the packaging makes it easy to store as well, since it isn't flimsy like other packaging. Overall, they are good quality and inexpensive. I would definitly recommend them.

These are worth it.

Easy for my LO to grip even at 1yo. Easy to use and EASY TO WASH! Haha! I was worried about that one the most. The bristles pick up the paint really well so that one dip into the paint lasts a long time on paper. Also I personally like how smooth the wood is. Another little perk is that the case it comes in doubles really nicely as a storage for the brushes so after I've washed and dried the brushes I just put them back in their original packaging. Always makes it seem like new when I get them out again :)

The four-piece Melissa & Doug Jumbo Brush Set is the handiest thing I've come across in quite sometime to add fun to your art projects. The colorful, over-sized brush handles are especially well suited and alluring for kids. I invited an 8-year-old neighbor kid to try them out and he wasted no time in mastering their use. The brushes themselves are soft, yet durable in splashing paint on whatever surface you choose. The brushes come in their own specially-designed see-through tote bag, which is easily stored anywhere, and they clean up nicely and easily with nothing but warm water and soap. Yes, these brushes are "perfectly shaped for little hands" (as the tote indicates), but honestly, I've had a lot of fun with these. Highly recommended to anyone!

Great Brushes for Toddlers and Babies

I bought these paint brushes for my daughter when she was two years old. The bulb-like handles are good for babies and toddlers who can't correctly grip a normal paintbrush. They're nice and fat for their little hands to grasp. They come in four different colors (red, yellow, blue, and green) but they're all the same brush. The brush tip is thick, which is good for little ones. My daughter had a set of four watercolors in these same four colors, so because she was too little to know to rinse her brush before she dipped it in another color, mixing colors accidentally, I taught her to use the green brush when she wanted green paint, blue when she wanted blue, etc. Now she's three and has been gripping paintbrushes and pencils correctly so we don't use these anymore. They are going to be given away to her two-year-old cousin. These brushes have held up well in the year we have had them. I haven't had any problem with them. The handles haven't cracked or broken. The brush hairs haven't fallen out or broken. The paint has rinsed out of them well. You can stand these brushes up on their ends, which is great for keeping the tabletop clean when there is paint on the brushes. It also keeps them from rolling away. We used these brushes with Crayola watercolors and paints, and with those products, they have worked perfectly.

Best Little Paint Brushes

These are perfect for little hands. They go perfectly with the Melissa & Dough Paint Cups! Easy to wash too. Make your art sessions more fun with these. The colors match the cups so you can name the colors while you're creating all that high-end art. The plastic is nice as it's easy to clean. My grandson has been using since he was 2 and still using them at 4. They make nice strikes on the paper and these pick up the right amount of paint especially when you use the cups.
