Over-the-door pulley system
Definite A+ for this over-the-door pulley system. No "cheaply" made parts here. From the over the door heavy grade (aluminum) I'm thinking to the cord itself or the metal pulley (not plastic where others are!) and even the wood handles, you don't have to worry about something breaking when using correctly. Since my shoulder replacement I've used this for a couple ofon the with great results and it still looks brand new! Very definitely recommend this product, don't let the price fool you! I received way more great quality then I expected!

Inexpensive and effective
I had rotator cuff surgery this summer and have been going to physical therapy to gradually regain my range of motion and strength. The PT has a similar setup as this pulley system, only built-in and probably sturdier, and it helps a lot so I bought this to use at home. Added to all my other stretches and strength exercises I'm seeing a huge leap forward in returning to normal use of my shoulder. This pulley system is easy set up and to use -- just put it over a door and adjust the cord length to suit, grab and handle in each hand and start stretching. I leave mine set up on a bedroom closet door all the time and use it several times a day. Feels wonderful to stretch. My physical therapist is the one who told me to look at Amazon's offerings and not mess around with buying a pulley and making my own -- the pieces cost as much as buying this all ready made. Do be aware that this isn't intended to hold a lot of weight, just the weight needed to stretch your arm, but it's plenty sturdy enough for that. EDIT: Thought I ought to mention that I'm 5'3" and when my shoulder is extended fully upward (hooray!) I can touch the pulley itself. Taller people will most likely need to rig it up higher than just hanging it over the door.

Cheapest range of motion tool
I am a physio and have been using this with my clients with shoulder injuries for years. Easy to place over the door without scratching paint, smooth mechanics - it is the best tool for my patients to use in-between physio visits.

Great for Physical Therapy
I use this product at my physical therapist to recover from Rotator Surgery. I bought this as a single item, but they have a pack that includes a blue bar as well. I would also recommend that, as I also use it in PT. This comes with a good booklet that expands on the normal workouts. If it matters, I am 6'0 and it has plenty of reach for long arms I have had to tie off the rope to adjust it for me, but otherwise, it is strong and flexible and much easier to use than other types. The "rope" is not stretchy, but it does have flex. The polished wooden handles are pierced for the rope in a good place to allow room for the hands to have a good grip on the handles. The hanger for the pulley assembly is padded so it doesn't scratch the door and the pulley itself seems to be quite strong and swivels for different positions. It's been a great tool.

Increase range of motion
Spouse had a shoulder replacement and his Orthopedic Surgeon recommended this item to gradually increase his range of motion while recovering. Very simple item to use and he’s loving it. Imagine it would be just as useful for post- any shoulder surgery.

It works only if you do the exercises!
We live in an apartment and put it on the inside of the front door. This a good spot to remind us to do the routines every day.

Won't damage door
Well designed and sturdy enough for out purposes. Has padding at the top to help prevent door damage; ours are white so that was a concern. All in all, a good item at a fair price.

I highly recommend this to strengthen your shoulders
Using this product to strengthen my arms after major neck surgery caused me to lose the use of both arms. Now, with the help of this Overhead Pulley, I can lift my arms above my head and can feel the biceps getting stronger. I highly recommend this to strengthen your shoulders.

Works very well.
It is very simple to use. All you have to do is hook it over the door. This is what my Physical Therapist recommended I order. I definitely recommend this product.

So nice to just hang over any door
I had a total left shoulder replacement 3 months ago so I thought this over the door pulley would help me to continue my PT at home once discharged from post op and on days not getting professional PT. It certainly does the trick! Basically it's the same concept used at PT facility. So nice to just hang over any door ... even to be able to bring with me when traveling! Just needed to make a few knots in the rope for height adjustment I needed. This will continue to help me with my range of motion (shoulder) in years to come!
