- BUILD ON EARLY READING SKILLS – The Match It! Spelling collection of puzzles teach a range of early reading skills including letter recognition, word formation and spelling. By putting the cards together to form a word, the child gains important understanding of the mechanics of reading, all aided by the pictures which provide a clue to the word being formed.
- ENCOURAGE CONFIDENCE IN LITERACY – The puzzles contain both three- and four-letter words. Learning to read can be a daunting process, but self-correcting puzzles, where the pieces will only fit if they are correct, can provide a boost of confidence. This can help any child to feel more positive and confident when approaching literacy tasks.
- INTRODUCE KEY PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS – These puzzles are an ideal way to help your child develop basic understanding of how to solve simple problems, developing important skills that will help them as they progress on to more difficult tasks.
- IMPROVE MOTOR SKILLS: Thick, durable cardboard construction makes products easy to grasp and use, and also a great way of improving hand-eye coordination and encouraging the development of essential motor skills.
- INCREASE ATTENTION SPAN & FOCUS – Working towards creating each word provides plenty of motivation and this helps your child develop their concentration skills, teaching them the importance of focusing on the task to completion.

Great for a 3 year old!
We got this for our son's 3rd birthday and he loves it. He's always been a puzzle kid, so I was curious to see how he'd do with this. He took right to it with little instruction from us. It includes a combination of 3 and 4 letter words. Pros: Well-cut pieces that fit nicely together. Thick, nice quality. Lots of word puzzles. Cons: Too many puzzles (this could easily to a pro for others) - there are so many puzzles when you dump the box out that it's a bit overwhelming. I think I may put the 4 word puzzles in a baggie and keep them separated from the 3 word puzzles, just to minimize the number of pieces out at a time.

Great starter for learning words and spelling.
I purchased the spelling puzzle word set to help my 2 year old start reading since he knows words and the alphabet. I was worried because he hates sitting down and reading, he's more of a hands on building tracks and putting things together, but this peaked his interest. This was the perfect way to help him learn that letters make up words. When the box arrived, some letter puzzles were already put together, some apart due to shipping. I wasn't bothered by it because it took less than 5 min to put letters together. You get 10 4-letter puzzles and 10 3-letter puzzles. Overall great buy! BOAT, KITE, CAKE, TREE, SHOE, SOCK, RING, BIRD, FROG, DUCK BUG, CAT, COW, PIG, PIE, FOX, CAR, BUS, KEY, DOG

Awesome Learning Activity
Purchased these for my 3 year old granddaughter. She loves these self correcting puzzles and doesn't get frustrated when engaged in learning. Since there are so many puzzle pieces, we usually pick 3 or four animals or card names at a time. Definitely arrived as described and these puzzle pieces will be used for a long time. I would recommend. They help with spelling, visualisation, are so much fun.

I love the concept of these jigsaw puzzles in terms of teaching a kid how to do puzzles and spell at the same time. We got this for our 2 year old that loves puzzles and letters, so it was a win win for us. He loved them so much that we had to take in a couple of the puzzles to daycare to help sooth him when he was having a rough days. All the puzzles are either 3 or 4 letter words and are pretty easy to put together. The puzzles themselves are pretty sturdy, but not too stiff that it makes it hard to put them together. The words spelled out in these puzzles are popular words that toddlers can easily recognize the pictures of like dog, cat, pie, bird, bug, tree, which is perfect for helping them connect the dots of how to spell there favorite things while keeping them entertained at the same time. The only downside I can say about this is that it is that the storage isn't ideal. There really isn't a way to separate the puzzles, so all the different puzzle pieces mix together in the box. Our son will dump out all the pieces and you kind of have to do a scavenger hunt for the right pieces. Right now we just find a couple of his favorite words and leave them out on a table so we don't have to constantly go through the box and find the right pieces for each of those puzzles. With that being said, our son is only 2, so as he gets older, he will be able to sort through all the pieces in the box and match them to the right puzzles. In fact, it could e nd up being a challenge for him, and a good thing.

This toy is great for learning!
I am an early childhood teacher that currently stays at home with my children. I am teaching my youngest daughter her letters and bought this set to help. It is a great toy, very durable. The best part about it is that you can use the lowercase letters, upper case letters, or both. (It is better to teach lowercase letters first.) I use them for lessons, like which letter makes the "u" sound like this umbrella? When the child is able to do more independent work, the self-correcting matching pieces make it a good learning tool for working by themselves. I highly recommend this toy.

Fascinated by the immediate results
My 2 and 3 year old boys were ecstatic when I sat them at the table to play with this for the fist time. Today is only day 2, and my 3 year old has already got the spelling concept down. He pa the puzzles together, tells me what the picture is, then spells it for me. I'm very impressed and will be purchasing more items like this.

More is Better
This is a nice product. I bought this set first and then found others at a discount chain. My grandson is very interested in spelling and he loves puzzles. Perfect fit, pun intended. Another reviewer suggested mixing pieces from several sets together to make it more of a challenge. I love the idea and will utilize it. My husband hid the pictures and had our grandson sound out the words and then see if he got it right. Simple concept that can be used in multiple ways.

We have both rhyme and spelling - photo of matches
Here’s a pic of all rhymes matches bc it can be difficult if you put all 30 matches out at a time. I just do 5 at a time w my 4 year old. 1 year old likes for me to say the names of the pairs too. Kind of like flash cards but a game.

Good for learning and fun
Bought for my granddaughter’s 4th Birthday. Great item and she loved it. I did keep the 3 or 4 pieces together for each one and let her pick each set. I’m sure if she had all pieces at once she’d probably lose interest. Maybe later on down the road. This kept her interest and she did all of them in the first sitting and was so proud of herself. Highly recommend
