Great purchase!
With a working flash, a double view finder, a larger (than the older version) display, easy to work controls to scroll, delete and turn on and off, it's approx. 60 picture internal memory, the durability and attractive look for a toddler; there's only one more thing that you could ask for and that's a bit better picture quality. The pros FAR outweigh the con. To me, it was just a bit pricey, but I think we have gotten what our money paid for! My 2 1/2 year old daughter LOVES this, and out of everything it has already become her favorite gift, the strap never leaving her wrist! She LOVES seeing her pictures, and taking pictures of everything, including little piggy-toes, the wall, or the dog's tail! LOL. This is a big hit in our home.... Though where I bought my new version of this item, it was $69.00, so shop around for a good price. :)

Made my daughter's birthday!
My 4yr old daughter was set up for this toy. She was using everything she could get her hands on as a pretend camera including toy cell phones and anything that was remotely rectangular box shaped. When she opened this camera she was beyond excited. She used it at her own party and had the memory full within 15 minutes. The Kid tough digital camera will store about 60 or so images at the default resolution. We haven't transferred any images to a pc yet, but on the screen they look poor. Maybe worse than the typical cell phone camera. That's ok though as that is not the main benefit of the camera anyway. For the kids here's the deal. . .you have a viewfinder that you can keep both eyes open with, it makes a real shutter sound and makes an actual picture that you can review on the LCD screen. They don't care about the quality of the photos. For the parent it is a great transition into early photography training, and using a PC. Digital is great. . .I wasn't allowed to use a camera until much later in life because of the costs of film. It IS tough and seems to be able to hold up to my kid anyway. If your child has a bent toward cameras and taking photos this is a great toy.

Good gift for my niece.
Bought this for my niece about 4 years ago. She really loved it and used it for a long time.

A great product!
This camera is excellent. I saw some reviews that criticize the quality of the on-camera display, but my 5 year old loves this camera, and as a result, I love it too. It is very durable, sturdy and I dare say kid proof. The quality of the pics in high resolution is about as good as I expected when I consider that my daughter loves to see that her pictures are downloaded to our computer. She isn't picky about the resolution of course. This camera is a great product, an excellent learning tool for taking pictures. Depending on how you look at it the only downside to the limited on-board memory is that in hi-res it only takes about 20 pictures. The upside to this is that you don't have to download and organize that many pics. I purchased a 1MB memory card for $7.00 so now she can take pictures till her heart's content. I am glad I bought the camera, but not quite as glad as my child. Have fun!

great
title says it all on these cameras! they are tough! i wasn't real pleased with how the picture quality was, but it's for a kid who's taking pictures of anything so it sufficed.

zrecs.com compared all and found this one was the best, and I agree
My 5 year old is wild about this and we are very pleased with the purchase. It's been easy for her, easy for us to download and unbelievably durable. We checked Zrecs.com which did a side-by-side comparison test-trials with all the kids digital cameras (pixie, world, and v-tech included)and they picked the fisher price one on all counts, including resolution. I do concede that the pic resolution is not at the level adult cameras are, but I imagine that has something to do with attempting to package that somewhat fragile technology in the sturdiest form possible. The pics are still good enough to put in a scrapbook, etc. Note: I would suggest spending the extra $ and buy the camera packaged with the extra memory card. It's hard to find it to buy separately and 60 pictures go quickly with trigger-happy kids. Hope this helps! Merry Christmas!

This was the best present for a little girl. She hasn't put it down. When we leave to go somewhere she asks "Wheres my camera." I think this is one of the best toy purchases I have made. She really likes that she can see the picture she took right away. The visual clarity in the viewing window is not perfect but good enough for a little kid to see the picture she took. I'll buy this for other children in the future.

Great camera for first time photographers!
After seeing my neighbor's, I had to get it. It is great for those first timers and it lets me have a break from them using (and smudging, loading up my memory card, etc) mine! Honestly, it does not take the greatest pictures, and sometimes in certain light, it really doesn't take well. But they have not been disapointed and you have to remember, it's a kid's camera, not a top of the line one. You can stil make out what pictures are what. My youngest who is 3, can use this camera with no problems, knows how to delete, look at all of her pictures, and turn it off. It is very sturdy, love the rubber sides so it doesn't slip.

Hours of fun for a toddler
My 2.5 year old daughter just received this is a Christmas gift. She LOVES it. She immediately knew how to use it and was snapping pictures left and right. We've even uploaded her photograph art to our Web site so the family can see the amusing photos she has taken. No, the picture quality isn't the highest but the ease of use for toddler fingers makes up for it. I would suggest this camera for the 2-4 age group. A child older than 4 can operate and probably not completely destroy, an inexpensive regular camera. But for a 2 year old, the minimal buttons, chunky hand grips, large viewfinder and easy to hit picture taking button are worth the price.
