Fantastic to use if you don’t have air tools!
I used this for my 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer. I don’t have air tools so I needed something for leverage that was better than the fuzzed-out rentals at the auto stores. I could not have changed these parts without this! All I had to do for my model was take out two bolts, attach the bar, then tighten those up. From that point I could use both arms to break the big nut free because the clutch was blocked from turning by this tool! Huge time and frustration saver! I would recommend this to anyone trying to do this job without air tools!

Works like a charm!
I was a little worried about buying when I saw a few pics of this tool having been bent. All I can say is those that bent one must have had one nasty stuck fan clutch nut! This tool is very sturdy and thick! I tried over and over to hold my belt as tight as I could and wack the wrench with a 4 lb hammer and it would just turn in the serpentine belt. After 45 minutes of trying I gave up and went to AutoZone for the tool. They had none and none to rent. Guess it’s too old school now. But saw this guy on here and ordered it up. It arrived on time and was easy to hook onto the pulley and took one smack and the nut was loose. My only regret is I didn’t just buy to start with!

Ford fan clutch set
This review is for the Ford fan clutch set. This set worked perfectly for my need. I used this to remove the fan clutch on a 2001 f-150 5.4L gas engine. It took longer to remove stuff to get to the fan clutch then it did break it loose and replace it with a new clutch using this set. The metal for the two included tools was thicker than I expected. I believe it would be difficult to bend these as long as you don't have too much unintentional side to side force versus what is used to loosen or tighten the fan clutch nut while keeping the water pump pulley stationary.

Simple and easy
Okay. I'll admit it; I'm a "Tool Junkie". I bought this because I was swapping out the fan clutch in my '98 GMC Sierra ....a job I'd done on a previous GM truck ...and vowed if I ever again replaced a fan clutch I'd get "the tool". And I *am* a hopeless "junkie". And for less than 20 bucks? I couldn't resist. This is about as dirt simple a tool as you can get. It allows you to hold the fan stationary while you wack the big wrench you've got on the big nut holding the clutch to the threaded drive on the water pump. The two holes on the bar line up with two of the bolts holding the fan to the clutch. The holes in the bar are big enough to slip over the end of hex bolts or, if you really have a booger of a nut to remove and you want more security in holding the bar to the clutch, you can remove two fan bolts and bolt the bar to the clutch using the fan bolts. You also use this bar to reinstall the new clutch and get the nut tightened a lot better than without. This tool makes this job so simple and easy.

Worked perfectly Ford 4.2 2000 F150
After seeing others struggle with a crescent wrench and a long screwdriver, I decided to get an inexpensive fan clutch wrench to save some aggravation when I had to replace the timing cover gasket on my F150. This tool worked perfectly for a 2000 Ford F150 4.2 V6 which means it should work fine on any 4.2L Ford engine. I literally loosened the 20 year old fan clutch nut in seconds when I was prepared for a knuckle-bleeding struggle. I was quite pleased 'cuz it gave me time to drink another beer.

Excellent tool for GMC owners.
There's simply no substitute for having a tools like this for removing fan clutches. I spent several hours arguing with the pulley and fan clutch nut. Needless to say, I lost. With this, it took all of two minutes. The holes on this are too small for the 13 mm bolt heads. The trick for 13 mm bolts (like mine has) is to remove two adjacent bolts from the water pump's pulley and bolt the tool to the pulley right where you removed those two bolts from. Thread the bolts in flush. No need to crank them down but you may destroy the bolt threads too far down the bolt if you don't put them in all the way. Next get a large adjustable wrench or channel lock pliers. Push the clutch tool clockwise while going counter clockwise with your wrench or pliers. It should take a fair amount of strength but not overly much. Once you feel the nut come loose, you should then be able to do the rest by hand. All this, by the way, is much easier if you remove the radiator beforehand but doing so isn't mandatory. The tool itself is good quality. Nicely finished and smoothed. Let's face it, it's not hard to put two holes and a curved notch into a thick piece of flat metal and add a rubber handle.

Works for '98 Expedition with 5.4L engine
This is handy if you need to remove a clutch fan (which I did for a radiator replacement on a 1998 Ford Expedition 5.4L with tow package). The small/long wrench goes on the end of the fan where it threads to the pulley, while the larger wrench is designed to grab around the small bolts on the same pulley. I recommend having a breaker bar that is a least 24" on the larger wrench and a 1/2'' drive ratchet works great for the smaller wrench.

Good Tool
Used this on 02 ZR2 Blazer to hold the water pump pulley as to remove and replace the fan clutch. The hole locations are exact for that which is what I'm using it for, even if you want to use two bolts to secure it to the pulley. The bar wrench is made quite well. The Clutch nut isn't really that tight to begin with as long as it wasn't over tightened previously (should be 40 FPS tighten spec for the 48mm nut.) So, putting this bar through a stress test above that isn't going to happen with this application. I'm sure there's plenty of other uses for it to test it out on. Can't go wrong here for the money though. Just use care handling that plastic fan. Good luck.

Great Tool that fits perfectly.
Used this tool after I bought another tool that was advertised to work on my vehicle to remove the fan and fan clutch on my 2002 ZR2 Chevrolet 4x4 S10 with a 4.3 Ltr V6 engine, had failed to even fit or work. This tool fit and worked great, and was just what I needed ! Would recommend this tool and a large, open ended 36 mm wrench with a 3 LB engineers hammer to use on the wrench. Worked great with very little force, couldn't be happier.

This tool makes replacing a water pump with the engine in the truck so much easier. Used it on my 2003 Ford Ranger XLT 4.0.
