I'm just going to go ahead and confirm I'm drinking the kool-aid.. this Lasko heater is awesome. Read the following for more details. Yes, It is small but size doesn't matter here because it does its job so well. It's the epitome of portable because it was easily moved in & out of all three 10x12 to 12x14 bedrooms and the living room without a decrease in performance. You could set it on top of a table, but I kept it on the floor at all times. I must disclose all areas it was used in are carpeted incase it would make a difference otherwise, and I used this device without the support of my central heating unit on during 20-30 degree weather outside. Every time it's turned on, the default is max temp on high speed and with both the timer and oscillation off. Huge warning so you won't forget to adjust the settings to your liking before walking away. How long did the room remain warm or comfortable after turning it off? 4-5 hours for me I guess. I know the room became colder with time, but I could hardly notice until I could no longer feel my toes. I recovered movement after I decided to turn it back on. And the option of a timer is absolutely convenient when or if you don't want to worry about turning the device off, and I think the timer goes up 7 hours? I've only used it up to 4-6. I'm certain the item description states the exact max-time, if not the manual but I'm too lazy to look through any of it.. I like to live dangerously. As far as the temp settings, I never messed around with them so the device was kept at max-temp in every use. I did however choose between the high and low fan speed options, but I honestly could not tell a difference. The oscillation setting is cool but I found the constant air flow in any particular direction worked better. Looks-wise, I don't know what else to say other than it blends in quite well wherever I moved it. Exterior plastic body feels durable as long I don't ever decide to punt it. Cable quality and length is alright I guess, no issues so far. No, It is not perfect. There is a slight smell but it will go away fairly quick. This wasn't a big issue for me but may be for some that are sensitive to what I describe as heated vinyl. After my first order, I ordered 2 more of these Lasko ceramic heaters that produced the same initial odor. And one out of the three had buttons that would I assume rattle when it was on. I placed post-it notes with the sticky end on top of the rattling button and it went away. It was actually annoying having to hear it, no joke. Finally, I warn you to please avoid connecting this device to a power strip and that includes a surge protector.. I'm not well-versed with electricity terms or jargon, so I can only say a 27' tv, lamp and alarm radio along with the heater were plugged into the same surge protector strip and everything turned off instantly after turning the heater on. I had to reset the surge protector to get everything but the heater working again. I now plug this device into its own wall outlet/socket or whatever.

I love this little heater so much! I bought it for the room that I keep my panther chameleon in, to keep him warm, not only in the winter but also from our cold house. I love that it is temperature controlled so it turns off once the room hits the temperature it's set to. The style is soO lovely, company hardly notices it's a heater, & the housing itself doesn't get hot at all! A must have!

Do not be fooled by the small size of this heater. It takes the chill out of the air within 10 minutes and warms comfortably our 27 foot travel trailer within 20-30 minutes. I was paying over $100 a month in propane to run our heater so I did some research on heaters and this one takes the cake. I intentionally waited to post a review so I can make sure it was worth the purchase. My electric bill was only $35 this month!! And I've been running it everyday. It has a timer which is great, and it rotates the heat throughout the room. Its nice looking too! It does NOT smell! There is no noticeable heater smell like some others I've used in the past. My tip to you is if you're using this for your travel trailer, insulate your windows to keep the heat inside. I used a clear plastic shrink wrap stuff. It was easy to put up and definitely helped a bunch. Thanks for reading!

Cute heater that looks nice in a room. The remote is fully functional. This heater blows out a good bit of heat for such a small compact one.

I LOVE this little heater. It works great and doesn't show any signs of stopping. It's an attractive design that has most of my guests saying "what is that?" If they even notice it at all, as its pretty quiet. There's a setting for low (but the only temperature option for low is "max") and the setting for high has "max" but also varying temperature options up to 85. There's timer options for four hours, two hours and one hour and the option to oscillate. This thing pumps out some serious heat! But I also believe it to be safe, as long as you're using it properly. I haven't noticed any signs of melting or warping anywhere on it and I've used it on high max for a while, as my house was built in the early 1900s and gets quite drafty. It was warns up my large living room with high ceilings (10 ft) I thought it was a bit pricey for the size when I got it but now after having it a while, I think it's worth it. When I saw the other reviewers complain about a lack of remote, I thought that was silly. But now I occasionally wish it did come with a remote just to turn it off when I'm too lazy to get up haha All in all, I would recommend it. I've had several space heaters over the years in various homes/apartments and I have to say this one is the absolute best I've had for the price. And it's better looking than any other space heater I've had.

I love these heaters!! Last winter I didn't even have to turn the heater on once because of this awesome heater!! I bought one for the living room, my office and our bedroom, and they work great!! Then in the Spring and summer, just put them in them boxes and put them away for the following year. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

It is a quite, small, well designed heater. Its is enough to heat a room (340 square foot with high ceiling) in half an hour. I thought that it could rotate 360 degrees but it can only rotate about 90 degrees. You wont regret buying it.

I purchased my Lasko 6435 heater about 2 years ago to provide heat to a 12' x 14' room that I spend quite a bit of time in. It also allows me to lower the overall heat of the house but keep this room at 70 degrees in the winter time which is about 6 months long where I live. My objectives when I purchased it were to provide a cost effective method for heating this room which would be pretty much balanced out by lowering my house thermostat by a few degrees. Thus effectively getting comfortable living just for the minimal cost of the heater and no to very little extra cost in my energy bill. Since I am on a pretty fixed budget I thought this would be a good investment to make. Results : I use the Lasko on High with a setting of 70 degrees and it is on 24 x 7 in the winter. For temperature control with 70 degrees set I find the temp runs between 72 - 68 degrees. Thus it turns on at 68 and runs until the room is 72 degrees. It takes between 10 - 15 minutes for each cycle. Thus on a daily basis it runs about 4 - 6 hours a day. It is rated at 1500 watts for high but I believe based on what I did in research that that high rating is closer to 1300 watts. Energy Analysis - Given that it runs 4 - 6 hours per day at 1300 watts my costs per month are approximately as follows. 6 - 9kw's per day x 30 days or 180 - 270 kw's per month. My energy cost is about .11 per kw + .02 for distribution or .13 per kw. So based on this my monthly cost runs between - $23.40 to $35.10 or so about a $1 a day. Recommendation - This product runs quiet and in my opinion very efficiently. It meets the needs that I purchased the Lasko for and have had no service problems at all with the unit. I feel good using this method to use the same amount of power but be more comfortable. Pros - * Energy Efficient ( note this is for radiant heat for a small space as a supplement to an HVAC system ) * Quiet and I really like the oscillator function .. I think it is effective in heating the area * Looks much nicer than a typical space heater Cons - * I really don't think I needed to pay for the remote - I never use it but for some it may be nice I hope this review is helpful .. if it is please let me know.

These little machines pump out some heat. I bought two of these and keep my apartment heated at a constant 70 all the time. So far they are proving more efficient and better than what my apartment offers as heating. These little heaters look great which was a big influence on buying these. Who wants as ugly heater when you can have a one that fits with living and bedroom sets.

Not happy that I needed to buy this since I live in Florida, but glad I bought this specific one. Used it all winter and it performed like a champ. So here's the skinny: Kept my 12 x 15 bedroom nice and toasty WITH THE DOOR CLOSED no matter how low the temp got. Kept my 15 x 18 living room comfortable as long as the temps were in the 40s. When it was in the 30s, it got kinda iffy. On the nights we got into the 20s - yes, in frickin' Florida - the poor little guy just couldn't keep up. (The living room does not have a door, just an archway into the kitchen, and the heat did not spread that far.) Changes to my electric bill were negligible. Smelled funny on first use, but that disappeared within a few hours. Construction is solid. Little awkward to pick up. Absolutely zero overheating of the cord, even with usage of up to 10 hours at a time. Bought a safety plug for the outlet, so that probably helped. For what it's worth, this place was built in '45 and while the wiring has been updated, it's still not the most modern. Had no problems. Price was great, too. About $40 as I recall. Money WELL spent.
