This set of 4 puzzles kept my 3-3/4 year old granddaughter engaged for quite a while. She enjoyed sliding open the box, choosing the pieces for the next puzzle, then figuring out how to put them together. She's still a bit uncertain on the concept of putting the corners and straight edges together first, but I could see steady progress with each attempt. I like the fact that the pieces are kept inside the box, which will diminish the possibility of missing pieces. You can also bring it along on a car or plane ride since it is relatively compact with the playing surface built in.

Took this on our roadtrip equipped with our son's tray for his carseat. He's almost 3 so this is his first "real" puzzle. I sat with him and showed how to line up the edges, corner pieces etc. He has learned these puzzles quite well! It's a good challenge for him. I like that the 4 puzzles have their own space in the box, they are wooden and sturdy pieces. If the puzzle pieces do get mixed up - each theme puzzle has a shape on the back, so all the O's are one puzzle, the Squares are another, etc. Colors are vibrant and the images are beautiful.

These are excellent little puzzles. It's quite nice that there are four puzzles in each little box, and that the box has little compartments to keep the pieces for each puzzle separate. The pieces are very durable and fit together well. Each piece of the puzzle also has a shape on the back to help keep the pieces organized. The pieces are strong enough that they don't break, and the box is sturdy as well. The top of the box makes an excellent "frame" in which the young one can set the puzzle pieces as he/she fits them together. The only "minus" I've found so far is that when the puzzle pieces are put together and removed from one another several times (especially when brand new) they leave tiny wood shavings - nothing to worry about as far as getting a sliver or something like that goes, they just leave a little "dust" that needs to be wiped up when the child is done. Definitely not something that will stop me from buying other puzzles like this in the future, just something to be aware of.

I cannot say enough good things about this product! My 2 yr old son loves it! I bought the two pack for a Christmas gift but I couldn’t wait to give it to him so I introduced one of the boxes last week and am holding the other back for Christmas. He will sit and play with this for over an hour at a time. It challenged me to use words to talk him through putting it together the first few times instead of the instinctual act of doing it for him. Now he has mastered them and doesn’t need my help, but they still hold his attention for long periods of time. We also have a ritual when he finishes the puzzle, he says ‘mommy cookie monster’ and I pretend like the puzzle is a cookie. He loves it and then we do the puzzle again. My 3 yr old nephew also really likes the puzzles and there are four in each pack so there is no fighting over ‘one toy’. I am looking at the packs with more pieces now because these were such a hit!

I bought these for my almost three year old for Christmas thinking they were the shape matching puzzles (my bad for not reading the whole listing, lol). He absolutely loves the puzzles though and they're still easy enough to solve. The lids are just the right size for the size of the puzzle and each piece has a shape on the back to put the pieces back together in case your little one mixes them all up or they bounce around inside the box. Highly recommend this for the little ones!

My daughter who is almost 3 loves these puzzles! She of course needs assistance with putting them together but she is really getting the hang of it. The 4 separate compartments inside the box are great for keeping the puzzles organized and each puzzle has its own "shape code" on the back so you know what piece goes to what puzzle if by chance they get mixed up. Very happy with my purchase!

My 26-month-old can do all peg puzzles easily now, but most of the simplest jigsaw puzzles have 24 pieces, and they are just too hard for her. With that many pieces, it's hard to keep her attention and explain corners, edges, middle pieces, and patterns. These puzzles are just big enough to have both edges and center pieces, but they are not overwhelming for her. The scenes have been done very well to give just the right hints about which pieces fit together. And there is a line around the outer edge of the puzzle, so I can help her to focus on the edges by asking where the line is on a piece and reminding her to complete the line. I decided not to even show her that the puzzle box opens, so right now she thinks there is only one puzzle to do. We do it together twice a day, and within only a week she can put the whole thing together if I place the corners for her first. I think in another week she will fully understand edges and corners and will be able to grasp the next puzzle quickly. I'm excited about these and plan to buy one more set! I'm hoping she'll be graduating to floor puzzles because of these. :)

My grandson and I spend many happy hours building puzzles and he was so excited when these arrived, because we had something new to do during one of his visits. It's really great that these come in a partitioned box and that each puzzle has its own shape stamped on the back so that you know which pieces belong in which portion of the box if they get muddled up. (For example: All the dog pieces have a diamond on the back and all the cat pieces has a star on the back.)

My 3 year old loves this. He started playing with similar puzzles, after he turned 2 ( another version of the same product, that has lasted for last 5+ years of significant amount of playing by my older kid and now the younger one). They are very sturdy and can withstand a lot of serious playing of an energetic kid. The box helps to keeps things organized. They are perfect for a 2.5+ years old. He plays with them everyday and have not lost interest so far ( I have 4 sets of this, and may consider buying more).

I bought this for my 2 1/2 year old. I think it is great first "real" puzzle for her. She was getting bored with toddler puzzles and these are excellent jigsaw puzzles for young children. The puzzles themselves are only 12 pieces which are enough of a challenge that it takes her a few minutes to put together, but not enough pieces that she is frustrated. The pieces are wood, not just cardboard so they stand up better to little fingers trying to force them together. She is very interested in animals and has not grown bored with them yet. She will get excited and insist on finishing all 4 puzzles before moving on to another activity. Another HUGE plus: the pieces all have symbols printed on the backs so they are sorted easily. Wonderful idea! So not only do you have a nice sturdy wooden box with lid and four partitions to keep the puzzles in, if they do get mixed up it is easy to correct. One thing to note, since this is a bundled set, the puzzles share the same four symbols so we keep each of our puzzle sets on separate floors of the house.
