My grandson was SO proud when he got the puzzle pieces correctly into their places for the first time. Now, at 18 mos. of age, he still loves it! Have ordered a similar puzzle (a little more complex, with more animals) as a Christmas gift for him. A big knob on each puzzle piece helps little hands grasp the piece & quickly learn where to place it...no major frustration by dropping the pieces. I started my boys on wooden puzzles when they were quite young...how I wish these knobs had been "invented" back then!!!

Favorite toy. Perfect for 10mo+

My baby is obsessed. Great for fine motor skills. Likes clapping them together and constantly carrying them to us and she does not yet know how to put them back properly but she has a ball taking them out of puzzle and carrying them around by he knob.

Very cute

I bought this puzzle for my grandson's first birthday. He loves to take the pieces out and play with them. I had another of the Melissa & Doug Jumbo Knob puzzles so I knew what I was ordering. The bright colors and large size are exactly what I wanted for him. The large knob seems to fit in his mouth as well as it does in his hand. The 2 and 3 year olds also enjoy this puzzle even though it is a bit easy for them and they quickly move on to the 6 or more piece puzzles.

My son loves to play with this puzzle. Granted many times he just likes to throw the pieces but the sturdiness makes it ok.lol

The knobs are great for little hands

Exactly the quality I would expect from Melissa & Doug products. I have a.1 year old and I got this as well as the fish bowl one. The knobs are great for little hands! Within a week she was putting the pieces back towards the board instead of flinging them to the side. Only a matter of time and they'll be going in the right spot! These are fantastic beginner's puzzles. Highly recommend.

Best Gift At The Party!

My 1 year old great granddaughter opened this first and kept playing with it throughout the gift opening to the chagrin of several other part goers! Her mom says it has become a favorite along with the other puzzle Melissa and Doug puzzle I gave her.
