This is the only non-suck Progresso soup you can buy. I ate it for breakfast this morning. You know why? Because I can. I had this and bacon with some coffee. Boss move, in my opinion. Try it some day. You'll be impressed. I bought the whole product line when it was on sale with Prime Pantry, and they all were pathetic -- except this. When you're a soup company, and "It doesn't suck as bad as everything else" is a 5* review, your soups are crap. But, at least there's one good Progresso on the market -- the chowder.

As a clam chowder connoisseur, I must admit that this is the best canned chowder on the market right now. It helps with cravings if you can't get to your favorite restaurant or make it from scratch. I'm always on the lookout for better chowders. Currently, they've all disappointed...especially the ones that claim to be gourmet at twice the price. If I find something better, I'll edit.

So happy to find this item in Prime Pantry. Love New England Clam Chowder and this is by far one of the best I have found so far. (Other than making my own!). An abundance of both clams and potatoes provided a most filling lunch for me. And, enough for two servings. Will definitely purchase this again as part of my 'stocking up' of my cabin for the winter. An excellent flavor and delivered to my door... Most highly recommended...

The Rich & Hearty, Tomato Florentine with Italian Sausage Soup is the closest soup from a can has ever come to tasting homemade to me. It's tasty, filling, and has a nice, mild amount of heat from the Italian sausage. I wouldn't call it spicy, but it certainly isn't bland. You could punch up the flavor a bit things from your spice rack to customize it to your taste, but it's the 1st canned soup I've tried that honestly doesn't need it. Nuke in the microwave or heat on stove, and BAM! super easy, delicious meal in minutes. I'll be keeping it regularly stocked in my pantry from now on.

This is my new favorite Progresso soup. As soon as I tried my first bowl I was back online ordering more. Be forewarned - this soup has a spicy kick to it, both in the seasonings and in the sausage. As described, this is a hearty soup - thick with pasta, tomato chunks, spinach and sausage - it borderlines being a pasta dish. If you like spicy, you'll love it. Otherwise you'll want to try something else (another favorite is the Progresso creamy Tomato Basil). Also, maybe it's just me but even though these cans say they serve two, this is a hearty meal for one. This soup actually makes me look forward to winter...

As a New England native, I remember the way it is supposed to taste. Born and raised in Connecticut we had chowder at least one a week, and it typically was the creamy style. Now living in Las Vegas, I still haven't found the restaurant that "remembers", but I am sure there is one out here. In the meantime, I'll enjoy my case of Progresso.....it's great.

Exactly as the label says, rich and hearty and so delicious. The pop off top is an added plus. I know it's not ideal but you can even eat this cold if you are unable to get to a stove or microwave. I've been sick for a while and can get to the kitchen but I keep various foods that are edible out of the mini fridge and this is.

It is delicious and truly rich and thick. I like to add a can of chopped clams, serve with a thick slice of bread, and a small salad for a complete dinner!

My husband and I each take a can of Progresso soup to work for lunch every day. It's easy, filling, and all you need to add is crackers, a bowl, and a spoon. I buy it through Amazon by the case because we will go through a case a week. When I go to our local supermarket to buy it, they never seem to have the flavors we like, so buying from Amazon makes sense, (they always have a big variety available) and if it's offered as "prime", then it's delivered right to my front porch, and the shipping is free! There's no schlepping through the market, no carting cases of soup from the car into the house, and no wasting gas driving all over town looking for our favorite flavors. It's all win! The soup tastes great, and we love it. We save a lot of money by not eating lunch from a restaurant every day, too!

Clearly I must love this soup as I got myself 12-packs of these things. Twice. And I live alone. Or maybe that's why I bought so much soup? At least compared to local stores like Safeway, you can't beat the Amazon price for these soups. Cheapest I saw the soup was $3.29 a can at my local Safeway, compared to $2.78 a can at time of writing this review (before the subscribe and save discount.) Flavour wise, the wild-rice adds a nice texture. I much prefer it over potatoes. The chicken is pretty decent too -- for processed meat in a can. The one problem you MIGHT encounter though is that about 30% of my soup cans came dented. Amazon needs to figure out how to better package soup for transit. But then again, that's where the great customer service at Amazon comes in. When I got a hold of support, they offered to refund my case or just send me a replacement case. I opted for a replacement and just discarded the dented cans. So you can pretty much order this with confidence if you like this flavour in the first place, and if there's a problem, Amazon will fix it. :)
