Perfect addition
Lemme tell ya a mini saga. I wanted a mini component 2-channel stereo. It had to be decent, but I wasn't going for HQ and max integration and features. Just a tuner with a music CD player. I went with Sony's CMTSBT100 Micro. Sony makes fair outta-the-box stuff. But this cute little thing, it turned out, has a very muddy sound even with some Bose 301 V1 I had of olde. So I figured it was the not-so-mini room's acoustics. Steeling my countenance and gritting my teeth, I leaned into the next mile and shopped for an equalizer, and because the Sony Micro has no monitor I also needed an amp. I went with this mini EQ which has pretty good reviews on teh webs. Behringer's amps are not mini, but are way overkill for my mini needs and budget. Instead I added the Fosi TDA7498E, the mini-est part of the rig. But man oh man, lemme tell ya. This combo blew me away. It produces sweet, crystal clear sound that is in no way mini. All the mud from the stock Sony is G.O.H.N gone. I can now rock the neighborhood. But I won't because I appreciate considerate neighbors. I'll just rock my living room. The only drawback for my rig is I can't use a remote to adjust the volume because it would change the level of input to the EQ. But the exercise isn't bad, so it is a minor trade off. I haven't heard sound this good out of a home stereo in many years. Kudos to Behringer and Fosi. They salvaged a Situation. Thinking about getting them for my office now.

The wheel, sliced bread, and the Behringer 9-band graphic equalizer
I almost never write product reviews but for this one I must share my excitement with the world. Because of space and financial considerations, I bought an all-in-one Jensen turntable last year. My only major problem with it is that I cannot adjust the levels, so every record I play on it sounds tinny or muffled. I figured there had to be a stand-alone equalizer I could get without having to buy a full-on receiver. I searched for months and could only find equalizers for car stereos or ones that did not have the right inputs or outputs. And then a few days ago I did another search and found this Behringer 9-band compact graphic equalizer. This little gadget is absolutely what I was looking for!! I can finally listen to records and get a rich, full sound with very good but not too deep bass. I now have a low-cost, space-saving, reliable turntable setup. These Behringer equalizers should be a standard accessory for all the new cheap turntables that are out there.

Great for Headphones
This is a fantastic device to unleash the potential of your headphones. I use Sony MDR-7506 headphones. They are great...….. but using this EQ makes it more like unbelievably good. The punch is outstanding, detail is amazing and I just can't stop listening all night, every night! It will take a good night or two to dial everything in as listening fatigue can make it hard to get good subjective results, but that's all part of the deal. I love going home and putting on something to get away from it all and I can confidently say this small investment is so worth it.

Compact and effective!
Very satisfied with this unit. Easy to install into my desktop set-up. Controls seemed a bit complicated prior to use, but very intuitive once you begin adjusting sound. Each band of the equalizer adjusts precisely, and has a pronounced effect. There's no guessing here. Level adjustment control has positive clicks so it stays in place, (+4 db works for me). All buttons are lighted as well as each band slide control. IN/OUT meters are functional... not just there for looks. Don't let it's light weight or small size fool you. This is a smartly engineered piece of audio equipment for the money.

Great little Equalizer with a hum problem
This is a small EQ that fits perfectly in the space I have. It has a nice compliment of features and a decent range of adjustment. The problem I have with it is an annoying hum around 250 HZ that comes directly from it. Take it out of the system and wire straight to the amplifier without the EQ and the hum is gone. Turn down the 250 HZ slider and the hum gets diminished but not removed. I wonder why they used an AC output wall wart to power it. That is the only problem I have with this Equalizer. If it didn't have the hum I'd give it a 5 star rating. Perhaps it needs more shielding instead of the plastic case. I just received a replacement from Amazon. It does not have the hum that lowered my rating. So I changed it to 5 stars. Thanks to Amazon Prime for an easy and fast replacement policy.

Great for the money..........
I didn't need lab type equipment, I just need something to take the place of software EQ's on my computer and this fits the bill just about right. I hate going click-click-click on my computer to make a slight change in the EQ's setting. Now I can make minute changes in my EQ settings as I see fit without the click-click. Of course there are a few limitation to this EQ due to the price point, but they are minor when you consider what you get for the price. I like it and I'm happy! Note: I just wished it came with a black front instead of the silver! 8/1/14 Update: Well its been almost 6 mos. now and I still like it. Everything is working just great except for one thing and that is the red LED's in the sliders are all intermittent (i.e. they go off/on or bright/dim) whenever I touch them. This doesn't effect the sound quality so I just press FBQ button in and turn the LED's effectively off, then I can I can just ignore them. All in all I still think it's a "Good for the money" unit. 2/10/15 Update: I've been using this almost daily, lacking just a few days, for almost a year now and it's still working great. I did have some of the sliders start popping/cracking a little bit when moved them, but I sprayed a little Deoxit on each one and now they work good (by the way that also fixed the intermittent led's in slider problem). I like it and I'm still happy! 6/30/19 Update: It's been over 5 years now and its still going strong, with no problems. I'm still happy, but I'm still wishing for a black unit and I'd be the 1st one on the list if they made one! BTW: I'm giving it 5 stars now its that good.

Two have failed LED's in just days of use!
Up-Date June 30, 2017 Up-date June 2017 As of now a total 4 of the slider LEDs have failed. Up-Date August 16, 2016 As of now the 125 Hz LED has also failed. Up-Date July 31, 2016 While I was taken care of in fine Amazon fashion I want to point out that while the LED failed on both units the device performs very well for my application. I would recommend the EQ as it performs very, very well and of course the LED failure is eye candy more then anything else. This is the second device. The first suffered a failure of the 250 Hz. slider LED. The device was rapidly replaced by Amazon however this one has suffered the same failure mode except it is the 4K Hz. slider LED that has failed in just a few days. The issue is that if the 3rd unit also fails I will have no use for the LP-S60 receiver I purchased at the same time. If the 3rd EQ also fails I will have no choice but to request a refund on both. Do understand that both have suffered the same type of failure within days of receiving them. I would like to once again point out the FANTASTIC customer service provided by AMAZON. I am an Amazon Addict!

A Low Cost Unit That Works Great With My System
Granted, I just got this unit the same day I am reviewing it, but I thought I'd present my initial reaction. I recently bought a low-end Onkyo receiver,Onkyo TX-8020 Stereo Receiver, thinking that I didn't need 'great' sound in my small home office. Well, while I didn't need great sound, I needed better quality than the Onkyo receiver could provide. Rather than return the Onkyo and purchase a different one "blindly", I decided to add this equalizer to my system. It easily did the trick. Rather than my simple bass/treble controls, I have 9 bands of range to adjust to my taste. It brought new life to a mediocre receiver. I've seen complaints that this is housed in a plastic case. Yes, it’s a circuit board in a plastic box. Lots of electronics are housed in plastic units. Not a big deal. It's also only $70. If you want a heavy metal box and 30 bands of EQ, then shell out the money for it. This particular item is great for home use and light live use. Keep it off the floor and you won't step on it. (don't leave it sitting directly on top of your hot amp/receiver, either) As I shopped for an EQ, I didn't see another that had the ratio of price and features for my use. So, no, I am not bringing this out on the road to rock across America - I am simply using this in my simple home stereo system...and it's a great addition.

A must need for your audio hobbies.
So I'm making my own little headset system where I can sit on my recliner and listen to music and maybe a few movies here and there. I was looking for amplifiers and I got the PROZOR Digital to Analog Converter 192kHz DAC. It wasn't powerful enough to amplify the Monolith M1060, so I came across this beauty. I recommend when setting up something like this to get an equalizer because when listening to different instruments you may need some adjustments. Different strokes, for different folks when it comes to ears. For example, the headphones I use becomes daunting when listening to piano performances without setting the highs down. These are magnetic planars so they tend to focus on bass instead. The main reason why I purchased this is because of the in/outputs. There are so many that I could hook up all my media devices. The drawback, but I will not drop a star for, is the 1/4 inch inputs at the far end. When you plug these in it will cancel everything else plugged in. I was worried at first, but then it makes perfect sense. So I use a dual 1/4 inch to a 3.5mm male wire and use it to listen to my iPad and the sound is impeccable. I have also added a custom Creek amplifier attached to the equalizer after a month for that extra push of sound I need from those headphones. A cherry on top.
