Great pump, just watch out for a few things
Excellent pump but you need to watch for a few things: Sometimes the wiring to the battery terminal inside the unit comes loose and you need to take it apart to reconnect it. Also, the spray nozzle head may become partially clogged causing the pump to sound like it's dying. It's not. Unscrew it and clean it out. Keep it charged periodically, even during the winter. But you don't necessarily need to recharge it after every use. Also, NEVER EVER use roundup or other herbicide in this pump if you will also be using the pump to spray fungicides or insecticides on plants. Why? Even with repeated rinsing, enough herbicide remains in the tank and hose to damage plants. LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE. Also, this pump may be attached to a hand truck with bungee cord so that it may be wheeled around instead of carried on the back. Great for geezers like me.

I love it.
This unit is a life savior. I help maintain the grounds of a large church which requires significant weed eradication. This is great for large areas but would be over kill for small areas. It comes with shoulder straps so you can carry it on your back, good luck with that. I don,t know how much it weighs but with 3 gal of mix and the batteries it is heavy. In got around this by strapping it on a hand truck with a bungee cord, works like a champ. If you do this be sure to get a hand truck with inflated tires not hard rubber. With those you can go anywhere. The only other problem is the nozzles drip a little when it is under pressure. Be careful when your crossing over a lawn or some where you don,t want to kill the folage. To get around this I mounted a square kitty litter bucket on the upper part of the hand truck, then is just stick the wand in thee when I,m changing locations. It also holds my supply's . I know it sounds like a Rube Goldberg set up but it really works quit well.

If I could use emojis in reviews I’d put the 🙌🏻 HALLELUJAH HANDS here...
I am the ‘exterminator’ for mine and my folks’ middle of the woods homes. Every spring it is the same: house millipedes by the thousands (no exaggeration) and more spiders than I am comfortable with, exponentially. Every creepy crawly known to man - and some I’m certain have yet to be named by scientists because scientists don’t come this deep in the woods - comes out of the leaves and bark and ground and heads indoors. I don’t know why but AAAAAAAAGHHHHHH!!! So last year we ‘fired’ the exterminator and I did it myself. With a one gallon pump sprayer and my insecticide of choice. My back was KILLING me for over a week. And that was just after an hour of doing my parents’ front porch (I Insert the tip of the wand into the crevices between the boards and run the length of the crevice). Between pumping every 10 seconds and bending over... I thought I was gonna break my back. And I’m not the physically fittest - like I couldn’t run because unless something is chasing me why would I - but I’m not overweight roly poly, either. So this year I bought this battery sprayer and got both houses, both yards, both garages done in maybe 2 hours. I do wish the hose was about 3’ longer and that the wand had an extension so I wouldn’t have had to hunch over (I’m 5’5”, so not an Amazonian gal by any stretch [all bad puns intended]) BUT I still didn’t have a horrible backache because of the time I saved myself with this sprayer. Like another reviewer suggested, I bungee strapped the sprayer to a set of hand trucks and rolled it around with me. I’m about 130 pounds and hauling that 30+ pounds of ‘backpack’ around just was not on my agenda.

Great buy!
I have only had time to put 7 gallons out of round-up but did so in about 1.5 hours compared to 3 it usually takes carrying a 2 gallon sprayer. Wished I had done this prior!! Great buy!! If I have issues with the longevity I will repost but if you don't see my repost I am happy camper!! Update: Been using for some time now and so very pleased. Loaned to my friend who is also pleased. Have no complaints as of now. The battery is doing well. I do make sure and rinse after each use and never leave it with product in the sprayer. I have my own business that uses sprayers so good care will bring good results always.

Great sprayer with conditions...
This is a great sprayer. Wide mouth, extra tips, sprays well with a long last charge. However, it is heavy. The battery itself adds considerable weight. When carrying 4 gallons water plus battery plus housing weight, it get quite heavy. I would help if the shoulder straps had padding...I made my own padding. Make sure your wearing a shirt when using. Chapien sprayer has on less weight which I will try because of the weight.

Super duper tough Great pump
Man im enjoying the hell outta this. Its great it last days on a charge and ice ran all types of pesticides soaps and solvents through it. Although I want to run bleach through it to wash a slab im scared to right now. Im not sure how it would hold up to that. UPDATE 4/27/19 well my sprayer is busted lol. its my fault. I've got to find a new battery for it. anyone complaining about this has done something to it. I've really mistreated this thing and it worked great. I've only ever charged it twice since purchasing. I've dropped it partially ran over it mixxed stuff in it i probably shouldn't have. what finally took ot out was it sat in the rain for about a week. i wasn't aware the battery compartment wasn't sealed. anyway i love this thing and I'm going to find a battery for it and keep trucking. its the first thing in a long time I feel satisfied for buying.

Many Years of Great Service. Great for spraying long distances or large areas
This unit gave me years of great performance before the battery finally died and would no longer hold a charge. It was great for spraying large areas and especially where I needed to be able to spray at a long range. The only downside was the weight of the unit + battery. But I just strapped it to a small hand card and problem solved.

Leaves a lot to be desired
I received my sprayer yesterday (6/15/12)and read the directions which there are very little. The blow up diagram of the sprayer is useless. It is a good thing I read "all" the reviews before purchasing and using the item. The battery charger is very poor quality. I charged the battery for 12 hours before I used it. After 12 hours the charger was still red. I gave it another 1/2 hour and it was still red. I was concerned about overcharging. I unpluged the charger from the wall and it still was lit red. I unpluged the connector to the sprayer and the light (naturally) went out. I then plugged it back in to the sprayer and the light was now green. I plugged the charger into the wall plug and it stayed green. I would be very careful not to overcharge the battery. I used it for about 40 minutes and I am recharging it now. So the best bet is to unplug the connector to the sprayer every once in a while to see if the battery has fully charged. I have three semi-dwarf apple trees and a peach tree. They are all about 15-20 feet tall. I had to do what another reviewer did and remove the piece from inside the sprayer head. I got the same results as the other person which was about 15 feet of heavy spray. That was ok thought as I had to saturate the tree leaves and it did the trick. I had no leaks or battery connection problems as others did but I have only used it once. The straps are useless. You would have to be "The Hulk" to carry this sprayer with four gallons of liquid on your back. I am very mechanically inclined but couldn't figure out how to connect the shoulder straps. I took them off and used bungi cords to secure the sprayer to a two wheel hand cart. It worked great. You can carry it around and place the tank on the ground as it has a handle molded into the tank. The plastic line that carries the liquid from the tank to the sprayer is not very flexible. I think they could have used a better quality hose. I would have paid more for this item, if they had used better quality parts. I will have to update this review after a couple of months of use to see how the sprayer performs. Update 8/14/2012; This sprayer is great. It reaches the tops of my fruit trees (18') and the battery outlasts me. Excellent product.

No more hand pumping.
I don't regret buying this almost 2 years ago. I was worried about the battery because I saw bad reviews about them not charging, but mine has not given me any issues, I have had it sit for Months and still retain a charge. I don't carry this on my back, I use bungee cords to strap it to a small hand dolly and this works great for me (it lives on the dolly so I don't need to keep putting on and taking off), the dolly handle work great to store the wand. I am able to fill it and just wheel it around my yard and spray with ease. Just so you know the container that holds the liquid does not get pressurized, it has an internal pump which sprays the liquid. Maybe I should explain - this means that you can mix a bucket of liquid to be sprayed then in the middle of the job open the lid of the sprayer and add more to it. No need to de-pressurize the tank every time. By now this has paid for itself with the hand pumping frustration it has saved me!

Thank you for the small miracles in life!
This is a great machine! Arrived in perfect condition and works flawlessly. I have about 15 mature dwarf fruit trees and this sprayer easily reaches the tops. For my other larger trees I simply use a stepladder. One charge handles all of the day's chores. Is it heavy? Yes. But a milk crate and two bungycords gave me a perfect setup on the back of my riding mower. (I just do the taller trees last when the tank isn't full.) ;-) Needless to say, I'll never go back to a pump sprayer again. Worth every penny!
