Did not use the plastic bracket but the unit looks good and works good with some room to spare.

After reading reviews I was concerned about the quality of the hinge on the door. I can say mine was very good and works perfectly!very pleased. Installed a single DIN Kenwood deck. Opening for deck was very tight but was able to get the mounting sleeve in without tools or sanding as others have stated. Installed in under 30 minutes with no problems. Used a lot over Memorial weekend and love it! Would recommend. Very sturdy and door stays open when you want it too and closes tightly.

Fits and holds the stereo in place. Also prevents water damage.

It is nice and works well but should accept the single din housing better instead of just having to jam it in

Installed in a Yamaha Wolverine R Spec, slides perfectly into dash storage box keeps dust and water off radio especially when hosing down to get clean after a dusty ride

Used this all summer and the radio was always dry.

Great product could have used some instructions, the website was supposed to have them. (maybe I goofed but I couldn't find them) but not a hard to figure out what went where. Overall very sturdy & seems watertight . My last marine stereo flooded in a storm & took out my electronics. It was improperly wired & not very waterproof as i found out. But this Boss housing seems very well made & thought out, so far I would recommend it!

Worked great for the boat so far!!!!!

This work perfect for mounting a stereo on the bow on my Silverton, now people can hear music while riding up front
